Public Steam disclosure research 25,497 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Artificial intelligence was used during development to generate certain visual assets, including some crafting item assets, the game icon, and store page visuals.
AI tools were used during development for coding assistance (Kiro AI). Store artwork and marketing images were created using Leonardo.ai. Achievement icons were created using PixelLab. No AI content is generated during gameplay - all in-game assets are static and pre-made.
Some music is AI generated. Writing is also checked by AI. Some art is also AI generated and personalized after.
Some assets are AI generated and subsequently polished manually.
AI was used for the creation of some assets, such as the skybox in game, and the sand texture for one of the maps.
Some in-game visual assets and code snippets were developed with the assistance of generative AI tools. These pre-generated elements were used to enhance the visual quality and technical foundation of the game.
Used AI for Game logo and icons
Small portion of code is generated using AI
This game makes use of pre-generated AI content. Usage Details: Visual assets (specifically item sprites) and sound effects were created using generative AI software. The AI served as the primary tool for generating the foundational materials. Verification: We confirm that all content used is free of illegal or copyright-infringing material.
Some Sounds and 2d Image
For languages other than Japanese, the translations have been generated through AI-based machine translation.
Ai has been used in the creation of some images used for marketing or in-game (such as loading screens).
Puroguramukōdo ni AI o shiyō shimashita. 19 AI was used in the program code.
using AI to create some graphics and voiceovers
AI was used for the following: Title logo Upgrade icons Multilingual localization BGM for bases, stages, and results screens
AI is used to create some previews and to post-process some images.
AI was used as a supporting tool for specific visual and audio elements and is not used in gameplay, story, mechanics, or coding. All final decisions remain with the developer.
This game uses generative AI tools during development: as a coding assistant to optimize workflow, for some visual assets, for writing and editing in-game text, and for localization. I know AI-assisted development isn't for everyone, and that's fair.
AI was used for programming and artwork
AI was used to translate the game into French, Spanish and Brazil Portuguese. Friends speaking these languages checked for accuracy but I will adjust any translation errors, when the community let me know about them!
Elements of the Pictures during events, videos, character portaits, voices and some of the 3d models are generated with the assistance of AI
Marketing assets (Capsule Art, Headers) and in-game 2D assets (sprites, icons, UI elements, backgrounds) were conceptualized and generated using AI tools (Nano Banana Pro), then manually edited, animated, and composited by the developer. Sound Effects were generated using AI-based synthesis tools (ElevenLabs). Background Music was generated using AI composition tools (Soundraw). No AI is used for live generation during gameplay.
For the initial demo iteration, the 3D meshes for the main character and enemies were generated from a concept art made by a human artist.
Some store capsule, library, and marketing artwork were generated using AI tools and then manually edited by the developer. No AI-generated content is used during gameplay, and the game does not generate AI content live while running.
Icon Artwork
Generative AI was used for the production of SOME art assets. Some are completely handmade, Some are almost entirely AI with additional human editing. This normally varies by game where one will have lots of AI and one will be completely handmade. Art assets refer to images and music. No AI ever runs during runtime.
AI was only used to enhance images we already had, giving them a look more in line with the game’s retro ’80s theme. Its use was limited solely to images for the store page and game icons.
The images required for the game (maps, characters, zombies) were generated using AI.
Store Page temporarily featuring AI-generated images, pending future updates.
AI is only used to accelerate development
Some visual assets such as UI elements, icons, and promotional images were created or assisted using generative AI tools. All assets were reviewed, edited, and implemented by the developer. No copyrighted material was intentionally replicated.
AI-generated artwork: Used Banana AI/Midjourney with reference images to create consistent bird fighting game visuals (raven capsule, owl hero banner) matching Steam specs in 2 hours.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with placeholder music and art assets during early development.
Some promotional artwork and store page capsule images for Floral Fury Online were created or enhanced with the assistance of AI-based image generation tools. These images are used exclusively for marketing and store presentation purposes. Additionally, certain portions of the game’s code were developed with the assistance of AI-based coding tools. However, the game’s scene design, creative direction, and overall visual composition were created by human developers.
This game does not contain any AI-generated visual or audio assets. I only used AI as a tool for: - Assistance with translations and wording
AI assisted tooling has been used sparingly during the creation of some in-game content: Music, textures
Artificial intelligence was used to create some interface icons, all voice acting (English and Russian), as well as for text translation. All other content was created manually.
The Logo is AI generated.
This game does not use AI to generate content during gameplay. All gameplay systems, visuals, audio, and text are handcrafted and included as part of the game. AI tools were used during development in a limited way to assist the developer with prototyping, debugging, and refining code. These tools acted as a productivity aid only. All final decisions, implementations, and content were created and reviewed manually. There are no AI-driven characters, dynamic content generation, or systems that learn from player behavior. The game does not connect to external AI services, collect player data, or use AI to influence gameplay, difficulty, or monetization. Players can expect a traditional, deterministic game experience without AI-generated content during play.
- Art assets - Store description - We wrote it together (with AI assistance) - Marketing materials
Some AI tools were used by the developer for UI design and coding assistance only. No generative AI was used to create in-game content, visuals, audio, or gameplay mechanics. All game assets and logic are created or selected by the developer.
The following assets in this game were created with the assistance of Generative AI: Visuals : - The main capsule image on the Steam store page - Character images used in dialogue scenes Audio : - In-game background music (BGM), Sound effects (SFX), and UI sounds
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of the current store page capsule art and backgrounds. These images are intended as placeholders / proof of concept and will be replaced with hand-crafted assets as development continues and before release. AI was also used for coding assistance and bug-fixing during development.
Scroll of Cards used AI to assist during development.
For the non-English versions of this game, we have used AI to generate the translations.
- Character Illustration - Character Modeling - Monster Modeling - And More…
The art in this demo was either directly created using the visual assets of the Second Edition of the tabletop game "Heroes of Arcania" or inspired by/edited to be a close approximation of the visual assets of said tabletop game. The art from the tabletop game is NOT AI generated art but AI assisted. All of the art started as a drawing or photograph created by the original artist which was then used as a base image that was processed by AI to sharpen the image. This process ensures that NO ONE'S art is stolen. On top of this, every one of the over 750 unique images used for the tabletop game is put through google image search. If any come back with a result other than "No image found", it is replaced to ensure due diligence is done to protect others.
Because I'm developing this game solo, I use generative to iterate quickly and rapidly produce content.
We used AI to generate the main banner for the game.
Only a few icons are generated by an AI.
