Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

I have used AI to help me make some of the artwork for marketing,
Some backgrounds, textures and assets have a significant amount of AI mixed with handrawn artwork.
AI is used to assist with English translation. All translated text is ultimately reviewed and edited by humans.
Some static 2D art assets such as key art, loading screens, and promotional images were created using AI-assisted tools and then manually edited by the developer. The game itself does not use AI to generate any live content, dialogue, or gameplay elements.
Graphic background in main menu was created with the help of AI and 1 or 2 poster decorations in-game was also created with the help of AI.
The partial UI display content of the game is generated by AI and then adjusted manually.
Use of AI-generated images to assist with marketing materials and textures.
The game includes pre-rendered character portraits visible in cutscenes.
Use to generate background
AI Generated background images.
Yep, we used AI – but only to whip up some promo images for our Steam page and a few static visuals in the game. The rest? 100% human-made, with love, coffee, and probably too many late nights.
The only uses of AI was a background remover for the logos, and to generate the assassin I use on the store page, there are some AI generated 2d elements inside of the game, but none of the 3d elements or map design is AI generated.
We used generative AI for: art on the store page, and some in-game textures. Each AI-generated content was then manually adjusted by our in-house artist to ensure the presence of human input in the art and high quality of the game.
AI has been used to generate a specific image on a flyer object.
use AI-generated icons, portraits, etc.
The design, audio, and background music for some of the collection items in this game were created by a generative AI.
Our Policy for AI Use Even if, and disclose from time to time that, we use AI in some of our products, it never means that our product consists of AI-generated content, which is simply impossible but may be presumed by some people. We continue our due diligence and necessary efforts to come up with the best content. AI is a field that we keep track of and welcome curiously and excitedly. It is something not the world gives us but what we get from the world according to our requirements. However, We always consider the rights of commercial and ethical use of AI. Therefore, we subscribe to their content, pay their respective fee, and keep their receipts/licenses. How may we use AI? We may use outsourced AI in a number of different ways in addition to our own in-game AI mechanics, as it gives us uniqueness and originality as we like, and as long as its content is compliant with our above policy: Sound files: We have a large collection of audio clips we have purchased and keep purchasing. We also have the means to make our own sound files. Sometimes we may also use AI-made sounds to make audio clips as well if we fail to find what we are looking for in our archive. Graphics: We may use AI for some of our graphical assets. We have various means like software with which we can create characters, particularly our animated characters in the trailers and cutscenes, which are our own unique designs. We may use AI in this particular game in relation to the environment and some of the ancillary icons, finishings, and corrections. Ideas: We may chat with AI about whether an idea is suitable for the current genre we are working on. However, we plan to discontinue this use of AI as it lacks originality. For example, when we asked for the names of two female characters for a fantasy game, AI suggested “Anya and Ayleen.” They are obviously names used before and we needed to change the names of our two characters. The above use of our AI may naturally appear on our store page as we include fragments from our game to introduce and promote it. This policy may be subject to change depending on the developments, ethical considerations, and circumstances regarding the use of AI in the future.
-Assisting with translation for multiple languages. -Repainting and texturing certain artworks. -Creating placeholder assets for the game demo.
Nearly all content in the game including gameplay, environments, and story was handcrafted. Some cosmetic elements, such as nose-art decals, icons, were AI generated or AI-assisted, then manually refined to match the game's visual style and tone.
Some voices were made with Replica Studio, a verified Unity Solution. Everything here has it's valid license.
This game uses generative AI during its development to create a limited number of pre-rendered assets. Specifically, some of the static loading screen art was created with the assistance of AI tools. All of these assets were finalized and reviewed by our team before the game's release to ensure they meet quality standards and adhere to Steam's content policies. There is no live or real-time AI generation of content while the game is running.
We have utilized an AI program to help us generate music within the game and Steam Main Graphics for the game.
We used generative AI for: art on the store page, and some in-game textures. Each AI-generated content was then manually adjusted by our in-house artist to ensure the presence of human input in the art and high quality of the game.
Use AI to render some promotional images
Placeholder loading screens and some in-game materials were made with AI assistance.
During development we use AI assistance in certain tasks, such as upscaling in-game assets to higher detail versions. An example would be creating higher detail 2D UI portraits for NPCs in their in-game environment from the in-game art. All original artwork and the final creative vision come from our development team. The game has optional computer generated voice overs.
Store page image assets (excluding screenshots and videos) has been generated with AI as the game will need to be further developed to get final assets but will fit the themes as presented.
Few images in-game are prepared using AI tools.
The package image of this game was created using multiple AI tools. Part of the background image and background character: Created using Stable Diffusion and provided under the CreativeML Open RAIL-M license. Part of the logo design: Created by Sonic-Alpha using OpenAI's generative AI, "ChatGPT," under the paid "ChatGPT Plus" plan. No AI-generated elements are included in the main game or in-game content.
The game includes some temporary AI-generated content (such as images, sounds, or graphical elements) used solely to speed up the development process. All of these assets are provisional and will be progressively replaced with original materials as the project advances.
I (Creekside Interactive) use AI generated music via SUNO. In which I (Creekside Interactive) own all the rights to song(s) generated by SUNO as stated in the SUNO commercial license purchased by Levi's Arts LLC.
Some textures contain AI generated imagery
Basic, limited AI use in one of the promotional art assets.
We use generative AI to create pre-rendered character images as a starting point, which are then meticulously refined and enhanced using image editing tools. The final assets combine the creative touch of digital hand-drawing with generative AI, resulting in high-quality, polished visuals.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team. Examples include voiceover audio where we utilize text-to-speech tools to e.g. generate the audio of our in-game commentators Scotty & June.
The Logo art was created with A.I tools.
Both Generative AI and AI editing tools were used for some background and menu images, textures, and voices.
Some AI-generated images are included
I have troubles writing long descriptions so I used ChatGPT to help me write some of the descriptions and lore in the game. It was used as a reference, nothing more. I have used ONLY my own content and ONLY my own algorithm models to generate content from. I wrote my own to be able to use it for this purpose only. I do NOT infringe on ANY creative rights in doing so.
AI has been used for music on radios, and for some voice lines
During the development of this game, AI-generative content was used to create auxiliary interface elements, some icons and character voice acting.
Infrequent usage of placeholder character art, to be replaced as funding allows.
During the beta phase of Steel Hunters, we may use AI-generated voices for certain in-game characters, including the announcer, to support our development process. The majority of the voices in the game are performed by real voice actors, and AI-generated voices will be replaced with human voices before the official launch. This helps us focus on delivering the best experience while the game is still in development.
As a solo dev, I use custom-trained AI tools for a small portion of the visuals/audio, based on assets I own or created. The vast majority of my development effort goes into the realistic rocket simulation and engineering systems.
Some concept art edited using AI tools.
We use AI to create some concept arts for the game used in some backgrounds
The game includes several textures that were initially generated using AI and subsequently refined through manual editing. There aren't many such objects in the game.
Capsule art and one or two textures made partly with the help of generative AI.
The game uses some AI-generated sound effects, music, voice overs and in-game localization. It may, in rare instances use AI art fully or adopted by artists.
