Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
2D assets, and sound
AI was used to generate some of the graphics, which were then further edited by me (or a family member). All content generated by AI was ultimately always checked and edited before it was added to the game's resources.
Cards were created using an AI image generator.
Some of the images in the game are created with AI and use pre-generated AI illustrations
This game includes some pre-rendered visual assets (such as table backgrounds and UI elements) created with the help of AI tools. All gameplay, mechanics, and core design are original.
To make Ekoman accessible to more players in their own languages, in-game menus, cutscenes, and store page texts have been translated using artificial intelligence. Please feel free to contact us if you encounter any issues.
The translation for some languages were AI-assisted and may not be perfect. Feedback welcome!
This game was developed by a solo developer using AI-assisted tools to support parts of the creative and technical workflow, including marketing materials, store page assets, music, and portions of code. All AI-assisted outputs were reviewed, refined, and integrated by the developer. No AI systems are used to generate content during gameplay.
Some visual assets, including banners and promotional materials, were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Avatars uses AI to bring player-created characters to life, generating dynamic conversations and unique personalities based on the traits you define.
The game to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence
We use AI as a creative assistant to refine our English descriptions and ensure they are easy to read and engaging (since we are not native speakers). In addition, some of the game’s illustrations were created with the help of generative AI tools and later refined by human artists.
An AI-Copilot was used during coding, and an AI spelling and grammar checker was used for writing.
We use AI for Generated Image Capsule
AI Generated Music and SFX.
AI tools were used to assist in the translation and localization of the store page descriptions.
The background images and horses pictures are pre-rendered AI art
I used Ai for the writing and for the naration
We only used generative AI during development on a limited basis to create early drafts (e.g., environment sketches, UI mockups, and character concept art). All final assets shipped in the game, on the store page, and in marketing materials were further edited, reworked, and reviewed by humans, and they do not infringe copyright, likeness/publicity rights, or trademarks. During gameplay, the game does not connect to any AI services and does not produce live-generated content; players will not encounter dynamically AI-generated images or text.
Create a simple icon image, translation
AI was used only to assist in the creation of the background track "Drift King," present in the currently implemented level, with the intent of replacing it once our team works with a proper composer or sound designer. All remaining game content was fully developed by our indie team.
Some graphics in-game have been AI generated
I only used C# coding during game development, as I cannot consider myself an experienced programmer.
This game uses pre-generated AI only for certain 2D background images and promotional store visuals. These assets were created before release and remain fixed. The game does not include any live AI generation during gameplay.
AI Generated Music and SFX.
This game utilizes AI technology to generate some of the background and store images. These AI-generated assets were carefully selected to enhance the overall aesthetic of the game. All AI-based content was created in compliance with legal requirements to prevent copyright infringements.
During the game development process, we utilized generative AI tools (such as code assistance and image generation) to aid in creating certain art assets (e.g., visual elements like diamond images) to improve efficiency. All content was reviewed and refined by the development team to ensure quality and compliance. The game does not include any real-time AI-generated content or user-accessible AI features, and all content is provided and managed by the development team.
Game Capsule has been done with help from AI tools
Artificial intelligence was used for some images
We used generative AI for the studio's logo design and for the panels displayed in the cutscene when the new game starts.
The game to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence
AI tools were used to support early concept exploration and visual ideation during development. Artificial intelligence tools were used during development to assist with the creation and processing of audio content, such as sound effects and voice variations.
Images for Steam are designed with artificial intelligence support. In-game and store page translations were done using artificial intelligence. No artificial intelligence was used in the game.

This game uses generated pre-rendered 3D models.

I’m a solo dev (writer/coder) with no art budget or ability, so all visuals are AI-generated and then hand-edited by me. I spent hundreds of hours curating 300+ illustrations for character consistency: it's about 90% there, with occasional quirks I keep patching. No AI runs during gameplay (everything is pre-rendered), and all writing, choices, and code are human-made. If AI art isn’t for you, I totally understand, then please skip this game.
During the development of our game, we utilized generative AI to create the main background image used in the game scene.
AI is used exclusively for creating musical content.
The development process of the game used AI to generate backgrounds, characters images, and other images such as items for hidden objects, runes for match-3, and jigsaw images. Game logo was partially generated with AI. Additionally, AI was used to generate voice-overs and some part of localizations into french and german.
Only for the Steam page description.
Using a fully completed game design document created by a Software Engineer, 100% of the game's code was generated via an AI Coding Agent. Aside from the fonts and audio assets, all functional and visual components are the result of AI-Generated code.
Generated some 2D assets and localization
The vast majority of the artwork in the game was created by our team of artists, hired freelancers or purchased on market places. In some cases, AI was used to generate reference images to assist with the creative process, but all final assets were either fully redrawn or significantly refined by human artists to ensure quality and originality.
Artificial intelligence was only used as a supportive tool in creating some marketing visuals. All gameplay, content, and art assets are fully handcrafted.
Some writing tools and image-generation processes were used alongside our own artwork. We begin with concepts and exploratory art created in-house, and these tools help us produce consistent final assets when needed.
This game may include some AI-generated images or assets. These are used for concept art, store page visuals, and may also appear as placeholder or supplemental content in-game. Core gameplay, characters, writing, and mechanics are handcrafted by the developer.
Artificial intelligence was used only for generating promotional and cover images. No AI systems are used in gameplay, story, or player interactions.
The puzzle images pre-rendered AI art
use AI only for concept arts and maybe on marketing materials. no AI generated content inside the game.
As a solo developer, transparency with my players is essential to me. That's why I want to clarify that I have used artificial intelligence tools to assist in the creative process of Celestial Deus. Working alone on a project of this scope requires finding creative solutions. AI allowed me to bring my artistic vision to life where my own skills or resources were limited. Here is how it was used: Skybox: The skybox, which depicts a stylized sky filled with large clouds as if viewed from a great height, was generated by an AI to match the game's unique atmosphere. Voice Acting: To bring the characters to life, I first recorded all their voices myself. Then, I used an AI to transform my voice recordings, ensuring that each voice perfectly matches the personality and character of the deity it represents. Music: I composed the foundational music tracks myself, and then used AI to remix and enhance them. This gave them more style and complexity for a more immersive ambiance. My approach was always to use my own creations as a starting point and guide these tools, allowing me to deliver a more complete experience than I could have achieved on my own.
