Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
At this stage, some in-game text is translated using generative AI tools as a temporary solution. All other content — art, models, audio, and design — is created manually. AI translation will be replaced with professional human localization for the full release.
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of certain sound effects included in the game. These assets were generated during the development phase and are included as static elements in the final build. The AI was used as a supplementary tool to enhance environmental audio, while all creative direction, editing, and integration were performed by me as the solo developer
Thug Arena was made with the use of AI and LLMs to generate many of the graphical assets. The game was made by two brothers in our spare time, and none of us are artists or can afford to pay artists for this game. We have used AI creatively to get to a style we liked for the game including most but not all assets, such as trees, buildings, pedestrians and weapons.
Generative AI was used to assist in creating certain promotional and store page artwork. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and refined by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
This game uses AI-assisted tools for selected art assets and animated content during development. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed and modified by the development team. The story, dialogue, and written content are fully created by the team, and the game does not include real-time AI interaction.
Pre-generated generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating and editing some 2D visual assets, including backgrounds, character images, scene variations, and promotional artwork. AI tools were also used to assist with drafting, editing, and localization of some text. All final content was selected, reviewed, and edited by the developer before inclusion. No generative AI is used during gameplay, and players cannot generate content in the game.
Generative AI was used in preparing the store page materials: the text description and the screenshots. The screenshots are not AI-generated - they are captured from the actual game, with AI tools used for color correction. All materials have been reviewed and approved by the developer.
No generative AI runs during gameplay: all content is fixed and nothing is generated live
Generative AI tools were used during development to create and refine portions of the game’s pre-generated visual artwork, including character and enemy art, environments, UI elements, icons, effects, and cutscene imagery. Generative AI was also used for sound effects and as an assistant during programming and development. All generated material was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
Pixel art assets, the soundtrack, and portions of the game's writing were created with generative AI, then curated and edited by the developer. The game's design, satirical concept, and systems are original human work. All sound effects were recorded by voice actors.
We have only used Gen AI for the purposes of creating and placing the Capsule Art of the game.
We will be replacing the capsule art with our in-house capsule art.
We at GabaCool believe in the beauty of human art. Hence, we don't allow ourselves to create art by AI.
We use it for coding, no worries we are professional engineers. We also use it for voice line generation, as we are a small team in the bootstrap phase. Localization is another point. We are dedicated to remedy this.
Where we will never use it: Story, Art, Music, Models, and all creative. Because that's what makes us human.
