Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI was only utilized to assist with programming and coding during development. No AI-generated assets, such as images, graphics, or audio, were used in this game.
Generative AI was used during development to create and refine some 2D visual assets, such as building artwork, icons, and promotional graphics. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
During development, this game used generative AI tools to assist in creating some content: some card illustrations, character art, and scene images were initially generated by AI, then manually selected, redrawn, and post-processed by the developer. Some music, sound effects, and text were also created with AI assistance and finalized after item-by-item revisions by the developer. Some assets used on the store page and promotional images were also produced with the assistance of the above tools. The game does not contain any AI content generated in real time at runtime, and does not use any third-party copyrighted characters, assets, or trademarks.
Some of the art, music and text in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools, then selected and edited by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play.
Generative AI was used during development for a small number of visual assets and background music. All AI-generated content was carefully directed, reviewed, and edited by the developer to maintain the game's quality, consistency, and artistic vision. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
The game's original languages are Portuguese and English. Generative AI was used exclusively to translate and localize the text into the other supported languages, making the game accessible to more players worldwide at launch. All code, game design, artwork, audio, and original Portuguese and English text were created by humans.
HYALOSFALL uses generative AI in part of its audio and text. Music. The eleven soundtrack recordings were created with Suno by the developer, under a paid subscription that grants commercial rights. The fallback synthesiser melodies — played when a recording is unavailable — are derived from those same pieces. Translations. The in-game text was translated into twelve languages with AI assistance. The Spanish source text is written by hand. Store and marketing material. The trailer music was created with Suno, and the studio intro animation with Grok. Everything else is not AI-generated. The 3D models, textures, visual effects, sound effects and level designs are produced by the project's own code and tools. Nothing is generated while you play. The game ships no AI models and makes no network connections.
Detonator Squad was developed almost entirely using AI tools, under extensive human direction, ongoing refinement and review. The game is built on my own custom 3D engine that I have been working on for a while, using AI coding tools. AI was also used to create interface and promotional artwork and to author or assist with code, 3D assets, level layouts, game text, music and sound effects. The original core game logic was handwritten for an earlier project, then ported and adapted using AI. All content is supplied with the game; no content is generated by an AI service during gameplay.
The voice lines in this game were generated using AI text-to-speech tools. We are a small team of two people, and professional voice acting was beyond the budget of this project.
AI was used for assets, code and some sounds
AI tools were used in the creation of every part of this game, including art, text, localization, audio and code.
Some in-game artwork, such as fish, poles and quest art, is made with the help of AI image tools, then selected and edited by our team. Some forum replies from in-game characters are AI-assisted and reviewed before they are posted. Nothing is generated live during gameplay.
I'm a solo developer, not an artist or musician. So I used AI to help create some of the artwork and music for this game. Everything else (code, game system, UI design, mission design, story planning, and overall creative direction) is entirely my own work. I also reused some hand-drawn pixel art from my previous game, created entirely without AI. If you prefer games made without generative AI, please check out my previous release. It's entirely human-made, with deeper mechanics and more systems to explore!
Generative AI tools were utilized to generate base assets for various 3D models and musical tracks. All AI-generated content was subsequently edited, refined, and integrated manually to match the vision of the game.
AI was used for three things only: the first draft of the character models, the two main-menu music tracks, and the game and studio logos. No AI runs while you play. Everything you actually play was designed, built and balanced by the developer: the growing-tagger rule and the charged slap at the heart of the game; 6 game modes; 12 maps that each play by their own rules — a rolling ship, a flooding water tower, an arena that collapses ring by ring, lava that launches you skyward; 10 characters with 10 distinct powers, tuned one by one; bots with three difficulty levels that make the game fully playable solo; 2–10 player online play; a level and shop progression; match photos, match history and replays; and a 15-language localization. The character models were then hand-edited, rigged, height-matched and animated by the developer. The trailer and all screenshots are real gameplay. Sound effects and fonts come from CC0 / open-licensed sources.
Artwork: created with generative AI, pre-rendered, hand-curated and edited. Code and design: 100% human-written, built on a match-3 framework I've developed and shipped five games with since 2012. Runtime: no AI is used while the game is running.
Some of the images used in the game were created with generative AI tools. However, all questions, answer choices, facts, and other written content were created and edited by humans.
Some of the pre-made content in this game (such as artwork, audio and/or text) was created with the help of generative AI tools and was reviewed and edited by the developer. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create 2D art assets, UI elements, and icons.
Card and key art generated with AI tools to a studio style guide, then hand-composited in Photoshop; all text, UI, code and music are original or purchased assets.
Some in-game assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed, edited, and curated by our team before being included in the game. The game does not use generative AI at runtime — no content is generated while you play.
Visual Arts: Generative AI tools were used solely to create early-concept drafts and visual inspiration for certain art assets. All final in-game graphics, UI, and pixel art were manually redesigned, drawn, and polished by human artists. Localization: Generative AI tools were used to assist with the initial translation of supported non-primary languages. While we have conducted basic checks, these translations may still contain errors or awkward phrasing. We warmly welcome community feedback to help us improve localization over time!
Generative AI was used to assist in creating some store promotional images with manual post-compositing. Generative AI was also used to produce part of the 2D assets within the game, and to assist with translation and localization for portions of the game text. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed, edited and refined by our development team.
Pre-generated generative AI was used in the development of game code, visual assets, character portraits, promotional artwork, and portions of text and localization.
Generative AI was used to assist with English texts, localizations, and some pre-generated 3D character models, with all content manually reviewed and edited by the developer.
Some materials were generated using AI.
This game was made by a two-person team: a developer and a designer/artist. AI tools were used only as an aid during development. An AI 3D generator provided rough starting shapes for the capybara figurines, which the team then remodeled, textured and set up in the game engine. level design, gameplay, art direction, UI and text was designed and made by the team. The game does not generate any AI content while you play.
Generative AI was used for pre-generated Steam store promotional artwork, library artwork, and application icons. No AI content is generated during gameplay, and the game does not connect to external AI services.
Garden Diary uses generative AI in these places, all reviewed and edited by me: • Code - written with an AI coding assistant. • Text - the interface text, hints and the game's written lines were drafted with AI help and edited by hand. This store description was written the same way. • Interface icons- the small line glyphs are hand-authored SVG produced with the same assistant. No AI-generated 3D art, textures, voice or music. Every 3D asset comes from licensed, human-made packs; the fonts are open-licensed human work; the wind, crickets, bells and lullaby are synthesised by the game's own audio code, and the rain is a licensed recording.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with selected visual and promotional assets, as well as localization. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer before being included in the game or store materials. KEYLINGS does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
Shogi: Magic & Mischief was developed with the assistance of generative AI tools in the following areas. ■ Illustrations and images Generative AI was used to create 2D visual assets, including character portraits, backgrounds, title illustrations, and other game and promotional artwork. The developer directed the visual concepts, character designs, composition, and colors, and selected the images for inclusion, with editing, cropping, and compositing where needed. ■ Music Background music was created using music generation AI. The developer defined the intended mood, generated candidates, and selected and edited tracks for the game. ■ Voices The male voice assets are pre-existing human-recorded audio from T-Sta. The female voice assets were created using audio generation AI and selected and edited by the developer. The developer determines the final wording. ■ Program code AI coding assistance tools were used during implementation, debugging, and testing. ■ Non-AI assets Sound effects are pre-existing human-created audio assets from providers including Soundeffect Lab, Kurage Kosho, T-Sta, and DOVA-SYNDROME, rather than AI-generated sound effects. The game uses the fonts Zen Kaku Gothic New and Shippori Mincho, distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. ■ How AI is used Generative AI is used during development, not to generate new artwork, music, voices, or dialogue during gameplay. The computer-controlled shogi opponents use game logic and move-search algorithms; they are separate from the generative AI tools used to develop the game. ■ Developer responsibility The developer is responsible for the content included in the game, reviewing it for inappropriate or potentially infringing material, and checking the applicable licenses and terms of use for third-party assets and AI tools.
Some of the game's 3D models and artwork were created with the help of generative AI tools and then cleaned up and edited by hand. Parts of the store page text were drafted with AI assistance. The game does not generate any AI content while you play.
In-game text (bee facts, item descriptions, achievement lines) and store page copy were written with the assistance of an AI writing tool, under the developer's direction and review. All artwork is pixel art drawn by the game's own code, and all audio is synthesized or CC0 field recordings — no AI-generated images, audio, or music.
Intergalactic Burger Joint has been a labor of love, with a lot of time, attention, and care put into bringing this little corner of the galaxy to life. The game’s 3D characters, environments, and props use licensed Synty assets. Generative AI helped create achievement icons, some interface and branding artwork, Steam store images, music, ambient audio, sound effects, and chef and customer voices. It also helped us write in-game text and dialogue. Choosing what belonged, refining the details, and bringing everything together into a game took time, experimentation, and care. We hope you feel that love in the little details as you play. All AI-generated content was created during development. Nothing is generated live while you play.
