Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I use AI to improve images.
Localization for languages other than English and Estonian has been generated with help of AI.
Used for marketting only
AI was used to create the UFO, drone, and city backdrop for the capsule art. Nothing in-game is AI generated.
Some in-game assets were created with the assistance of AI tools. Arcana card designs and some icons use AI-generated assets.
Generative AI technology is used in a supplementary capacity during the creation of some 2D prop assets. Any such assets are replaced through our production pipeline by our art and development teams, ensuring they meet our quality standards and creative direction.
Background image in main menu and couple of props.
We used AI tools during development to assist with localization. We also used AI-based tools in the production of some cutscene videos. All outputs included in the game were reviewed and edited by our development team.
AI-Generated Content Disclosure The developer provides the following information regarding the use of AI-generated content in this game: Some elements, such as character illustration animations and certain minor character illustrations, include content created using commercially available generative AI tools.
Some User Interface art has been generated using AI.
Generative AI was used to create or assist with UI elements, image assets, 3D model-related visual assets, and BGM.
English and Italian localization have been handled internally by our team. All other currently available languages, such as Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Japanese, Russian, and French, are temporarily supported through AI-assisted translation. These translations are placeholder versions and will be gradually replaced with finalized localizations leading up to the 1.0 release of the game. No AI-generated content has been used for any other aspect of development, including coding, art, music, or 3D modeling.
PhotoGuesser uses generative AI to assist in creating some pre-rendered audio content, such as sound effects and music used in the game. All AI-assisted audio content is reviewed, selected, and integrated by the developer before being included. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay, and player input is not sent to any generative AI service.
Game logo is based on an AI generated imagery
Tears of Adria was created by a very small team. We used our resources to work with three talented artists. Most portraits along with some icons and images are AI-created. Voice lines are primarily performed by real voice actors, very few are generated and some are AI enhanced.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence to create some of its visual content, particularly the images shown in cutscenes. These AI-generated visuals help bring the story to life and allow for faster iteration and creative exploration. The cutscene images will be updated regularly as the technology improves and as the game's story evolves. This means you may notice changes in visual quality and storytelling over time, as we continue to refine and enhance the experience.
AI was used to translate the following languages: -Japanese -Russian -French -Portuguese
MidJourney, NVidia CANVAS, ChatGPT used in development and may or may not appear in final product.
The translations and a few special icons were created with AI.
Some scenery/environment visual elements (map backgrounds) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development and were later reviewed, edited, and integrated manually by the team. All other game content — characters, UI, icons, gameplay sprites, tilesets, audio and text — was produced without generative AI, using original artwork and/or licensed third-party assets.
Some languages include text that was initially generated using machine translation as a base, with partial revisions and feedback incorporated by translation contributors. Additionally, this response itself has been translated from Japanese using generative AI.
AI tools were used to create the game's logo and the store page's marketing assets (capsules). All other in-game assets have been replaced with manually created graphics. The AI-generated base marketing materials and logo were subsequently edited and modified manually before integration.
Code optimization, music creation, and some artwork.
We use AI as a tool to help support parts of our game development workflow, not to replace the creativity behind the game. It helps us speed up iteration and improve efficiency in certain areas, while the ideas, design, art direction, and overall vision remain entirely shaped by our team. For us, AI is simply one of many tools that helps us spend more time focused on making the best game possible.
Pictures and Musics, voices are created by AI (Midjourney, murf.ai)
Some images, dubbing, text, and some 3D models were partially created using AI tools.
All game works are either original hand-made works that we own, or they were AI-assisted and redrawn or touched up by hand. Our trailers were also AI-assisted with original works we own to enhance their quality. All AI voices were trained on licensed material that has commercial rights to use or that we own and were manually directed by the developer.
Dark and Darker has begun utilizing AI-powered tools in the content creation process. All elements that make up the essence of the game are still done by the people who make this game.
AI support has been used for the localization and some Steam Community items.
Some parts of the localization
This game features user-generated content (UGC), which may include AI-generated materials created by our players. We utilize AI technologies to assist with the generation, modification, and review of in-game localization, and to create select graphical assets, such as achievements, badges, UI icons, logos and marketing materials.
AI voiceover is used for the tutorial.
Some translations and text are AI generated
AI have been used to create images and generate sounds to the game.
Generative AI is initially used in the localization, but later replaced with human-translated text in the main release version. Additional languages only available in the optional "testing" beta branch contains AI-translated text that is not yet replaced.
As a small independent team, we use AI as a supportive tool to help us develop and improve Inferna more efficiently. We may use AI-assisted tools for certain visual materials, such as patch note images, announcements, and loading screens. AI may also support our localization work, including translations of some in-game texts into selected languages. During gameplay, AI is used for live translations, making it easier for players from different countries to communicate, trade, group up, and play together. Our live translation system is hosted locally on our own infrastructure. Player messages are not sent to third-party AI providers, and player data is never used to train AI models.
As a small indie team, we may use procedural and/or AI-based tools to assist with the development process. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
Human Error utilizes cloud based generative AI to power the dialogue and interrogation systems of its robotic characters. During the Debrief Session, an integrated model generates text responses based on your performance metrics in the preceding tasks. This technology is used to create dynamic, unscripted confrontations where the machines analyze your behavior and react to your input in real time. The game generates text-based dialogue during the social deduction phase. This content is created in real time using your performance data (movement patterns, task efficiency, and error logs). This process requires an active internet connection to communicate with our cloud hosted AI systems. We have implemented guardrails to ensure the AI remains within the thematic boundaries of the game. To maintain high quality interactions and manage operational costs, gameplay is limited to 25 games per day per user. This ensures that our cloud-based AI systems remain available and responsive for all players.
AI tools were used in the creation of this game’s box art. The Miners and Zombies shown are in-game renders, with AI-assisted post-processing applied to enhance lighting and detail. The background environment and title text were generated using AI tools. This AI disclosure was written with the assistance of AI tools. No generative AI has been used for in-game assets at this time.
The loading and main menu background picture was generated by AI.
AI-assisted tools were used during development for early concept art exploration and preliminary localization drafts. All content is being reviewed and refined by the development team, and final in-game assets and text will be fully edited before release.
Pre-rendered AI generation was used to create 2D marketing materials and storefront capsule art (logos, background art, capsule images).
Some audio assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development.
Some pre-generated content in the game and store materials was created with the assistance of generative AI during development. All final content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not use live-generated AI during gameplay
UI icons and localization are made with the help of AI.
This game used generative AI to create sound effects, music, and the splash screen
Some in-game artwork, including silver and gold tier chess pieces, game boards, and character upgrade images, were created using AI image generation tools.
Mystic Grove uses generative AI in a limited supporting role for certain pre-rendered content, including music and some 2D visual assets such as skill images, spec node images, and related artwork. The core game itself — including gameplay systems, programming, combat, level design, map creation, and overall development — is solely created by the developer. Mystic Grove does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
Some visual and audio assets were created with the assistance of AI tools and further refined by the development team.
Item Icons and some UI elements are AI generated via code.
