Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI was used for production tasks such as background removal on digitized sprites, interpolation frame generation, and some UI elements. Core visuals are a mix of traditional pixel art and 90s-style digitized assets. All music and sound effects are original and human-made.
I have used AI to machine translate the in-game texts to languages other than danish and english.
I would very much like your help in refining these translations, if you come across something that is really off. Thank you in advance.
During development, AI-powered tools were used to assist with coding, early concept art, and placeholder voice acting (AI voice acting is temporary). These tools supported early prototyping, but the assets they produced are not representative of the final game and will be replaced by human-created content before the game reaches the Early Access stage.
I've only used generative AI to create a few decorative paintings that appear in the game environment.
No character models, UI elements, or gameplay-related assets were generated with AI.
I'm a solo developer without an art background, and I used AI just to fill in some gaps during development.
In the future, I plan to work with professional artists to replace or enhance these assets.
Artificial Intelligence was used to assist with the English translation and visual setup of this store page — including grammar corrections and initial layout polishing.
Some early illustrations, mostly placeholders, were created using licensed AI tools. These will be replaced with original artwork in the coming days as part of our ongoing updates.
This game utilizes generative artificial intelligence to create pre-rendered visual assets such as pixel art sprites, including maps, weapons, and other environmental elements. The AI-assisted design process was employed to produce aesthetically cohesive and stylistically refined graphics that align with the game’s overall visual identity. In this context, AI serves not merely as a tool, but as a creative catalyst that enhances and expands the manual art pipeline.
AI was used solely for the generation of static content and not for real-time gameplay or dynamic in-game decision-making. This includes in-game visuals as well as promotional materials featured on the store page.
Some of the promotional and storefront images were created with AI tools and then refined by hand. All of the in-game assets were designed by a 3D artist.
Our game uses AI primarily to support functions that would traditionally require a larger development team. Due to our limited resources, we integrated AI tools to streamline content generation and support game balancing.
The 3D cat models, cat and achievement graphics, and background music used in our game were generated using AI and subsequently modified by us. Additionally, AI support was utilized in the creation of some of the text within the game and achievements.
Some visual assets used in the game and on this Steam page were created with the assistance of AI-generated imagery. These elements have been significantly modified and manually edited to align with the game's overall art direction and art style.
Some visual assets (such as the logo and a few textures), as well as the store page summary, were created using generative AI tools. No generative AI is used in real-time gameplay.
Some of the game's visual assets—such as expedition events and rewards—were assisted by AI during creation and carefully refined by human to deliver a rich and engaging adventure experience for players.
We used generative AI during development to draft some artwork. The game does not generate content at runtime and players cannot create AI content.
All assets are cleared for copyright and policy-compliant commercial use.
Some visual concepts, store art assets, and most of the gameplay scripting were created with the assistance of AI tools to support solo development and explore creative ideas more efficiently. All final in-game content has been reviewed, tested, and implemented manually.
AI is used for a lot of the dialogue, as well as the opening cutscene where Fresh Cut Slim chases Charmx. All use of AI is meant for entertainment only and isn't meant to defame Fresh Cut Slim or his previous alias (Charmx) or portray him in a negative light.
