Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Images on the Storefront are generated by Leonardo.ai. Nothing in the game was generated by an AI.
At the current stage the game contains AI-generated voice acting and a single AI-generated image asset. This *may* change in the finished version.
Pre-rendered media for game
The design, audio, and background music for some of the collection items in this game were created by a generative AI.
Some images and some voice-over in the game are made with generative AI
Only the key (capsule) art for the game is AI generated.
- AI voice generation tools were used to create pre-generated character voice lines for in-game dialogue. - AI translation tools were used during development to create draft localization text for languages other than Arabic and English. These draft translations are included in the demo as AI-assisted draft localizations for UI, font, and text-length testing, and to help evaluate requirements for possible future professional human localization.
Some graphical assets in game are made by pre-rendering AI
The cover photo of our game was created using artificial intelligence technology. Other than that, there is no other use of artificial intelligence in our game.
The game does not contain AI generated content. All art, music, sound effects and all other assets are crafted by human hands. The intro video on the store page contains an AI generated voice.
We used AI to create capsules for the Steam page and we used voice acting that has AI.
AI content is used to generate some promotional material such as some art work/concepts, and art for our logo.
Voice-over for NPCs.
Used for creating the game banner
Generative AI was used to create variations of character, UI and background images.
We utilized AI art generation for some marketing material. No AI art is used in-game.
We use edited images that incorporate AI-generated pictures for posters and product labels within the game.
Some capsule images were made with AI
Some of the area images are made using Midjourney.
We used image generation for concept art, some 2D assets, promo materials, and voice acting for AI characters.
Artificial intelligence was used to create the images.
Double Crossed uses generative AI tools to help proofread and suggest minor edits to written text (e.g., in-game dialogue and marketing copy). No generative AI is used to create or alter in-game visuals, audio, or gameplay content.
Our Policy for AI Use Even if, and disclose from time to time that, we use AI in some of our products, it never means that our product consists of AI-generated content, which is simply impossible but may be presumed by some people. We continue our due diligence and necessary efforts to come up with the best content. AI is a field that we keep track of and welcome curiously and excitedly. It is something not the world gives us but what we get from the world according to our requirements. However, We always consider the rights of commercial and ethical use of AI. Therefore, we subscribe to their content, pay their respective fee, and keep their receipts/licenses. In this game, we use a few asset generators like open-source make-human generations or some publicly available animations or the generators of the asset store such as the Spaceship Generator or Character Creator 2d, which we have purchased, and which have been around for many years. These assets allow us to design or randomly generate our character models according to our requirements. We are also working on the trailer of the game which might include some elements that we make by distorting some AI images.
Character portraits, in-game prerenders, key art, and scare screens are currently rendered with Midjourney AI. Some of this content may be replaced with human-drawn art if the budget can be found between now and the final release planned for 7/14/24.
AI-assisted tools were used for background adjustments in the store page images.
This game uses AI-generated content during its development. Some of the 2D artwork and promotional images were created with the assistance of AI tools. All such content is pre-generated, curated by the developer, and remains static within the final product. The game does not feature real-time AI content generation during gameplay.
Note on voice output: This game uses AI-generated voices for voice output. The dialogues and texts were written by the developers and then set to music using modern text-to-speech systems. The aim is to provide consistent audio quality and make the content accessible to players with different language preferences. Please note that these are not professional voice recordings, but synthetically generated voices.
The game's own logo is an artificial intelligence generated logo. It is used on the store page and library images.
Nearly all content in the game including gameplay, environments, and story was handcrafted. Some cosmetic elements, such as nose-art decals, icons, were AI generated or AI-assisted, then manually refined to match the game's visual style and tone.
We use AI only to create some images and videos inside the game and some images and videos on the store. All the source code is made by hand, no IA was used for the creation of this game
Some textures in Candy Bandits were initially generated using AI tools and then manually edited and adjusted by our artists to meet our design and quality standards. No generative AI is used during gameplay or player interaction.
Used for creating the game banner
The game's intro video and ingame backgrounds were first created with 3D renders and then styled using Stable Diffusion. However, no images were created from scratch with ai. The resulting visuals were then cleaned up and refined using PixageFX and a pixel art editor. Additionally, a large portion of the character voiceovers were done using 'murf.ai' except 'Mike Jack'.
Solo dev and 3D artist here. Most of the poster decorations hung on the walls of the workshop are AI generated. Also a small amount of boxes have AI generated parts of the textures later composed together. I would say that in the full game about 2%-3% of the textures are AI generated.
Some visual concept references in this game were created using AI tools during the early design phase. All final game assets were manually created, customized, and refined by our development team. No AI-generated content is used directly in the final product.
AI generated images for ability screen and main menu and some item icons like fish, bear coat, potions etc.
The game is developed solo, and during Early Access I’ve occasionally used AI-generated placeholders — some of which I actually quite like. These are temporary and will likely be replaced over time.
We utilize generative AI tools during the development process to enhance the overall quality and depth of the game's world. Specifically: Character Models: The mesh for the game’s final boss was created using AI-assisted generation tools, then manually refined to ensure high-quality technical standards. Localization: AI tools are used to assist in translating game text into multiple languages, which are then manually reviewed and polished for accuracy. Marketing Materials: Some promotional assets and store page visuals may include elements enhanced by AI to better represent the game's tactical vision.
We received support from artificial intelligence in developing some visuals in the game.
This game features AI-generated content to enhance the experience. AI is used to assist in creating in-game images, text, music, and sound effects, helping to shape the atmospheric world. Every AI-generated asset is carefully curated and refined to fit the game's style, ensuring a high-quality and cohesive experience.
We use AI-assisted gendered voices using a voice sampler, not cloning voices of real people. We rely on Eleven Labs and Replica Studios.
Some World War 2 propaganda posters were made with AI then edited with Photoshop.
Some 2D artworks and promotional images in our game are created using generative artificial intelligence.
We use DALL E 2 in our project to generate item icons. DALL E 2 is not subject to copyright.
Generative Ai used for artworks and UI Elements
We utilized artificial intelligence for character voiceovers and 3D modeling.
some paintings, and some audio
All dialogs texts, code, songs and pixelart assets in game were CREATED BY US MANUALLY. AI is used to help on illustration's creation. The illustrations on dialogs and title screen even though we make our tweaks, changes, edit and compile multiple results to get our desired result.
Used for creating the game banner
AI has been used in image generation for the portraits of the characters. These images are then post-processed through a quantizer, which lowers the resolution and quantizes the image into only having the colors from my color palette.
