(Newcomer uses AI in a variety of contexts. If you have moral conundrums about AI usage or you do not want to use a resource with AI translations, I recommend finding learner/teacher curated non-AI resources. Thankyou!) Text to speech (TTS): Newcomer uses text to speech to generate voices for anything the user or NPC might say. Translations: Newcomer uses Google's Gemini to generate translations across all content (dialogue, stories, etc.) for all language pair combinations. Grammar Explanations: Newcomer uses Google's Gemini to allow users to click on any word to receive a localized grammar explanation. NPC Response Generation: Beginner mode dialogue is handcrafted and planned. However, the majority of NPC responses in intermediate mode are generated using Google Gemini. This allows Newcomer to handle any type of response the player might communicate. Developer response: I am using AI primarily to help me provide the best RPG experience I can for as many language learners as possible while I continue to build the game. Thankyou! - Jason

Using «text to speech» to voiceover background characters
I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. They are locally generated using Stable diffusion, without resorting to paying any generative AI company. Although paying them could have given me better tools and results, I decided not to pay for their use to support the claim of artists for fair royalties. (It is not possible to discuss such a complex issue here, but I will consider opening a discussion on the topic in the game forum, follow my game to be notified if it is created) Most of the artistic content in the game, mainly music, is compensated in various ways depending on the case to its artists. My original content is registered, but the images generated by AI are essentially treated as 'creative commons' and I consider them fanarts of my characters. All added scenes and backgrounds are of high quality and maintain good coherence, avoiding deformities in hands, eyes, etc., and without annoying or confusing shapes. All AI-generated images are generated, selected, and edited exclusively by me, the creator of the game, to reflect my original vision, previously inaccessible due to high costs. I have sought to include only select content that enriches the narrative and immersion of the game.
Non-player characters in Catsploration use AI-generated voices, while I voice the narrator.

I primarily leverage generative AI to assist me with refining grammar and ensuring correct spelling in English and French.
This game has utilized materials generated by Adobe Firefly for both marketing banners on the store page and also the Ablockalypse game title logo.
There is no AI generated content in the game, and we don't use AI to generate content or assets for the game. During a previous playtest we found out that some assets from a third-party-pack from the marketplace, that we used in game as placeholders for icons, might have been created using generative AI, even though the seller did not explicitly state this. We removed these assets from the game just to be sure.
The preliminary version of some audio sound effects and soundtracks were generated by generative AI before being refined to the final version.
We use AI to generate some voice content for the game.

Tutorial character (Kim) and voiceovers were created with the help of AI and then retouched by our team to fit the game. AI tools have been used solely to assist our small indie dev team. Please be assured that the game's content represents our team's creativity and dedication.

The original narrative of "My Poodle's Diary" is inspired by true events. AI was utilized to enhance the text, generate visual artwork, and provide narration, ensuring a polished and engaging experience. Despite this technological integration, each chapter has been meticulously crafted by hand to preserve the authenticity and emotional depth of the story.
Promotional content for the game can include AI generated content.
The game used AI-assisted background generation — all AI drafts were later refined and hand-painted by the artist.
