Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

I have used AI art generation for some of the game's assets.
Some sprites in game were created with the use of AI.
AI tools were used in the production process of some graphical assets. In these cases AI is mainly used as a middleman to add detail between first drafts and final product. AI was used to assist with minor code segments and some dialogue lines.
Angel Guardian was developed with the help of AI tools across our creative pipeline — including story development, dialogue, enemy balancing, difficulty tuning, concept art exploration, animation prototyping, music iteration, and voice experimentation. AI acted as a creative accelerator, allowing us to rapidly test ideas, refine systems, and expand the scope of our world. All content was directed, curated, and finalized by our human development team.
AI is used to generate text for some specific NPCs with non-interactive dialogue.

Collapsed State is a project created by the RevoltGPT to showcase the power of our proprietary game development platform! This project was created almost entirely using our proprietary AI game engine editor, which you can use yourself at https://revoltgpt.dev! Thank you so much to our community for coming together to turn this project into a reality, we truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Artificial intelligence was used both for multilingual translation and for creating the DLC illustrations.
Some images in the game are generated by AI.
Generative AI was used to generate a total of 3 silly meme songs/sounds in the game, the most prominent being the title screen music. All other level soundtracks/sfx were otherwise created by a human (shoutout to my lifelong DJ TheMedisin). Generative AI was used to create part of our steam page logos.
I Had A Plan! uses human-made sprites and assets, but uses AI to transform voices for most (non narrator/GM) characters. These were still recorded by the developer, but then transformed to sound like other people using AI. AI was also used to lip sync those voices.
The game contains AI generated backgrounds that have been polished.
AI was used to generate some of the paintings seen on the walls in-game, as well as some community profile items (such as Steam badges).
Game art may contain some generative AI aspects.
We are using AI for testing content and ideas, our future focus is to make all of the content traditionally by hand to bring a good work like early stages of development in the game. AI usage is mainly used for concept content and support during the most complicated parts from the development of the game, the entirety of Ghoul Fright core is hand made

AI has been used to generate some icons and backgrounds.
We have sections that use AI: 1. On the character selection page of the game, the character's voiceover is created by AI 2. On the character selection page of the game, the first version of the character's sketch is created by AI. Illustrations in the game's "event" system are created by AI.
In the localization of multi-language translation of the game, the developer uses translation software to translate the languages of different countries. The translation software describes the use of neural networks for translation, which I think may be related to AI translation; Since the developer does not understand the language of other countries, the developer does not have the funds to hire a professional translator, so the multi-language support is handled by translation software. Please forgive me if this automated translation causes any language offense, and please let me know. I will correct it in time. Sometimes you'll see me write words in English in parentheses, so that the translation software can correctly identify what I'm trying to say; In addition, the developers did not use AI to generate images, audio and other content;
The game includes some temporary AI-generated content (such as images, sounds, or graphical elements) used solely to speed up the development process. All of these assets are provisional and will be progressively replaced with original materials as the project advances.
AI used for current page artwork ONLY. None is used in game.
Voice messages in the game were created using a neural network
Text-to-speech software is used to synthesize our in-game and in-cinematic robotic announcer. RIFTSTORM’s creative direction and all content included in the game are produced, reviewed, and implemented by our team.

As a solo dev, I use Midjourney to fill in some gaps including upgrade and achievement icons.

Please note that NightCafe AI Art Generator was used to create the key art image in the game. NightCafe allows people to use it for commercial purposes and does its best to ensure that non-copyrighted images are used for generating art via their data set. The commercial license we use for this technology is granted by NightCafe's Site License. We did not use nor relied on any copyrighted material owned by third parties in the creation of the image. https://creator.nightcafe.studio/
As a solo developer, I use AI to brainstorm drafts for some of the 2D assets, which I then edit by hand. These will be replaced with hand-drawn assets by release.
To create a unique art style, I employed various technical methods during development, including the use of AI-generated tools to assist in producing some of the materials. These tools significantly streamlined my workflow as a solo developer, allowing me to focus more on core gameplay and detailed refinement. This approach ultimately delivers a richer and more immersive post-apocalyptic world for players. All content has been carefully curated, refined, and integrated to ensure it aligns with the game’s overall quality and artistic vision, while also complying with applicable copyright regulations.
This game is the handcrafted work of a solo indie developer and artist. During the development process, generative tools were used as supportive instruments within the creative workflow for specific assets. The final game experience fully reflects the developer’s original creative vision and craftsmanship.
The background of the capsule image on the store page was drawn by an artist, but then stylized using AI.
