Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We utilized AI technology to design the capsules for the game's store page.
In this game, we have utilized generative AI technology to enhance the player experience. Specifically, we used ChatGPT to generate some images, story descriptions, and certain text elements within the game. Additionally, some game scripts were also assisted by AI. Our goal is to provide players with a richer narrative and interactive experience through the use of AI technology.
The game content is generated completely by AI, with your provided story backgrounds.
Some art assets, mainly the store page, have been originally created with the use of image generation AI. Which then have gone through manual editing to apply enhancements and branding such as logos or text. Masking and cleanup have also been applied by hand to remove unwanted elements and/or apply the required dimension changes. The reason for the usage of image generation AI for art assets are the following: - Cut the team cost for art commissions. Art is a minimal focus of this game. - Accurately portray the main artistic vision for the game, which in this case is minimalism. Image generation has helped to reach this goal of art assets reflecting the artistic nuances the game aims for the player to "feel".
Uses image generation AI
Most of our generated content has been carefully designed and built in advance, mainly related to cat travel and scenic spot replies. Local model generated content will align with Steam rules, and there will be no negative guidance in the generated content. We will strictly follow the rules and guidelines of the Steam platform to ensure that every output meets Steam's standards and requirements.

Some character images and portraits were generated using AI
AI art was used for the capsule image
The game contains a small percentage of content created with generative AI, such as introductory narratives, some character illustrations, and a few icons. However, we have made sure that each of these things receives the appropriate human touch to achieve the best possible quality. Over 97% of the game content was created by humans.
The game's menu screen is AI-Generated, because unfortunately I am not a digital artist. Also, the posters/images used for the game's Steam page are just the same image that is in the Main Menu. And Jesus Christ's mogging images, because they never took any pictures of Jesus mogging anybody :(
The store page and some in-game images are generated using AI
This software uses DDPG and TD3 self-learning algorithms to train virtual lifeforms to control their bodies. These algorithms only learn from experiences collected by their organisms over the course of their lifetimes and use no other data. In the future, we plan to introduce the recombination engine - a generative AI that will analyse genetic data from lifeforms based on viability and use the results to create new, more capable species of offspring, simulating an accelerated evolutionary process. User-created lifeforms may be used for this as well as those, generated by the engine. Only those lifeforms, explicitly shared by the user, will be utilized for this purpose. Both processes are initiated by the user with their direct permission.
An LLM is used to generate some of the items in the game, if you prefer to have the base game experience, this feature can be turned off in game

I use AI-generated pre-rendered images for the Desktop Backgrounds in the game. This is to provide the player with a more unique, customizable experience over their in-game computer. I also use AI-generated pre-rendered images for character photos/portraits when needed. All images do not resemble or impersonate any person, living or dead.
Generative AI was used in the creation of some in-game portraits, backgrounds, and icons.
The main uses of AI in the creation of this game were for minor coding problems, such as what sorting algorithm to use and detecting bugs occasionally. The second main use was the art. The majority of art in the game is ai generated, but there are no influences on the generation based off of real images. All generated images are random and pre-generated. Keep in mind none of the names in the game are ai generated.
AI was used in the creation of the cover art for the steam page, but that's the only use of AI for any part of the game.
This game utilizes AI-generated imagery only event pop-up illustrations (approximately 10~15 images) depicting scenarios like theft and plagues. All other visual assets, including key art and god depictions, are hand-crafted.
planned for future voice lines
AI-generated music will be used starting from the EA v0.61 update and in subsequent versions.

Used for the voices of the Gods
Chat GPT is used to search for programming solutions and to generate names. AI is used to translate to other languages than English. The paintings are prepared with a mixed canvas of AI images, 3D models, photos, textures and other paintings. And is then manually painted over, together with some filters and effects. Generated audio melodies, voices and sound filters for game events are used.
AI tools were used in the production of the voice acting. We are a five-person team that has been working on this project for several years without the budget of a large studio. In our case, this was a practical solution that allowed us to complete the game at the level of quality we were aiming for. All creative decisions and the final shape of the game were made by our team. AI was used as a supporting production tool, not as a replacement for the creative work behind the game.
