Music generate AI for Game title BGM.
Cover and banners in the store page.
A few images have been made with AI for marketing / store images as we plan to have our artist finalize the final images that we will then upload before Early Access is over.
The game does not contain any AI-generated content in real-time, but it does feature music produced using AI. The game's music was created through suno.ai, where I am a paying member. The website assures that paying members have the right to use the generated music for commercial purposes. In terms of images, the game uses a picture of a dog in a suit that is AI-generated. For the shop interface, all images related to appearances are also AI-generated. The AI images were created on https://www.artbreeder.com, and I am a paid member of that website.
During the early development of Astro Felix, limited AI generated visuals were used specifically for select Steam artwork and a few temporary in-game placeholders. These assets were used solely to support of prototyping and vision shaping. Our goal is to replace all placeholder material with original art as development progresses.
The BGM used in the game is generated using AI.
We use AI to assist in making static images for story telling, god images, and the voices you hear in game.
the background image of main page is rendered by AI.
Conversion from Japanese to foreign words and generation of terms suitable for games Generating concept images Generating icon images
Most of the artwork was generated by Dall-E 3 and the voice over is generated by elevenlabs.io
Used AI to generate the title screen and logo.
The game is entirely AI-free for both English-speaking and French-speaking players. Other languages are translated by AI.
There is an NPC in the very ending of this game, She will give the players some paintings of mountains/rivers/ships as gifts when player has reached 100% of game progress, that paintings are generated by AI. Game's Title, Library Capsule, Library Hero, Store Capsule Main, Store Broadcast of the store page are all pre-generated AIGC.
The trees in the Germany Stage (shown in the first trailer) were generated with retro-diffusion. I intend to replace them with hand-drawn trees in the final game. There's also the "modern art" enemy that has ai-generated images displayed inside a frame. Besides that everything is hand made.
Some art assets are generated by artificial intelligence.
Some item ICONS, card ICONS and characters were designed with AI-assisted. The scenes were designed with AI-assisted.
The game features narrative scenes where speech texts appear in front of an image. The background images during the narrative scenes were created by artificial intelligence. Some songs on the soundtrack were also done by A.I. As a solo developer, this feature was essential for the project's realization.
Race announcer voice is AI generated and will be replaced by a voice actor during Early Access.
The visualisation of the characters for dialog portraits is accomplished with the help of AI generated imaging.
Character Portrats
Some of the backgrounds in a few levels are based on images created with AI, as well as a few props in the levels. They were only used as a basis to start from and have been heavily edited manually afterwards to make them fit with the rest of the game's pixel art artstyle.
This game involves localization works (Russian, Korean) generated from GPT.
AI image was use as the forest background in all graphic asset images.
GlitchSPANKR was handcrafted. We used AI audio sparingly and purposefully: We remixed our own original tracks into ambient variations (e.g. a French-style version of “Friend”). A handful of songs had lyrics we wrote and used AI to help generate their music, which we refined and often re-recorded ourselves. One minor joke character uses an AI voice by design.
This game currently features AI-generated voiceovers to bring its characters and story to life. As a solo developer working on my first project, this was the most feasible option during development. A post-release roadmap will be published, where I plan to transition to fully voiced lines by real voice actors as soon as resources allow.
I will use AI to create pre rendered images to enhance the game's image quality.
Some of the original paintings and BGM in the game are generated by AI; Some of the original paintings were generated by MJ and manually revised; All music is generated, filtered, and tuned by Suno AI;
All background images are AI generated.
Some graphical assets in game are made by pre-rendering AI
AI is used for parts of the English localization and for localization into other languages.
The game will provide an opportunity to try yourself in a story led by a non-human. The AI explained exactly how it would act and interact with the player if they had a certain personality. And we recreated it in a game. All dialogue with the player is written by AI.
Double Crossed uses generative AI tools to help proofread and suggest minor edits to written text (e.g., in-game dialogue and marketing copy). No generative AI is used to create or alter in-game visuals, audio, or gameplay content.
Character portraits, in-game prerenders, key art, and scare screens are currently rendered with Midjourney AI. Some of this content may be replaced with human-drawn art if the budget can be found between now and the final release planned for 7/14/24.
AI-assisted tools were used for background adjustments in the store page images.
Some of the images in the game are generated by AI
The character illustrations, icons, weapon illustrations, and other UI materials displayed in the game are generated in advance by AI and are used in the game after being manually edited.
Some backgrounds and store assets have been generated combining artwork and pictures created by the AI
We used generative AI tools to create code, concept art, pixel art sprites, background environments, and store page graphics. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by our team. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
The game's intro video and ingame backgrounds were first created with 3D renders and then styled using Stable Diffusion. However, no images were created from scratch with ai. The resulting visuals were then cleaned up and refined using PixageFX and a pixel art editor. Additionally, a large portion of the character voiceovers were done using 'murf.ai' except 'Mike Jack'.
Some in-game text was initially generated using AI translation tools and later manually reviewed and edited. Additionally, a portion of the plugin code was developed using AI-assisted coding tools. A small number of background music tracks are AI-generated royalty-free assets provided by S_Sleep and are used with permission. No live AI content generation occurs during gameplay.
Kamilia includes less than 1% of AI-assisted content, all of which is reworked by real designers with a focus on human creativity.
We use AI to generate game logo concept art.
AI is used for some dialogues and translations. AI auto-coloring is used for some background objects.
Some of the pieces of art and music are partly AI generated.
All dialogs texts, code, songs and pixelart assets in game were CREATED BY US MANUALLY. AI is used to help on illustration's creation. The illustrations on dialogs and title screen even though we make our tweaks, changes, edit and compile multiple results to get our desired result.
When Born In Reverie is released in full, around 5% of the code base will be AI generated snippets. All illustrations, UI elements, soundtracks, dialogue, sprite designs, etc. will be human-created. -AI image generation was used for ideation on a small number of designs. What this actually means in practice is that AI images were created, modified, and then sent to real artists to serve as reference material in their work. The final illustrations and designs, were created by artists. -To improve productivity, the development of Born in Reverie utilized AI tools for coding/programming support, and AI scaling algorithms to up/down sample a small number of human-created assets. Born in Reverie DOES NOT live produce anything in-game via AI generation. -As an indie developer, I am unable to supervise the work of all the freelancers I work with and cannot guarantee their work is entirely AI free. If anyone I work with is found to produce content with significant AI usage, I will be removing their content and credits from the game and replacing their content with proper human artistry. Above all else, Born in Reverie values human artistry and seeks to create something genuine and authentic for players to experience.
AI has been used in image generation for the portraits of the characters. These images are then post-processed through a quantizer, which lowers the resolution and quantizes the image into only having the colors from my color palette.
The Maze on the Cover was generated with A.I.
Due to the meta-narrative about corporate greed, GPT-models and the regurgitation of modern media, AI was used as a tool for various in-game graphics and marketing phrases, to keep consistent with the theming of the game. The actual story content, audio, gameplay and visual design does NOT use AI generated content.
