Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
"In Chef Brawl, we have utilized AI in the following ways:
Content Generation: Some game content was initially generated using AI tools. This served as a starting point for our creative process.
Design References: AI was used to create design references and inspiration for our final product.
Human Refinement: While AI assisted in the initial stages, all AI-generated content and designs were reviewed, refined, and finalized by our human development team to ensure quality and coherence with our game vision.
No core gameplay mechanics or critical narrative elements rely on real-time AI processing. The AI was primarily used as a tool in our development process to enhance creativity and efficiency."
The artwork in Swords, Arrows & Shields has been uniquely generated by AI, including the beautifully crafted designs of the Minor and Major Arcana cards, as well as their card backs.
I used AI to generate some 2D image assets
1 Promotional images on the game store
2 Images of in-game hero commanders, player-customized avatars, artifact images, game interface background images, game loading interface images
Some of the game's visual elements were created using AI tools during the development stage (for example, the design of Albums). Artists manually refined all such materials. Generative AI is not used in the gameplay and does not generate any content during the game.
Generative artificial intelligence was used to create some visual, auditory, and written assets for Disc Golf and its marketing materials. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
This game uses generative AI to improve both the development process and gameplay features. During development, AI tools were utilized to generate certain text, visual, and audio assets.
All AI-generated content is reviewed and controlled to ensure it aligns with the game's design and provides a safe experience for players.
We used AI technology to generate the music for Proportions. We also used text generation to help us translate the description of Proportions in english.
AI is used in this game in the following ways:
- code generation and code error checking via LLMs
- AI is used to create reference images.
- The "generative fill" feature in Photoshop is used occasionally to create in detail on the stage artwork.
- AI generated images may be woven into certain stages.
AI has been used to generate responses to questions which the player can ask, which is a core gameplay feature. AI has not been used in any other parts of the game.
AI was used to enhance some card character drawings with more detail, and generate some voice lines. We'll strive to deliver more authentic content as soon as we can!
I used artificial intelligence for translations and to generate some of the tower's sentences. If the game succeeds, I plan to hire professionals to further enhance the quality of translations and sentences.
AI was used to generate the game logo, trailer intro scene art, trailer music, trailer voice acting, in-game character voice lines, game music, and weapon sound effects. The character model "Soldier Female" is generated by AI. The character models "Lunar Federation Soldier," "Planetary Union Soldier," and "Federation Gas Soldier" are also generated by AI. The "K-67" pistol texture is generated by AI. The character model "Galactic Explorer" is generated with AI. All AI models were generated using Meshy.ai.
We use procedural and AI-assisted tools to support content creation. However, all final in-game content is shaped and reviewed by our development team reflecting our own creativity and expression.
We have used AI assistance to increase our language support, which might result in some localization errors, but we believe it's better than having none at all.
Much of Fire Isle uses Adobe Firefly generated art as a base for the UI buttons. I've further edited/photoshopped all of this art personally to better suit the game's art style and make it my own. As a broke solo dev without much of a 2D art background and no funding to hire anyone, I chose to go this route rather than to not see Fire Isle made at all.
Despite the reasoning behind it, I understand many might not be comfortable with AI generated content. I hope the game itself reflects the thousands upon thousands of hours of time & effort I've put into it's creation with the goal of making a fun and memorable experience, NOT AI Slop🙏...
