Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
A small number of icons and minor graphical assets currently used in the game are temporary placeholders created with the help of AI. These assets will be replaced with original, custom-made artwork as development progresses. Our goal is to use fully original content in the final version.
Generative AI may be used for certain promotional materials and future story-related visual content. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game or store page.
Keep Drawing was developed by HuDoes Interactive with AI-assisted tools used as part of our workflow — not as a fully automated production pipeline.
Some in-game visuals and UI elements were created or refined with generative AI during development. All such assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before release. Store and marketing graphics (including Steam capsule artwork) were also created with AI assistance and then manually adjusted for quality and consistency.
AI-assisted coding tools were used to help write and refactor parts of the game's source code. The design, game systems, balance, and final implementation remain developer-directed.
This game uses generative AI tools to create certain static visual assets, including background images, loading screens, character portraits, marketing materials, and ship illustrations.
No generative AI is used during gameplay to create game mechanics, simulations, text content, or dynamic systems. All gameplay mechanics and simulation systems are entirely handcrafted and deterministic.
Generative AI tools were utilized during development to assist with writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing game code. Additionally, AI was used as a supplementary tool in the creation of certain graphical assets and sound effects. All AI-generated graphics and audio were manually reviewed, edited, and modified by the developer to ensure they fit seamlessly into the game's retro aesthetic and overall atmosphere.
Peter the Stash Hunter has been mostly designed and coded by hand by a single developer using traditional methods. AI tools were used in the development process only in two supporting roles:
- Translating store descriptions and in-game text into different languages
- Acting as a helper assistant during code writing
All AI outputs have been reviewed and edited by the developer. Translations are planned to be improved over time based on community feedback. None of the game's visuals, story, characters, music, sound effects, gameplay mechanics, or design decisions have been generated by AI. There is also no AI system running inside the game.
The promotional video visuals, character portrait concepts, and trailer voiceovers for this game were assisted by generative AI tools (such as Midjourney and ElevenLabs). All AI-generated assets have been strictly curated, manually edited, and composited by the developer to ensure they match the game's creative vision.
Some pre-generated visual assets used in the game and its store/marketing materials, including certain splash images and UI icons, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. These assets were integrated as pre-generated content during development. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services while running.
This game does not use generative AI in real time.
Any generative AI content is created only in advance, in accordance with Steam's guidelines.
Programming
Generative AI tools may be used to assist with code completion, refactoring, and review. All code is subject to final human review before use.
Translations
For languages other than Japanese, AI tools may be used for translation.

Some in-game graphics and promotional images may be created with generative AI tools. All such assets are reviewed and edited by a human, and none are used as-is.
As an assistive measure, AI has been implemented into our code practices throughout early development. This includes the use of specialist AI models to assist with code reviews, optimisation and minor troubleshooting and bug fixes. Whilst AI has been used in this way, this in no way compromises or risks the quality of any features, content or security, and all code is ultimately reviewed by a human.
We use generative AI tools during development to help create some visual and audio assets. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited by the developer. No AI-generated content is created dynamically during gameplay.
We used AI-assisted tools to help create some visual assets and metadata (e.g., movie cover designs and marketing art). All content was reviewed and refined by our development team to ensure quality and legal compliance.
To ensure that players from diverse cultural backgrounds can fully immerse themselves in the narrative, AI-assisted tools were utilized for localization purposes. This allows us to bridge language barriers and make the game accessible to a global audience.
Some of the background concept art images are AI-generated. Examples include the character background on the right side of the main interface and the background of the puzzle mini-game.
This game features pre-generated visual assets and 3D models created with the help of generative AI during the development process. These assets are fully integrated into the game files, and no AI generation occurs in real-time during gameplay."
