Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI was used in some of the linear story parts. AI just helped generating some casual dialogue text lines and translations in game text without any copyright element.
Tutorial character (Kim) and voiceovers were created with the help of AI and then retouched by our team to fit the game. AI tools have been used solely to assist our small indie dev team. Please be assured that the game's content represents our team's creativity and dedication.

Some parts of the soundtrack and/or minor voiceline grunts have been created or enhanced by Artificial Intelligence.
AI is used for a part of the localization, voice overs, artworks and other marketing materials.
Promotional content for the game can include AI generated content.
Used for the voices of the Gods
There are some AI generated paintings found inside the main house.
Some of the marketing materials have been prepared with the use of pre-rendered AI-generated assets.
Capsule art and one or two textures made partly with the help of generative AI.
AI-generated images are used for the backgrounds of the Story Event Phases.
Game contains recorded as well as AI generated voice lines based on licensed voice artists.
We use AI to localize the main game interface and texts
This game uses generative AI tools during its development. Specifically: AI was used to assist in the creation and artistic refinement of marketing assets, library hero images, and the game title logo. AI was used to provide reference and optimization for certain static environmental background assets within the game. All AI-generated content has been manually edited and quality-controlled to ensure it aligns with the game's oriental art style.
Some small parts of in-game assets are AI generated (like part of background music, or voice)
Because there are so many characters in the game, we used AI art (based on our own art style) to create a few characters towards the end of the game.
This game uses AI generated images, mostly for background and object illustrations.
Use of AI-generated for some backgrounds
Posters、part of UI icons、a few portraits of Npcs are generated by AI
Isolation Simulator is a one-person passion project. To be fully transparent: I recorded all the voice lines myself, then used AI voice filters to create different character voices. Some background wall art and a few music tracks/instrumentals were created or enhanced with AI tools. Everything else — gameplay systems, level design, ARG mechanics, most 2D assets, lore, writing, and core experience — was made manually by me. I used AI only where it helped me focus on what matters most to me: deep storytelling, player observation mechanics, and a complex ARG. I know some players have strong feelings about AI in games — I respect that. This is simply how I was able to finish the game as a solo developer.
Icons + Artists Paintover for 5 icons, out of 100s of artist icons
In-game patient responses are generated in real time with offline local language model. Game logo animation and part of game music samples/loops have been produced with tools utilizing generative technology.
AI was used to create some of the in-game posters.
Some game content, marketing materials, and character voices for Medieval Frontiers were created or translated with the assistance of AI tools. While we use these technologies to support our workflow, every feature and narrative beat is a result of our team’s deliberate creative decisions. The final experience is hand-guided by our vision to ensure the world feels authentic to our players.
AI tools were used in the production of the voice acting. We are a five-person team that has been working on this project for several years without the budget of a large studio. In our case, this was a practical solution that allowed us to complete the game at the level of quality we were aiming for. All creative decisions and the final shape of the game were made by our team. AI was used as a supporting production tool, not as a replacement for the creative work behind the game.
Using LLM Code Agent for indie development speed up (no "VIBE CODING", it's originally human made project in 2012-2025, author starts using LLM as smart assistant code edit tool since December 2025)
Generation of some images and textures. Additional generation of locations (grass, rocks, vegetation). Rough text processing and translations into other languages.
Used chaptgpt 4 for generation and enhancements trading cards and community assets art.
We leveraged AI-generated content to enrich our game with elements that would have been otherwise challenging to include. Specifically, we used AI for the AI character voiceover in different languages, a feature made possible thanks to this technology. In this case it made even more sense since the character is actually an AI. Otherwise, all the core art and visual elements of the game have been designed by human talents.
AI-generated images were used as marketing material.
The only use of AI was to create voiceover for the trailer.
This project did not use tools to create content from text prompts. Because "Generative Artificial Intelligence" is inconcistently defined, following it the list all Machine Learning technologies I use. Many of them are widely used and not commonly considered AI, but meet the current dictionary definition of "computer system that has some qualities of human brain that is able to produce text, images, etc.", so I list them for full transparency: - Generating crew portraits with artist-driven sliders for facial features. - Creating portrait depth maps for dynamic lighting. - Upscaling promotional images. - Denoising rendered images. - Enhancing in-game ads with actor face replacement for realism. - Spell-checking, grammar-checking and rephrasing some text.
Some of the voice-over dialogs during the introduction cut-scene are computer generated. Some of the images during the introduction cut-scene were stylized using generative AI.
Some store images and promotional materials use AI-assisted visuals. The game itself does not contain any AI-generated content, and nothing is generated while playing.
