Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some of the images are generated using AI and then edited and processed. Some of the scripts were also created in consultation with the AI.
We just used AI to help with the Steam capsule and some marketing assets
Generative artificial intelligence was used in a limited capacity during development. Specifically, AI tools were used only for generating and refining certain in-game text elements. All gameplay design, mechanics, art, and core creative direction were created and implemented by the development team.
The game to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence
The game contains some AI generated background music tracks (e.g. background music blasting from an apartment or an old radio playing from a vehicle, user interface background music)
Music used in the game is generated by AI. Writing code of the game was supported by AI.
Some visual assets used in this game were generated with the assistance of AI tools.
We used a Text-to-Speech tool to create a voiceover for the game's trailer.
Game logo, headers and game menu logo made with ai software
In the promotional materials, AI was only used to check the correctness of the English text and to assist with minor aspects of character animation in the trailer, such as verifying the spoken dialogue. Some images were also created with the help of AI based on my own sketches.
AI Suno Music (Original tracklist by me) AI used as help, to coding some features in Unity
We use AI for some pronunciation until our VO talent can fix them. We used AI to repose one character in marketing content.
Some temporary in-game music used during development was generated with AI tools as placeholder audio. The intention is to replace these tracks with music created by human artists as the project progresses.
Some of the music tracks included have been created using Suno to avoid copyright infringement for players looking to share video content of the game.

[Localization]AI tools were used for text translation and localization.
AI-assisted tools may be used during development for ideation and temporary assets. Final content is reviewed and approved by the developers.
Game logo and menu and options logos made with ai tools
code and text generation and pre-generated content
Some of the promotional and storefront images were created with AI tools and then refined by hand. All of the in-game assets were designed by a 3D artist.
The human character in the capsule image was generated with AI.
Artificial Intelligence is part of the lore behind this project, but it leans heavily towards balance between humans and AI. - The friend bots within this app can be disabled and reprogrammed by you! - With each update, the machine will become more user friendly. The goal is to create jobs by allowing anyone to become their employer starting here. Placeholders and maintenance may be generated in some projects for demonstrations and further editing. Every update here is free once you own a copy.
We used AI tools to help fix bugs in the code and write functions we didn’t know how to make ourselves.
The game's capsule image used artificial intelligence.
Our team may utilize AI tools to assist with specific illustrations during the development process. Any AI-generated content is used as a draft content; it is selected, edited, combined by our team before the final result is achieved. The final product is created under the complete creative control of our developers and artists.
We use AI to help with translation.
AI used for music improvement.
During the development of the project, generative artificial intelligence was used as a supporting tool, assisting in the preparation of certain materials, which were then manually reviewed and integrated into the game. An example of its use includes localization and translations into individual languages.
AI used in development for character portraits, abstract images and music
Generative artificial intelligence tools were used during the development process to assist with creating certain assets such as visual concepts, UI text, and/or placeholder content. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer before being included in the final game. The game does not use AI to generate content dynamically during gameplay.
AI tools have been used in the production pipeline workflow of graphic assets, code and music
Generative AI is used sparingly in the game to generate limited artwork and logos, and as development goes on, these images will be replaced by real artwork. Most logos in the game are artwork created by players in the community.
The game's cover art was created using AI.
The game's cover art was created using AI.
Game logo, banners, headers and game menu icons made with ai tools
The entire source code of this game was developed with the assistance of generative AI to overcome programming limitations. Additionally, the store assets (capsules, headers, and backgrounds) were created using generative AI tools. The development process, showing how AI was used as a tool to realize this project, is documented on the developer's YouTube channel (Momo_Ger).
AI used for generating some riders avatars and description in the store page
"We use generative AI tools to assist in the creation of concept art, marketing capsules, UI mockups, and store page assets. All AI-generated assets are manually reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure they align with the game's artistic vision."

AI used for some 3-d assets
Enhanced and translated store page text using AI.
Generative AI was used only to create some promotional visual materials, such as cover and capsule images.
Generative AI was used for the production of SOME art assets. Some are completely handmade, Some are almost entirely AI with additional human editing. This normally varies by game where one will have lots of AI and one will be completely handmade. Art assets refer to images and music. No AI ever runs during runtime.
Only with certain images
AI is used to enhance the store page description(s).
Some visual and level assets in this game were created during development with the assistance of generative AI tools and then manually reviewed and finalized by the developer. The game does not use generative AI to create content during gameplay or at runtime.
