We have used a few pieces of generated AI art during development and in marketing materials. These will most likely be replaced by our own art and mainly used as placeholder. However, some AI art pieces might end up in the final game. Further, we have used AI to help us with generating and translating text that is used in the game. This is always curated by us to make sure it meets our quality standards.

In Nora Wanna Rise, we have embraced an innovative approach to the creation of our menu visuals by leveraging generative artificial intelligence to design unique and captivating images. Utilizing DALL-E, a cutting-edge AI technology, we generated original illustrations that enhance the visual experience of the game without directly impacting gameplay. This targeted use of generative AI allowed us to create visually distinct and memorable menus, adding a layer of originality and innovation to Nora Wanna Rise. This aspect of the game's design highlights our commitment to exploring new technologies to enhance the overall aesthetics and atmosphere, while staying true to an immersive and engaging gameplay experience. We would like to clarify that the use of AI in Nora Wanna Rise is limited to the creation of menu images. This approach allows us to present players with innovative and aesthetically pleasing visuals, thereby contributing to an improved user experience from the very first screen.

I only got javascript code support. I got help with general game performance and code optimization. In no way was the whole or a large part of the game made by artificial intelligence. I just got help at some points where I got stuck and used it to speed up my work. All games have been tested many times by real players. We definitely do not publish games without testing them and seeing their errors.

RoadHouse Manager was mostly made by a single human on a quest to make the ultimate roguelite set in a roadhouse! Quitting his job at Activision Blizzard and undertaking this quest took years of 60 hour work weeks equaling many 1000s of hours of labour, lots of brain-effort, tons of money, roadhouse research, and many rare Earth resources; eventually going way over budget, forging this entertainment out of raw willpower melded with passion-sauce. Eventually to complete his universe-given quest, this dev delved into the dark side of forbidden technologies of 2026, including devil-spawned AI-tooling, the vile monster of which was used, to make some ear-stuff and eye-stuff in lieu of hiring other humans that could not be afforded at this time, to fill in content gaps with the best possible tools available at the time of production. Go-go human race, hurray!

# AI Usage in Our Game In our game, we have utilized generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance certain aspects of the visual experience. Specifically, we have employed AI-powered tools to assist in the creation of some background images and textures. Key points about our AI usage: 1. **Pre-rendered Content**: The AI-generated elements are pre-rendered during the development process. This means that the images you see in the game are not being created in real-time as you play. 2. **Limited Scope**: AI has been used primarily for non-essential background elements and textures. All main characters, story-critical environments, and core gameplay elements are hand-crafted by our artists. 3. **Human Oversight**: While AI tools have been used to generate initial ideas or base images, our art team carefully reviews, edits, and refines all AI-assisted content to ensure it meets our quality standards and fits seamlessly into the game's aesthetic. 4. **No Live Generation**: Our game does not use AI to generate any content during gameplay. All AI-assisted elements are fixed and do not change dynamically. 5. **Copyright Compliance**: We have taken great care to ensure that all AI-generated content is original and does not infringe on existing copyrights. Our use of AI tools is in compliance with their terms of service and licensing agreements. We believe that the thoughtful use of AI in our development process has allowed us to create richer, more detailed environments for players to explore, while maintaining the artistic integrity and vision of our game. As always, we welcome player feedback and are committed to providing a high-quality gaming experience.
The game's main menu background image was created using Midjourney AI, and no other AI-generated content was utilized.
