Public Steam disclosure research25,380 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Character designs are created manually by artists and writers, but we use AI to speed up the drawing of details. We also use AI to speed up the drawing of backgrounds and planets. AI is not used to generate content directly during the game.
GeTrix uses AI-powered gesture recognition for intuitive, camera-based controls.
Additionally, AI was used during development to assist with the creation of background music.
No AI is used to generate content or code during gameplay.
We apply artificial intelligence to enhance original materials in 2D content, such as character avatars and loading screens.
Initially, we capture a screenshot of the staging scene within the game. Subsequently, this screenshot undergoes processing using artificial intelligence while preserving all key proportions and details of the original material. Following this, our artists conduct final processing if necessary.
This game uses AI-generated character art assets to enhance visual content and speed up development. All AI-generated assets were carefully curated, refined, and integrated by the developer to ensure consistency with the game’s style and quality. No gameplay or narrative content is AI-generated — all design, mechanics, and storytelling are handcrafted.
AI Usage Disclosure for Flowrate:
AI was used in Flowrate primarily as a support tool. It helped with brainstorming, idea development, and marketing text drafts, all of which were carefully reviewed and edited. On the development side, AI assisted in working through code logic, but all implementations were manually written, tested, and validated. No AI-generated assets or art were used. The creative direction, design, and implementation of Flowrate remain entirely human-led.
I use commercially licensed AI generated graphics assets as temporary placeholders for some card images and icons because of the frequent card design changes. They will be replaced by manual art after the card designs are finalized in the released game.
In the development of this game, we have drawn inspiration from AI-generated artwork. Additionally, some of the artists we collaborated with may have utilized AI tools to enhance their creative process.
During the game design process, we used generative AI tools to create some visual assets, such as background images and textures, as creative references. Our art team carefully refined these materials to ensure they align with the game’s unique style and high-quality standards.
GenAI technology (DALL-E 3, OpenAI) was used to facilitate the production of the artwork used for effect cards and a couple of images found in the Game Rules and Lore sections. Eventually this artwork will be replaced with 100% hand-crafted imagery.
All of the game models and image assets were initially generated using the latest generation of AI technologies, then heavily modified and polished to meet high-quality visual standards and ensure consistency with the game's art style.
A few placeholder graphics make use of a generated picture, that was then manually adjusted in photoshop and drawn upon to create a different artwork. These are planned to be replaced.
Some promotional images and artwork shown on the store page, as well as a few ability icons, were created using generative AI tools.
AI is not used during gameplay — all mechanics, systems, and bot behavior are fully handcrafted.
During the game production process, as an individual developer, I used AI technology to generate art content, mainly employee portraits, mobile phone and accessories pictures, some scene backgrounds and illustrations in events. After the above content is completed, I also corrected it manually. I hope to achieve the purpose of enriching the player's experience by providing rich pictures; the models and icons in the game are obtained through store asset purchases, and I hope you can understand my decision and support my game. I will continue to work hard to provide you with a better gaming experience.
We've used AI for placeholder assets in early development, all said material has been watermarked to avoid confusion with real art during Playtests, and will be totally removed on Demo and Launch builds.
In terms of Coding, we're using Github Copilot to enhance our IDEs with improved code hints, but never Vibe Coding.
AI generated Pictures.
Backgrounds ,Icons Buttons, Faces.
For ilustration only.
Like Common office,, common Production, common sales department. No brands pointed.
Some Photos and some Photoshop to merge the Images.
As This game is on The math and strategie,, the Visuals are only here to look nice.
I'm a solo dev, mostly a programmer, not an artist. So I used AI to generate some of the images used in the game, then refined them to look a bit better. Hopefully, it won't affect the gameplay experience too much.
Menu page used AI and was edited after. Same for the character faces.
The rest of the assets are either rendered in Blender (no AI models), drawn by an artist or me.
95% of the art in the game is entirely made by artists. The other 5% (some background images and some ship module images) are made using scenario, an AI art service that states on its site: "We ensure that all models on our platform are trained solely on data that we own."
Only this store page uses generative AI (Google Translate) to translate from English into other languages. No generative AI is used in the game or any other materials.
