Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Only the JusTD logo, without the text, so basically no A.I. content. The languages - other than English and Hungarian - were translated using ChatGPT and Google translate!
This game is programmed using AI.
AI used to generate parts of graphical assets for the store page, marketing materials and community assets. In game, AI was used by a designer to help generate two skybox backgrounds only. AI was used to help create a portion of the art for the game that is difficult and time consuming starting from nothing. This art is of some of the characters and objects in the game that had their rough form generated using google Gemini. All of the AI images generated were modified to match my game's world, and were made to be distinct and original from any other creative works. for example, one of the characters has an image of a beetle shell placed over his face among other artistic design changes to the original AI generated body.
AI generated images used in a satirical context.
The voice of the 'Mater' computer system is synthesized using TTS. Several biological patterns were concept-generated and then human processed.
I'm using AI to generate the store capsule image, running the AI locally on my PC. The image does not violate any copyrights and accurately represents content from my game.
AI was used for localizations.
Some background images and music tracks were generated using AI tools (e.g., OpenAI and an AI music generator with a valid license). All assets are edited and integrated manually. No live AI generation is used during gameplay.
This match3 game is built with AI: - Game logic generated from Cline (VSCode plugin) + Claude AI & Unity Muse - Graphics from Midjourney processed with Rembg - Music from Udio - Sound effects from https://www.optimizerai.xyz/ and https://freesound.org/ (non-AI) - Font suggestions from a mixture of experts with ChatGPT's and Claude's suggestions winning out so far. - Special effects from Unity Particle Pack (non-AI) Thank you to all the awesome providers above! The game uses AI to generate image and audio resources, thereby providing a rich array of playable content.
Some in-game or store images were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence was used to create a few visual elements, such as the logo, the loading screen background, and the Steam store banners. No other aspects of the game or live-generated content rely on AI. These elements aim to enhance the game's visual appeal and its presentation on Steam without affecting gameplay.
AI generated images and voices for game trailers
I use generative AI in Chaos Machina for the following: 1. Generating background for some promotional materials (example is Steam Capsule). 2. Grammar check of all written text. 3. Translation of Chaos Machina text to languages that are not English and Croatian.
AI-generated content does not directly affect the player's experience in our game. AI has been used as a development tool to optimize content creation, such as scriptwriting for videos, cinematics, character models, and sound effects. However, all gameplay and in-game interactions have been manually designed and fine-tuned to ensure an authentic and controlled experience.
Voice for the AI assistant uses pre-rendered audio.
AI is used to generate some graphical and audio content.
Image generation is used for quick concepts and temporary assets during development. LLMs are used for temporary localization, proofreading, research, and boilerplate or other low-impact code (such as tests). Music, sound effects, text, and voice acting are entirely human-made. No AI-generated art will be present in the released game.
Store page: AI was used to localize the marketing text and to create the store banner. In-Game: AI was used to localize the in-game text.
Most texts in the game and store have been refined using AI to improve readability.
Some graphics, icons or design.
This game incorporates generative artificial intelligence to create select assets, including some in-game textures and AI-generated voices, enhancing the immersive and dynamic player experience. This game does not use AI to live-generated content or code during gameplay.
Some images and videos used in in-game signs Character voices: AI placeholders; professional voice acting is intended for a future update. Translations
Some in-game paintings and images were created using AI and then further refined. The translations into some languages have been done by AI
Character portraits, monsters, some map materials, and battle music are generated using AI.
It will be used to help generate randomness and realism to the NPC interactions. The hope is pull content from my book, Children of Arla, to help support the plot and story in the game.
Some assets within the game have been generated under a commercial license via AI sources. The game also supports original art works by the game's developer and the wider artists community.
PAATH-Z embraces cutting-edge technology by incorporating AI-generated images to enhance the game’s immersive atmosphere. AI was utilized to create intricate creature textures, detailed panel backgrounds, and striking static imagery, adding depth and realism to the world and advertising. These AI-driven elements complement the design process, bringing a unique visual style that captures the eerie and intense nature of the PAATH-Z universe, while maintaining the creative vision of the development team.
We used some AI tools to help make our textures look less scuffed.
Generative artificial intelligence was used to create some background graphics for the store and the game
The concept design of the game uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist in creation
AI was used in select aspects of the game's creation, such as designing visual elements like the logo and assisting with smaller parts of the code. These contributions supported the development process, complementing the handcrafted atmosphere, mechanics, and puzzles to deliver a truly immersive and polished experience.
AI is only used for 4 images.
Generation of static images, spellchecking and translations
Game Main Menu Background is AI ganerated. Some Banners in store page is partially generated in AI.
AI images are used for item icon graphics.
Logo and store assets are AI Generated
I use AI and machine translation for text translations within the game and on the store page (The original text is written by a human), as well as resolving some programming processes (less than 1% of total codes), but these are followed by human review and correction of the content. I have not used AI for any graphics assets or BGM resources.
This game utilized AI tools during development to create pre-rendered content, including some music, sound effects, and 3D models. These AI-assisted assets were carefully curated and refined by the developer to ensure they meet the highest standards and fit seamlessly into the game's experience. No live AI generation occurs during gameplay, and all content is pre-rendered and finalized before being included in the game.
Some assets are created with the help of AI
- The rest of the game (game design, code, visual assets, story, text, etc.) was not created using generative AI. - The AI does not participate in real-time gameplay and does not generate content for the user.
We used AI to generate pre-rendered content for this game. for example some icons. and we used ai for get some advice. We have NOT use AI to live-generate content or code during gameplay yet.
the capsule art, main menu background, and various other visual elements in our game are AI-generated. This allows us to bring a unique and dynamic aesthetic to the game while optimizing our creative workflow.
