Public Steam disclosure research 25,497 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
As a solo developer, I've used AI to generate a number of 3d models, textures, and images. Most have been modified after their generation to some extent.
Generation of UI elements and music
The developer describes how their game utilizes AI-generated content as follows: Here’s how I use AI in this game: to generate images, music, and sound effects—mainly these three.
Some sound effects were created using artificial intelligence.
My approach to AI is that it's better for a game to come out with graphics drawn by a computer than not at all! I have had about TWENTY projects canceled at different times due to the fault of artists! So I'd rather lose part of an unhappy audience than lose it entirely again by relying on humans! All images created by neural networks are included in an external module and can be disabled or replaced with a custom file via Steam Workshop if desired.
The developers of this game have used generative AI to create various visual and audio aspects of the experience.
This game uses Google Gemini AI to provide real-time educational information about locations on Earth. The AI assistant responds to player questions about geography, history, culture, and natural phenomena. All AI-generated content is educational and factual, with responses converted to speech using Google Text-to-Speech. The AI does not generate user-created content or allow custom prompts - it only provides informative responses to predefined question categories about Earth exploration.
Ai in the skyboxes
2D content images often generated with GenAI.
Some music tracks, background narration scripts, and concept drafts were created with the help of AI tools during development. All AI-assisted content was then refined, edited, and finalized by our developers. No AI content is generated live during gameplay.
English Version: This game uses artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in limited ways to enhance creativity and player interaction. AI is used as follows: Text and Dialogue: Some character dialogue, mission descriptions, or narrative content are partially assisted by OpenAI’s GPT model (ChatGPT / GPT-5) during development or runtime. Content Review: All AI-generated content is reviewed and filtered by humans to ensure it complies with Steam’s content policies and copyright standards. Non-Infringement Assurance: The AI model is not instructed to reproduce or imitate any copyrighted works (such as books, films, music, or games). Player Interaction: During gameplay, AI may generate adaptive responses to player input, but all outputs are monitored and filtered through built-in safety systems. The use of AI in this game is intended solely for creative assistance and interactive storytelling. All final content is reviewed and approved by the development team.
Some of the UI elements, logo background and logo animation
This game uses generative artificial intelligence in a limited capacity to create some user interface images and visual elements for the narrative videos. AI was also used to support the writing of certain code snippets during development. No AI-generated content was used directly; everything was modified and adapted to integrate seamlessly with the game's visual and technical style. The 3D models, most of the code, and the overall design were developed manually by the team.
AI was used to generate some 2D graphics, primarily to improve the quality of some textures to 4K and 8K. Text to Speech was used to create character voices.
AI tools were used only to draft/iterate on poster/store imagery featuring our in-game elf characters. All in-game assets (models, textures, UI, audio, code) are non-AI. Final posters were edited and cleared for IP/likeness.
In developing the game, we used AI (Eleven Labs) for just one voiceover, while the remaining three characters are voiced by actors.
Some visual assets on this page as well as in-game content include pre-rendered imagery generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. These images are used for illustrations only. This game does not contain any AI live-generated content nor code.
This game uses generative AI tools in certain aspects of its development process, including: Music Design: Some background music and sound effects were generated using AI tools, then edited and finalized by human composers. Visual Assets: Selected textures and 3D models were created with reference to AI-generated concepts and were manually refined and integrated by artists. Programming Support: Generative AI was used to assist in debugging and refining small portions of the game code, with all output reviewed and tested by developers. No generative AI is used during gameplay. The game does not generate new AI content at runtime.
Some CGs and background images are generated by AI
The game contains 60+ unique pre-rendered team logos that were AI generated to maintain a consistent look for our leagues debut.
This game does not use AI-generated content in its final assets.
AI was used for: - Motion Capture (2) - 2D Assets (3) - Photo to 3D (3) - 3D optimization (3)
Some of the example images use AI-generated source material for demonstration purposes only. However, all 3D visual effects shown are the actual output generated by this software, without manual editing or compositing. The example images were created by me using Google Gemini. They are free to use, including for commercial purposes.
We used AI to generate spotter phrases based upon the voices of real-life NASCAR spotters, with their approval. We also used AI to generate crew member photos.
AI tools were used to assist in the creation of the store capsule artwork and language localizations for the game's interface and subtitles.
Title text in the store capsule images is made with AI
The content generated by AI are some of the 3d assets that can be found in the game, as well as the main title screen.
Voice of game characters and theme song.
We used AI to create static art assets: the store cover, in-game UI elements, and some in-game textures. Every AI-generated image was hand-edited, curated, and checked for copyright and content compliance. The game itself does not generate new content or code while you play, and no player data is ever sent to an AI service.
Cartoon images of children in marketing materials
AI is used to create game icon
The station AI's voice is made by AI.
Partially use in Graphics. (some 3D Model and Textures generations)
The background image of the store page is created using AI assistance
AI was used to create some 2D graphics elements
Used for creating the game banner
Used for creating the game banner
AWS's Polly text-to-speech tool was used to generate speech/audio. All dialog, however, was created without generative AI tools.
Voice Usage: This game includes voiceovers generated using AI voice technology. Image Usage: This game contains in-game images that were created using AI-generated artwork.
Artificial intelligence was used for a very limited number of in-game assets, such as textures, icons, and audio.
Our small icon was made with help using AI. In game we used AI to generate some skyboxes.
Some texture files. Blueprint coding advice.
Our game uses generative AI exclusively for creating synthetic sounds and voiceovers. These AI-generated audio elements are entirely artificial and are not based on or identifiable with any real individual. We do not use AI for gameplay, narrative, or character design—only for enhancing the audio experience.
AI was used to enhance realism
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
AI made imaginary comic book pages seen in trailer and previev pictures.
We use AI tools to generate some of the game's pre-rendered image assets, such as background art and promotional graphics. These AI-generated visuals are used purely for aesthetic purposes and do not impact gameplay, story, or player interaction. All core gameplay elements are handcrafted.
DBF2 contains 2D posters generated using Mid Journey Mostly at the level that was made first (Irish Pub) Will be consistently replaced by 2D arts made by artists during the early acces stage
Used an innovative AI technique to turn paintings into flat, tileable textures. Use AI voice generation for some NPC voices.
We sometimes use AI to kickstart ideas or test directions, but everything in Spell Beat is shaped, reworked, and hand-polished by real humans until it feels juicy. AI experiments mainly help us figure out what NOT to make. The final experience is crafted by actual people who care way too much about way too many details.
