Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Coding assistance
Images for the alpha game are AI generated, all other images are human made.
We only used AI in the images for the story intros in the game's opening.
AI is used to generate reference elements for the visual novel elements of the game (character portraits), which serve as material for the final character creation by real artists.
AI is used to generate certain soundtracks, cosmetic and personalization elements, including car liveries, frames, avatars, and decals, allowing players to enjoy a wider variety of designs. AI-assisted translations help localize in-game content for different languages, ensuring smoother communication for a global player base. Additionally, some UI elements are optimized using AI to improve usability and presentation.
This game makes usage of generative AI in various forms. - Image generators for marketing/store page materials and loading screens in game. - Sound generators and text to speech models for robotic announcer voice and some of the SFX. - 3D model generation for a limited subset of assets.
We've harnessed the power of Generative AI technology to create several of our game's unique theme background artworks, enhancing your gaming experience with visually stunning designs.
In this game, we use AI technology to provide the following features: 1. In-game background music: The in-game background music is generated offline by AI, ensuring the quality and consistency of the game atmosphere. 2. Cross-language translation: During the game, AI translates mails received by players into the language of their environment, enhancing communication for global players. 3. Automatic replies: AI provides automatic replies to part of player mails. All AI services are included in the main price of the game, so players do not need to pay any additional fees. Through these AI features, we aim to enhance the player experience while ensuring content quality and compliance.
Modified images generated by the generation AI are used in some of the textures of the background 3D objects. (e.g., spider thread ball)
In Tedram we use AI to create some Capsule images for library in Steam
Only to main art
Some of the character concept art or background filler images in the store visuals for the game were generated with AI assistance and then further processed.
The current active demo includes a small amount of generated AI art as temporary placeholders during development. These assets are being removed or replaced with hand crafted art and will not be present in the final version of the game.
Used AI to create loading screen images. The loading screen images are AI generated.
We used AI generated contents just for steam capsule images.
The vocalisation of the zombie-looking The Soul at the end of the game is done by artificial intelligence.
Snatched uses large language models (LLMs) to generate dialog trees for in-game characters.
Part of the musical score was created using Suno AI.
Some images in the game are generated using AI, and AI is also used as the game host for text descriptions.
AI tools were used to assist with dialogue writing and software development. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated by developers before inclusion in the final game.
Some of the Paintings in the buildings were A.I. Generated.
We are utilising ElevenLabs' text-to-speech tool to generate voice-over elements within Metro Rivals. All scripts and content are written by Dovetail Games staff, and the voices you hear in-game, which have used ElevenLabs' software, have been licensed by voice actors.

We use artificial intelligence to produce the game's store images
Artwork and textures use generative AI
We use AI as a tool for initial concepts and drafts in some areas. All final content for the game, store page, and community is carefully curated and polished by our team.
For icons, sprites and images.
Using IA for some imagens only, not all things, using bing IA
We utilize AI technology to enhance development efficiency and provide a broader experience for our players. Our use of AI is categorized as follows: Art & Visuals: AI tools are used strictly for initial concept generation and as reference material. No AI-generated visual assets are used "as-is" in the final game. Every image is manually refined, repainted, and finalized by our artists to ensure a unique and high-quality aesthetic. Translation & Localization: To provide immediate accessibility to a global audience, the initial game text and localization have been generated using AI. While this allows us to support multiple languages from day one, we recognize that it may lack perfect nuance. Following the release, we plan to actively refine and improve these translations through community feedback and collaborative proofreading. Sound & Coding: We utilize AI-assisted tools to optimize backend code performance and assist in sound engineering, allowing us to focus on core gameplay stability and mechanics. In all areas, we are committed to transparency and will continue to update and polish the game's content based on player input and professional review.
AI tools were used to generate translations for in-game text and store page content.
We use AI to localize the game into various languages (translation of texts) and generate voiceovers for some game events.
Some art is made with AI.
Placeholder art for a menu background and during tutorial introduction
There some images generated by AI, prompted by the creative lead with the aim to showcase the concept he imagined. They are mainly placeholders for future artworks.
AI is used to assist in generation of textures for use within the game environment and as the basis for some of the character art, as well as used in assisting in creation of the game soundtrack.
AI-generated artwork is used in just one achievement icon and to enhance the store page description images.
Music is AI Generated (For now)
I use AI-enhanced programming for game scripts and shaders. I do not use AI generation for audio or visual assets. I do use 3rd party assets that may themselves contain other AI generated assets.
AI was only used for pre-rendered sci-fi image generation. The game does not use AI.
Some textures and audio have been generated by AI.
A small number of creature type icon resources in the game are assisted by AI
For artworks, that haven't been put yet.
This game uses AI-generated assets during Early Access only. We used generative AI tools to create placeholder content such as textures, music, sound effects, and artwork, in order to accelerate development and testing during Early Access. None of this content is generated at runtime — it is all pre-generated and static. For the full release, we are fully committed to replacing all AI-generated assets with original, human-created content. Transparency is important to us, and we’re actively working toward removing AI placeholders before the final version.
AI was only used to create the in-game table images and the background of the banner on our store page.
I used AI as a tool to generate rough graphical assets, which I could then use GIMP/Photoshop to edit as needed for use in the game.
Our studio logo was generated by AI.
The menu song was made by generative AI.
i generate text, pictures and speach with AI
We are using ElevenLabs for some of our Voice-over production for Train Sim World® 5. All scripts and content are ours, but the voiceover itself has an AI element.
Some images on the store page and within the game include AI-generated and modified images.
