Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I design all core algorithms myself, and AI is used only to help write code snippets and to produce some pre-rendered promotional assets such as images. All outputs are reviewed and manually integrated into the project. AI is not used to generate any in-game content or real-time code during gameplay.
In the game, players can press the "G" key to open the AI communication panel, and interact with the two AIs—Doubao and DeepSeek—by typing text. Players can choose to chat with either Doubao or DeepSeek, and both AIs will respond based on the player's input.
Meanwhile, the AIs' decisions will influence the progression of the in-game storyline and their own specific behaviors. For instance, the AIs may determine the direction of storyline branches based on the content of the player's conversation, or change their movement paths in the game world and perform different actions. This creates a richer and more personalized gaming experience for players.
AI tools were used only to generate a few static images, such as the store cover art and certain decorative paintings displayed within the game. All in-game environments, gameplay, and code were created and reviewed by me using Unreal engine
Halfway uses AI to generate every aspect of the player’s experience — from courtroom cases and character dialogue to evidence details and public reactions. The AI dynamically creates unique stories, adapting its tone and logic to each player’s decisions during interrogation and judgment. This means that every trial, conversation, and verdict is procedurally generated in real time.
Some of the music, sound effects, and visuals in this game have been generated using AI technologies, bringing a unique and creative twist to the game's overall experience.
Very limited use of AI generated content:
The city skyline image, and dialogue from text-to-speech are the only items/content where an AI tool was used. *The relevant AI platforms' subscription tier clarified full ownership of content and uniqueness of rendered content. Also, allowance of both commercial and non-commercial legal use is permissible with regard to both platforms used.
To make Ekoman accessible to more players in their own languages, in-game menus, cutscenes, and store page texts have been translated using artificial intelligence. Please feel free to contact us if you encounter any issues.
As an independent developer, I use generative AI in a limited capacity solely for producing certain human-like voice clips and displaying animated visuals within the game. AI is not used to create game text, characters, core content, or dynamic programming during gameplay. All other game assets are created manually by me and fully comply with copyright and safety requirements.
"Red Chair uses AI-assisted tools (such as ChatGPT and Midjourney) during development.
AI was used to help generate story materials, detective case files, and narrative texts, as well as some promotional artworks and store capsules.
All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and finalized by our writing and art team before being included in the game.
No gameplay logic, detective mechanics, or interactive features were generated by AI."
Throughout the development of our game, we may leverage AI-based tools to assist our small two-person team in content creation, but please rest assured that what you see in the game primarily reflects the creativity and hard work of our team; all core gameplay mechanics, level design, story, and programming were created entirely by our developers. Specifically, AI tools were utilized to generate atmospheric background music, eerie sound effects, and ambient noises for the Sound Design and Music, and were also used for minor visual elements such as unique textures, pictures, and posters used in some of our environments.
Speak Boy!
Legal Beagll: Justice is Argued uses novel dialogue mechanics to bring your arguments into the courtroom. Characters respond with their own logic and reasoning. Creating dynamic and realistic character interactions.
Some visual assets in this game were created with the help of AI tools (e.g., OpenAI’s DALL·E, MidJourney, ElevenLabs). The developers reviewed every AI-assisted asset and selectively refined them to ensure they fit the game’s artistic direction and story. All tools were used within their terms of service, and the developers retain the necessary commercial rights. No real-time AI generation is used in gameplay.
Some 2D art in Scalpers’ Spoils began as AI-assisted concepts and were then hand-edited and finalized by our artist. No AI runs during gameplay, and players do not submit prompts or generate content in-game.
This game has integrated Artificial Intelligence tools to optimize its development and enhance the player experience. AI was used in several stages:
Visual and artistic design: generation of concepts, environments, and visual elements to inspire and define the game’s aesthetic.
Narrative and atmosphere: support in creating dialogues, texts, and events while maintaining consistency in the story.
Gameplay testing and balancing: simulations and analysis to adjust difficulty, enemy behaviors, and game pacing.
The use of AI did not replace creative work but served as a support tool to streamline processes and enhance the final quality of the project.
Some sound effects were generated using ElevenLabs AI tools during development. No AI is used during gameplay.
I definitely would replace them with custom sound design in future updates if my finances allow it.
We used a few pre-rendered images as internal references for proportions and framing. However, all-ingame visuals are original pixel art creations with our palettes, handcrafted by our team to ensure consistency and authenticity.
This game uses AI-generated music and sound effects. These are created using licensed tools and reviewed by the development team for quality and originality. No external AI services are connected during gameplay.
Kayotica includes a unique AI-driven detective system. During certain scenes, players talk to the AI who takes a role of a characters. The AI is limited to the story world and cannot go outside the game’s narrative. Player choices in these moments influence relationships and the upcoming story choices.
Some images in the game are AI-generated but are consistent with our characters and our color chart.
