Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game uses artificial intelligence to create some images and sounds. It is also used to create unique music.
Some AI sound effects and music.
Used to generate a few picture frame images and faces for the Missing Persons. They are not real people.
The game logo and some in-game assets are generated by AI
The game utilizes pre-generated AI content during the development process. Specifically, we use Adobe Photoshop's AI features to assist in editing, retouching 2D images, and creating specific visual text elements. All AI-assisted assets are manually reviewed and modified by the development team before implementation.
This game utilizes pre-generated AI assets to enhance the immersive atmosphere and production value. Specifically, AI tools were used to assist in the creation of: Audio: Atmospheric sound effects and character voice-over performances designed to heighten the psychological horror experience. Promotional Material: Static visual elements and artwork used for marketing purposes. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, curated, and integrated by the development team to ensure it aligns with the game's narrative and artistic vision.
The game logo was created using AI-assisted tools. All other assets are fully handcrafted.
The game includes multimedia material generated with AI.
In The Last Frame, generative AI is used only for selected audio elements. The accompanying background voice as well as certain sound effects, background music, and atmospheric sounds were created with ElevenLabs (Text-to-Speech and audio generation). The AI is used exclusively for speech and sound synthesis. No further content (images, models, textures, story, or visual assets) was generated with generative AI. All other elements are handcrafted or licensed. The developer confirms that the use of AI complies with Steam guidelines and does not infringe any copyrights.
AI is used for creating the music, sound effects, some of the textures, and some of the 3d assets.
LLMs were used in the localization of the store page and the game.
“AI tools were used to assist in creating certain visual assets, including store page images, main menu buttons, several in-game paintings, and one jumpscare image that appears during gameplay. AI is not used for gameplay systems, mechanics, code, or player interaction.”
AI is utilized solely for design references and inspiration. All final in-game assets are manually created.
Some art work is modified by AI and some generated from designs or outlines
the games does NOT use AI AI is used for the steam capsules only.
Some of the abnormal phenomena in this game include AI-generated content.
We used a mix of real voice actors and AI-generated voices.
AI was used to create the images, but the character sprites were redrawn by artist, and the backgrounds were edited in a graphics editor. To create the music, AI was used as a reference, and then the composer created his tracks based on it.
Artificial intelligence has been used to generate pre-created content for the store page, marketing materials, and community assets.
The images for the page have been slightly improved.
In our project, AI was used to partially create art assets, helping our artists bring some ideas to life.

AI is used for store photos in this game.
Content created by artificial intelligence is mostly used for sprites, textures, models and images.

This game makes limited use of generative artificial intelligence only for background music creation. AI was used solely to compose music tracks where the lyrics are in Sanskrit, a language for which affordable and practical production resources are extremely limited. All sound effects, environmental audio, voice elements, and dialogue are entirely human-made, created by my friends or sourced from free and licensed platforms such as YouTube, Soundly, and similar libraries. No AI was used for visuals, gameplay systems, writing, level design, or core creative direction. This project is my first commercial game, developed with very limited resources. If this game succeeds, I am fully committed to not using generative AI for audio or visual content in future projects, and to collaborating exclusively with human composers and artists. Thank you for supporting independent development.
The game and related appearances, such as websites, use AI-generated content (images and text).
We use AI in early conceptual design, to figure out an appropriate background art. We then go through several iterations manually with artist modifications, to produce a good, highly polished background that gels well with our characters, story and intended art style. Our characters are hand drawn by humans. Our objects are hand drawn by humans. All user interface (UI) elements are hand drawn by humans. All animations are hand drawn and meticulously rigged (also by humans) using bone animation.
There is an optional 100% local and open source AI to create an antagonistic voice taunting the player based on their actions, which can be disabled entirely.
The game logo created using AI-based tools.
We utilized generative AI to create the game’s intro video, as well as to assist in the production of minor in-game assets such as handwritten notes, paintings, and certain textures. These tools were used to enhance visual variety and accelerate asset creation, while all core gameplay elements, design decisions, and final integrations were handled and refined by the development team.
AI has been used to fill in art, music and code due to lack of sufficient resources available. This is not satisfactory in the long run. The ambition is to eventually replace all AI content with proper man-made assets assuming the revenue increases. I apologize for the slop, but we will have to bear it for now.
Generative AI is used to generate texture of certain models
The story, narrative, and core implementation are entirely human-made. AI tools were used for supporting elements in voice acting (ElevenLabs), imagery, music production, and video. Less than 15% of videographic content used AI generation (primarily edited in Canva and Filmora). Our two-person team meticulously guided and refined all AI-assisted content, spending hours to meet specific narrative and quality requirements. We specifically chose ElevenLabs as they contribute directly to Voice Actors through royalties and licensing deals. Special thanks to the Pixabay community for providing the high-quality audio alternatives used when the GenAI Content toggle is inactive.
Using artificial intelligence: Some famous games (example, lyrics, partial usage, and musical accompaniment) were created to promote technological progress. The lecture, one way or another, is dedicated to (OpenAI) and Mubert. This helped expand the creative possibilities and add a unique atmosphere, while maintaining full creative control on the part of the developer.
Some minor text and sound elements were assisted by AI tools, but nearly all creative content, ideas, and production were made by humans.
AI-assisted tools were used during development for prototyping and reference purposes, including code, visuals, and audio. All such materials were manually reviewed and approved by the development team. The final game does not rely on AI-generated content during gameplay.
Some character voices, textures, ambient audio, and concept images in Silent Chamber were created or enhanced using AI tools during development. All AI-generated content is pre-rendered and reviewed by the development team to ensure quality, originality, and suitability for the story. No live or dynamic AI generation occurs during gameplay.
In the game, players can press the "G" key to open the AI communication panel, and interact with the two AIs—Doubao and DeepSeek—by typing text. Players can choose to chat with either Doubao or DeepSeek, and both AIs will respond based on the player's input. Meanwhile, the AIs' decisions will influence the progression of the in-game storyline and their own specific behaviors. For instance, the AIs may determine the direction of storyline branches based on the content of the player's conversation, or change their movement paths in the game world and perform different actions. This creates a richer and more personalized gaming experience for players.
AI was used to assist with asset and plugin development.
Generation of UI elements and music
This work utilizes AI-generated images for certain designs, including some event and map objects, as well as some item icons.
The artist used artificial intelligence to create the capsule images
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
There's one painting inside the mansion building, in chapter 2 called "Full House" chapter. That painting was generated by OpenAI ChatGpt as texture for painting mesh. it's not live-generate content, but it's pre-rendered by AI.
AI was used to render some background images and with text proofreading. Also, some songs used in the game are AI generated.
AI is used to translate the store page.
Certain visual content within the game was created using generative AI. This includes the static background images and illustrations that appear as part of the main storyline and narrative progression
Some voice lines in this game were generated using AI voice synthesis technology. These AI-generated voices are used to represent in-game characters and narrative dialogue. All generated audio was reviewed, edited, and approved by the development team to ensure it meets quality and content standards.
