Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Description of AI Use:
In this project, Generative AI was used to create promotional artwork, various in-game art assets, and music tracks. Additionally, AI was employed as a coding assistant to help develop and optimize the game's source code. All final outputs have been curated and modified by our development team to meet our creative standards.
This game uses generative AI tools in parts of development:
Music Design
Some background music and sound effects were generated using AI tools, then refined by human composers.
Visual Assets
Certain textures were AI-generated and refined by artists.
Programming Support
AI assisted with debugging and refining portions of the code. All output was reviewed and tested by developers.
No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not generate new AI content at runtime.
A few promotional images used on this store page were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. The game itself contains no AI-generated content.
Pre-Generated: Source code generated with AI coding assistance (Claude Code by Anthropic), directed and reviewed by the developer. A portion of visual assets generated with AI image tools, edited and integrated by the developer.
Live-Generated: None.
All in-game content, including gameplay assets, audio, writing, and text, was created by humans, as credited in the game.
Some Steam store and promotional materials may have been created or refined with the assistance of generative AI / LLM tools, for example for drafting or polishing marketing assets.
Some visual assets in the game may involve the use of AI-assisted tools during the early stages of their creation. However, all such assets undergo extensive manual editing, refinement, and artistic rework by our team.
As a result, no artwork in the final game is presented in a purely AI-generated form. All visuals are carefully curated and significantly enhanced to meet our artistic standards.
This product includes AI-assisted content creation. AI tools were used to generate certain images, music, voice lines, sound effects, and an introductory video. All AI-generated materials were curated, edited, refined, and implemented by the developer. The developer retains full rights to the final content included in the game.
AI tools were used in various stages of development, including prototyping, localization and the creation of some visual assets. The project is developed by a single creator, and AI-assisted tools are part of the workflow. All gameplay systems and implementation are authored and controlled by the developer. No generative AI is used at runtime.
Thunderhawk: Danger Close uses a minimal amount of AI generated assets, including a handful of textures, marketing art, and dialog. Roughly 95% of the game's total content is human-authored, including all models, sound effects, music, and code. A detailed AI-generated content disclosure can be found on our website.
AI was used only for limited assistance, such as refining some logos, helping with music production, and translating texts into other languages.
All core game content — including ships, designs, graphics, 3D models, sound effects, and more — is handcrafted. Overall, the game was created using traditional development methods.
The soundtrack uses curated, AI-assisted music tracks created with a generative tool. All audio is pre-rendered, reviewed by the developer, and not generated dynamically for players.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
We use AI tools to support various parts of our development process:
Coding assistance: AI helps streamline parts of the game development by suggesting or optimizing code.
Concept art: We collaborate with our artists to generate AI-assisted concept art, allowing us to iterate faster during early visual development.
Marketing: Occasionally, we use AI tools in combination with our VFX and music teams to create promotional videos.
Voice acting: We use AI-generated sample lines to guide voice actors during recording sessions and provide reference tone and pacing.
In this game, we use artificial intelligence (AI) for certain parts of the development process. The final product reflects the creativity and expression of the development team.
Pre-generated only. The game contains artwork and music created with generative AI before release. All visuals were edited and finalized by the developer in Photoshop. Music was generated with Suno and mastered for in-game use.
No runtime AI is used — the game does not generate content while running. No user prompts or uploads are accepted.
We use AI to generate some pre-rendered visual assets for the game.
This includes the store banner, achievement icons, and the artwork used on the loading screen.
The mission dialogues and character voices were created using AI. Since the game is fully offline, the voices are pre-generated and not produced in real time during gameplay.
