Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
All visual art, gameplay assets, music and written narrative were created by humans. No AI is used to generate content during gameplay. The game uses AI-generated voice acting for cinematic and in-game character dialogue.

No Live-Generated AI content is used.
Some of the store images for this game, such as background graphics and environmental artwork, have been partially created using AI-generated content. All final assets have been reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure they match the intended artistic direction of the game. The in-game content itself does not use AI-generated elements.
This game uses generated AI for the following purposes
- To generate some of the game's program code
- To format text in the store to make it easier to read
- To translate text into languages other than Japanese
- However, the text rarely appears in the game
- No content or code is generated live during gameplay
Our game does not use AI to influence gameplay, player behavior, difficulty, or decision-making.
The only temporary use of AI in the project is for generating placeholder narrator voice-over lines during development. All narration content is written by our team, and the AI is used solely as a text-to-speech tool for prototyping and demo purposes. These AI-generated voice-overs are planned to be fully replaced with recorded performances by a human voice actor before release.
No other AI systems are used in the project.
Murder In Complex utilizes AI to create dynamic NPC interactions, allowing players to engage in realistic conversations with in-game characters. The AI-driven dialogue system ensures each investigation is unique, with suspects responding naturally based on their roles and the player's inquiries. This enhances immersion and replayability, making every case feel fresh and unpredictable.
2D character art and title screen was generated and enhanced from pre-production reference sketches drawn by the developer.
Some music in the game was generated utilizing Suno, and edited to fit the thematic elements of the game.
This single - handedly developed game features AI - generated sounds from suno.ai, which add a unique auditory experience.
AI played a key role in the initial art concept phase by assisting with sketch design. I then translated these AI - inspired sketches into the final hand - drawn artworks.
To provide multilingual support, AI translation technology was employed to ensure a seamless localized experience.
NO generative AI will be in the FINAL game.
For the current DEMO only, AI (Adobe Firefly) was used to create some art for the demo, but it is being replaced by hand-made art before the full game launch.
The use of AI in Battleline is minimal, including ChatGPT for weapon specifications and AI-assisted edits for game cover designs, all reviewed and refined for accuracy and originality.
AI-generated content disclosure The developer's description of how their game uses AI-generated content is as follows: Due to cost constraints, avoidance of sensitive information, etc., we used AI-assisted generation of pre-rendered footage in a very small number of videos: news images, sea freighters, live footage, and cinematics. The content with AI-generated appearances does not exceed 1% of the total amount of material (about 3-4 minutes), so please bear with us!
SUBDERMAL does not use generative AI during gameplay or while the game is running.
No images, audio, text, dialogue, or gameplay content is generated dynamically via AI during play. All assets—including visuals, audio, writing, voice acting, and gameplay systems—are fully authored, fixed, and shipped as part of the final build.
What AI Is Not Used For
• No real-time AI text generation
• No real-time AI image or video generation
• No real-time AI voice synthesis
• No adaptive AI narrative systems
• No AI-based player interaction or chat
What AI Was Used During Development
Placeholder assets or ideas were assisted during development (concept art drafts, placeholder imagery, writing refinement), but all final in-game content is original, human-authored, and fully static except a small minority of AI-generated textures that appear on certain objects.
This development-phase AI usage does not affect gameplay and does not generate new content for players.
The game also contains textures which were upscaled using AI, but were originally human-authored.
Guardrails
Because the game does not include any generative systems during runtime, no special guardrails are required. Players cannot trigger or create AI-generated output of any kind.
We did try gen-IA to create early place holders of the characters (environments and meals are 100% human made). We realized that it sucks and unsurprizingly it can't compare to what human artists can do. What you currently see in the game has already been cleaned up, but in order to make sure there is no trace of gen-IA left, we are in the process of remaking all the characters from scratch.
We have integrated various AI tools to enhance different aspects of the experience:
ChatGPT has been utilized to make in-game bots smarter, improving their responsiveness and creating more engaging AI interactions for players.
Perplexity AI assisted us with certain coding tasks, helping us optimize and refine complex systems efficiently.
Rosebud AI was used to generate high-quality skyboxes, enhancing the visual depth and atmosphere of our environments, ensuring an immersive experience.
By leveraging these AI-driven solutions, we've streamlined development while maintaining high-quality visuals, smarter AI, and optimized performance.
We are only 2 person excited to make the game we desire as soon as possible. Without AI for voice overs it becomes really hard for us to continue on our path. That is why this game utilizes AI-generated voice acting created with Replica Studios.
All character images except for the hero classes were created in Daz Studio, and icons were made in Photoshop using Creative Commons assets. Most older backgrounds were later touched up with an AI tool. The story, dialogues, quests, gameplay and balancing were written and crafted by the developer over years of work.
This game includes an experiment about the perception of human-made and AI art in a multimedia context. To that purpose some of the graphic, music and text assets of the game are generated with the help of AI, while others are human-made. The player is asked at the end of the game to guess which parts were made by AI and which were not.
Use of AI for color enhancement, lighting, and character posing, combined with Adobe suite programs for the final touch.
