Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
To help with store visuals I used generative AI tools to assist in creating some promotional artwork and banners for the Steam page. All actual game content, gameplay and in-game assets were made without using AI.

The original version of this game was created in Japanese. Translations into other languages were initially drafted with AI assistance, then carefully revised by hand for clarity and natural flow.
I am a solo indie developer with limited time and funds. I use AI art to help in places where my personal pixel art skills are lacking. Many/most all of these pieces get hand cleaned up by me to ensure overall aesthetics, feel, and theme are maintained.
Specific usages of AI Art:
Character/Armor Art - (The characters are the focal pieces of the game. I wanted them clean with the gritty overtones and proper shading. My art is not there yet)
Location Backgrounds - (The floor the character is seen walking on is largely created by AI with touch ups to ensure proper parallax looping)
The pixel art hands in the game's logo/title images - (I'm terrible with pixel art hands... something about the shading)
AI assistance was used for the visuals and music, while a large amount of hand-drawn modification was done for the artwork. On one hand, this was to enrich the game content, and on the other hand, it was due to limited personal development time and budget.
Some of the textures, music, and sound effects used in this application are derived from original materials generated by generative AI, followed by manual adjustment/modification and integration.
During development, an AI writing assistant was used to draft and polish in-game text, including item descriptions, dialogues, and system logs. All text was then manually proofread, edited, and verified by the developers.
Some visual assets in this game were created with the help of AI tools and then reviewed and refined by the developer. The game itself does not use live AI features or generate new content during gameplay.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
Music is generated with Suno AI as a placeholder, we are validating the concept first, our goal is to hire real artists. We <3 creators. We also used it as a coding assistant and for translating.
AI generation tools were used in the development process to create 2D assets (icons, UI elements, textures) and some 3D assets (tool and ore models). These generated assets are manually edited and adjusted during integration into the game.
Out of the 996+ files that make up this game, only 5 image files are AI generated. (Title screen, intro screen, game over screen)
This game is made by a solo indie developer with licensed work from independent artists.
Use of AI in Development (Pre-Generated Only)
-Our game does not create new content at runtime. During development we used AI as a helper in two ways:
-Programming: code-completion and refactor suggestions (e.g., test scaffolds, lint fixes). All code was reviewed and modified by a human before inclusion.
-Assets: early concepts/placeholders for UI icons and marketing drafts. Final in-game and store assets were painted/edited and approved by our team before shipping.
-We do not ship unreviewed model outputs, and we do not include content we believe infringes others’ rights. This disclosure follows Steam’s guidance to label pre-generated vs. live-generated AI usage; our title uses pre-generated only.
AI tools were used only to assist in creating some 2D assets such as the store artwork, promotional images, and achievement icons, as well as to generate a few early design ideas.
No AI systems or models are included or executed within the game.
All logic, and final assets were verified manually. Some mechanics were configurated by AI but verified manually.
This game uses AI-assisted tools to generate certain visual assets, such as character portraits and concept art. These assets were curated and refined by the developer to ensure quality and originality.
Promotional artwork for R.E.M. Rage was created using AI-assisted tools. These assets are used solely for marketing purposes and do not reflect the in-game visuals or assets, which were created manually.
As a solo developer, I use AI tools solely for creative support. Some visual assets in Infinite Cards were created with the help of AI-assisted tools. All generated content was carefully selected and edited to meet the visual style and quality standards of the game.
Human touch + AI. Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used to enhance code efficiency and optimize selected graphical elements, improving the overall performance and visual quality of the project — while preserving its handcrafted style and unique artistic identity.
Generative AI was used in a limited capacity for minor visual polish. Music is a custom mix created by the developer using royalty-free and AI-assisted elements, reviewed and finalized by the developer.
