Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

We did not use AI to generate any content at runtime, we only used AI to generate some promotional images
We utilized AI tools to generate internal references for composition and framing. These outputs were then used as a base to manually create handcrafted pixel art assets, ensuring all final in-game visuals follow our custom palettes and artistic standards.

The photos in the store (excluding in-game screenshots) were created with the help of AI. The visuals in the achievements were created with the support of AI.
The game includes an unholy amount of AI-generated content, including: - Textures - Images - Music - Audio effects - Voice lines - Facial and body animations - Code Game allows player to use voice as a main input tool. To achieve great quality of speech to text, a base version of openai's whisper model is used. The content seen in the game is not live-generated. The player's input is embedded into a vector through a small model with 278M parameters. Model: paraphrase-multilingual-mpnet-base-v2 (Used primarily for wide support of languages) Then, the game uses Faiss to match the player's input to known, predefined inputs. Each of those describes a reaction and change in the state of the game. Icon was made with local diffusion model.

AI has been utilized in our game to add an extra layer of immersion. We've used AI-generated static background images to create captivating atmospheres within the game world. Additionally, AI-driven voice synthesis brings some of our characters to life, giving them unique and expressive voices. This use of AI contributes to a more engaging and dynamic experience for players.
Using AI to generate assets for the Steam Store.
AI was used experimentally to generate reference images that were used in the creation of a various art assets in the game. These AI images do not appear in game and were only used indirectly in the exact same way one might use a photo reference.
Some jumpscare effects and item visuals make limited use of AI-assisted generation, followed by manual editing. All content is curated, integrated, and polished by the development team.
AI helped with capsule images and some textures.
I use generative AI to create capsule images (main banners, headers, and other store assets) for our Steam store page.
In the game, artificial intelligence is used only in a few aspects, specifically for generating voice acting and music. All the music featured in the game, as well as the voice acting for characters, is entirely created using AI technologies.
We would like to clarify that some of the artistic assets used in our game were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. These elements were carefully selected and refined by our team to ensure they align with the visual identity and experience we aim to deliver to players. Our goal in using AI was to complement our creative process and bring an innovative approach to the game's visuals, always under the artistic supervision of our team to maintain consistency and product quality
There is only one character created with AI as a 3D character. The music and other characters will be sourced from free assets.
AI played a key role in the development of this game, enhancing both the creative and technical aspects. From generating detailed textures to assisting in the creation of 3D models, AI helped bring the game world to life with greater efficiency and precision. Additionally, AI contributed to coding and the creation of promotional materials, ensuring a high-quality experience both in-game and on the store page.
Communication with the ghost is carried out using artificial intelligence. Generative artificial intelligence is partly used for creation of the game key-art on the Store Page.

In "Lone Howl", artificial intelligence is utilised carefully and responsibly to enhance the player's experience in various aspects of the game: Images and Banners: We have used AI beforehand to create some of the banners and loading screen images you will encounter throughout the game. This allows us to generate unique visuals that capture the dark and mystical atmosphere of the "Lone Howl" universe. It’s important to note that these images were generated prior to release and do not involve any adaptation or analysis based on player behaviour. Translations: AI is also employed to assist with the translation of the game into different languages, ensuring that the narrative and dialogues maintain their essence and fluency, regardless of the language in which the game is played. Dialogue and Voices: Some of the characters' dialogue and voices were generated or enhanced using AI. This allowed us to bring characters and creatures to life with a vocal diversity that enriches the player's immersion. It’s important to highlight that we do not use algorithms that study or analyse players. All AI use in "Lone Howl" is applied statically, with the goal of complementing the experience without compromising privacy or the authenticity of the content.
I used AI in the following way: - creating the voices of Ben and Jane - creating a base for further processing and overpainting (images in the intro scene)
This game partially incorporates the following content: AI-generated images AI-created 3D models
Some royalty-free music used in the game was sourced online and may involve the use of AI.
Various assets were created by or edited by AI tools. This includes; models, textures, sound effects, voices, UI, and narrative elements.
The character voices used in the game were generated by artificial intelligence.
Some AI generated in-game Images Included
Some of the textures in the game use AI-generated images sold on Adobe Stock.
Generative Artificial Intelligence has been partially used to produce the promo art of the game (i.e. the image used to promote the game). The in-game content has been produced from scratch by 3D artists, game designers and developers. Only some audio content (i.e. the voice of the robot) has been prerecorded by using AI generative tools.
In the game, generative artificial intelligence has been used in terms of graphics, music, and overall feel.
Some of the images on our store page were created by artificial intelligence and edits were made on the images. and some images in the game were made by artificial intelligence.

AI tools were used only for certain static illustrations and promotional images. All gameplay systems, code, and dynamic content are entirely human-created and do not use AI generation.
I use Ai to aid in a variety of topics such as 2D artwork such as UI elements as well as help with ques and dialog ideas. Music is also designed by Ai.

it's just helps me to make a better description.
AI tools were used to generate select artwork, including concept images, a few decorative assets, and a few censored fictional photographs as some Voicelines and Screams. Some of these depict intentionally exaggerated or eccentric characters that would have been impractical—or impossible—to stage with real models. All AI-generated assets were manually reviewed and edited before inclusion. No AI content is generated dynamically during gameplay.
AI was used in the BlueSky/Concepting phase of development to help ideate some designs of characters and UI to save time on our small team. Stable Diffusion using in-house created libraries and loras created from our own original art and not publicly available libraries was used in this process. These concepts are then taken and turned into functional useable game art created by hand, by real artists. Oftentimes this human created art ends up looking nothing like the original concept. No where in the game is any raw AI art used.
AI used in generation of content for Store Page
The game is using AI generated poster in the store listing.
Some promotional images for store interfaces and library assets, as well as some icons and item models in the game, are generated by AI.
As placeholder voiced narrative, this game uses a Unity Asset Store asset which uses a database of non-copyrighted human voices to generate character voices.
Some sound effects such as doors and footsteps are created by AI
AI was specifically used for the cover artwork of this game. That is the only AI used.
AI has been used in a limited way* for the following aspects: Text Localization, Speech Localization and Musical Audio. *The base was AI-generated, but the transformative creation built upon it stands as an original work. (Text was controlled by a human, the voice and musical audio were edited and reworked by a human)
Using AI in just two steps: 1) The title screen background art was made with AI. 2) Subtitles for some languages were made with AI.
