Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game uses AI to generate character illustrations and other artwork images, and AI was also used for translation.
In-game character images and translations were created using AI.
Tales for the Long Nights uses generative AI in various methods of asset creation throughout the game.
Monster characters
As a solo dev, I use generative AI tools to fill in some gaps including team icons and some sound effects
Code Assistance: AI tools such as ChatGPT and Cursor were used to assist with program construction and debugging.
Some of the game's store assets and promotional materials are AI-generated, including store covers, banners, and other visuals.
While most resources are handcrafted by designers, some elements of the game may feature images created or edited using AI technology. These AI-generated assets help enhance the visual experience and provide additional variety in certain areas of the game world.
Some artwork in the game (such as character portraits) were generated using AI systems.
Some of the images and music are AI generated content
Character designs are created manually by artists and writers. We use AI to speed up the drawing of backgrounds and planets. AI is not used to generate content directly during the game.
LiveTale uses AI to help users embody characters in the game. This includes motion capture applied to character models' arms, torso, head, and face, and optional voice conversion to match predefined character voice options. LiveTale does not use server-hosted AI, all AI models are stored locally on users computers. NOTE: THERE IS NO GENERATIVE VISUAL ART IN LIVETALE.
We use AI for voice recognition and for defining character emotions based on player input.
Some scenes and promotional renderings。
AI-generated images are partially utilized in the game's Loading screen and in the store promotion pages.
2D character art and title screen was generated and enhanced from pre-production reference sketches drawn by the developer. Some music in the game was generated utilizing Suno, and edited to fit the thematic elements of the game.
AI was used to generate the backgrounds, enemies, and character portraits. Gyudon Games consists of a single developer who deeply respects artists and understands that AI cannot replace their creativity. "Guild Encounters" is a labor of love, inspired by many JRPGs of the past. Without the use of AI, creating this game would not have been possible given the developer's limited resources. I hope you understand this decision. Thank you for your support—I will continue working hard to deliver the best experience possible!
This game uses generative AI to assist us with game translations and the creation of the thumbnail.
I use Deepseek to generate AI dialogues in character dialogues in the game, but the story background is my own original creation. Others did not use AI
AI is used to create pictures like the wallpapers
AI was used for grammar and spell checking, as well as for brainstorming certain problems. A select few generated images were used as a starting point and then further manipulated using image editing software. One example is a generated skull image that was used in the background of some menus. These were heavily altered to have a dithered, pixelated look. No AI was used for any of the sprites found in the game (e.g., the monsters, menu icons, and so on). These were handmade by the awesome artists behind the Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup tileset.
AI has only been used for the background image, an underground castle with skeletons, which is displayed behind the game logo and on the main menu of the game. Nothing else.
Some visuals within this content and on the store page have been generated using AI.
We only use artificial intelligence on the marketing art side
Chat GPT was used to create some parts of dialogue, and it was used to create the monster designs.
We used IA to generate Character portrait.
This game makes limited use of ChatGPT (OpenAI) as a development aid. Specifically, it was used to generate decorative elements for the battle screen, a visual graphic for the final boss on the map screen, and the initial code for some plugins. All AI-assisted content has been manually edited and optimized by the developer, and accounts for only a small portion of the game. All content complies with Steam's policies and is properly managed.
Logos are AI generated and hand edited
Characters in the game, Q version of the role, scene vertical drawing is generated by AI and then modified twice.
Character portraits, monsters, some map materials, and battle music are generated using AI.
In addition to paid-for licensed assets from supported artists and musicians, the game also uses AI pictures for some graphical assets.
I have used AI-generated cover art as a placeholder. I hope to change it when I can afford an artist.
Part of art workflow, use as stock images to draw over and photo bash. Use ChatGPT to elaborate idea into description, general programming helper, proof-reader and translator.
Used chat got to. Generate 3 pictures for my video story, 1. A yatch sailing on a sea 2. A news paper fake news about the name of the game 3. A news paper fake info saying dream killer related to the narration of the game to immerse the players more into a story view. All fictional. I used them on the videos.
We have used AI-generated images for some background visuals in the game. 1. 10 background images are used on the title screen. 2. Several background images are used in various in-game menu screens.
The character original paintings and skill icons are AI-assisted. We are a two-person development team, and AI helped us make a lot of 2D assets.
AI is used to help translate original English language text into non-English languages.

Portions of the game's art assets were created using AI and then manually modified to finalize them
AI was used to generate some assets and marketing material.
AI-generated artwork was used during early development, primarily as temporary material while testing and building the game. Much of this artwork has already been replaced, both in the game and on the Steam page, with original work created by commissioned artists and by me. I will continue replacing remaining assets where bespoke artwork meaningfully improves the game, with a strong focus on ensuring that its characters, environments, key visuals, and overall artistic identity are shaped by original artist-created work.
I use generative AI to create some of the artwork for the game. All generated artwork is cleaned and/or edited by me in Photoshop before publishing.
This game features AI-generated NPC voice lines and AI-generated store artwork.
