Public Steam disclosure research 25,392 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Improving marketing and promo materials
There is one soundtrack option for our own made (instrumental) songs and there are optional music styles you can unlock, these are all made using ai (including singing with funny mythic skijumping songs). Some 3d environment parts were made using ai. The portraits of the sponsors and trainers were made with ai. We do not have or use any AI Live / Online features, we only used it to help us to produce content parts that we control and improve before adding it to our game.
Some of the marketing billboard textures have been created with AI. Image and Logo enhancements with AI tools in Photoshop
Some images as well as game musics have been generated by an IA
Artificial Intelligence was used to create the content of the game page in the store, and specifically to create images and logos of the library

The promotional images and UI art assets of this game are generated using AI !
Many 3D Models generated from Meshy.Ai Pro Music is generated with Udio Pro Most textures, text and images are generated with ChatGPT Plus Some voices are generated with Veed.io or LTX.studio
I've only used generative AI to create a few decorative paintings that appear in the game environment. No character models, UI elements, or gameplay-related assets were generated with AI. I'm a solo developer without an art background, and I used AI just to fill in some gaps during development. In the future, I plan to work with professional artists to replace or enhance these assets.
AI generates maps and illustrations, in the future I would prefer to hire real artists

AI was used to assist with fixing code errors and to create placeholder images during development.
Generative AI played a significant role in early environment creation, allowing rapid visual exploration and iteration during development. These AI-assisted environments were then manually edited, refined, and authored into their final form. All shipped content is static and handcrafted, and the game does not use generative AI during gameplay.
some textures are created by AI image creators
AI used for translations (game and store pages).
Artificial intelligence was used to create marketing materials.
Music and most of the monster models were generated using AI.
Use of AI in This Game: This game uses AI-generated content to a limited extent. Some in-game images were created using AI tools, primarily due to budget constraints as we are an independent team without full-time graphic designers. Additionally, AI was used to assist in writing certain parts of the code to speed up development.
Some of the promotional and storefront images were created with AI tools and then refined by hand. All of the in-game assets were designed by a 3D artist.
The 3D cat models, cat and achievement graphics, and background music used in our game were generated using AI and subsequently modified by us. Additionally, AI support was utilized in the creation of some of the text within the game and achievements.

- 1 of the 8 optional title themes is alleged to have used AI - even though the band insists otherwise, offered up the track a year before this project existed, and refused any payment for doing so. You can interrogate them on the matter here: https://www.bandlab.com/track/390bf936d0be49dda14dd68c125d500f_2a98d8102c85406ab4e8fdfbfe0cbda5 Had I used AI myself, I like to think I'd take the opportunity to produce something more relevant than muttering "there are people who will never change" on a loop. I bought the rights to the other 7 themes in 2016, so it's unthinkable they used AI. - I invested tens of thousands of dollars in professional assets from the Unity Asset Store - most of which again pre-date AI, or otherwise give assurances that it was not used. - The "Infinite Lives" logo dates back to the iOS release of 2017, where using AI would have put a terrible strain on the space-time continuum. - AI helped to depict the zombie fist in more of a comic book style and then upscale it to a higher resolution. The intention was to create an "other-worldly" art style that is deliberately distinct from the developer's own 2D or 3D. There was supposed to be a new cover every month like a real comic series. - AI helped to construct a legal argument for the release of a customizable superhero sim, citing precedents and loopholes that the developer was not familiar with. - My accountant may have used a calculator to calculate how much money we lost by releasing 2 games for the price of 1.
Some visual assets used in the game and on this Steam page were created with the assistance of AI-generated imagery. These elements have been significantly modified and manually edited to align with the game's overall art direction and art style.
Some visual assets (such as the logo and a few textures), as well as the store page summary, were created using generative AI tools. No generative AI is used in real-time gameplay.
The background images and dinosaurs pictures are pre-rendered AI art
This game includes limited content generated using artificial intelligence. Only certain image assets (such as logos and interface elements) and some text translations were created with AI tools. The entire game design, structure, and all 3D models were fully created by human. No AI-generated content includes real people or synthetic voices. All AI-generated elements have been reviewed and integrated in an ethical and transparent manner.
AI-assisted tools were used to upscale and enhance some in-game textures, to help add visual detail to the original artwork. All final assets were artist-reviewed and then integrated by the development team
In-game background art.
Use of AI for the creation of certain 3D models, as well as images used in the UI and marketing.
The Steam Capsule Art is AI generated
The only use of AI was to create the opening cutscene of the game to support the needs of the developer team.
All map visuals were initially created using AI tools for concept generation. These were then heavily edited and stylized manually to match the game's final silhouette-based design. No real-time AI is used during gameplay.
Some of the game's and store's visual content was initially created using AI, with significant rework and editing by myself. This content is intended to be replaced in future versions once there's a budget for a professional illustrator.
Most of the visual assets in Sparkfront: Online were created with the help of AI-assisted tools and later refined manually to fit the game’s unique art style. In addition, translations for supported languages (excluding English and Turkish) were generated using AI and reviewed for clarity. Our goal was to speed up production without compromising quality or creativity.
The logo is AI generated
We used generative AI during development to draft some artwork. The game does not generate content at runtime and players cannot create AI content. All assets are cleared for copyright and policy-compliant commercial use.
The background images and dogs pictures are pre-rendered AI art
The store page texts and some promotional visuals for this game were created with the help of AI tools.
The musics are AI generated :(
Some visual assets, such as icons and illustrations, were generated or enhanced using AI tools, and were further refined and integrated by the developer.
This game uses AI to generate the images
This game was made by a solo developer. Some art and music were aided by AI-tools, but all gameplay systems, design and code were authored, reviewed and maintained by the developer. Thanks for your support
We use AI-assisted image editing exclusively for visual presentation on our store page. All gameplay content remains handcrafted and original.
This game uses a few UI icons and visual elements that were created using OpenAI's ChatGPT Pro image generation tool. These assets were generated with a paid license that allows commercial use. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
