I am currently a solo developer working hard to bring this project to life. To keep development moving during the early stages, you will notice some placeholder character portraits and backgrounds that were AI-assisted. My goal and commitment is to replace every piece of AI-generated content with custom-made, hand-crafted pixel art by the time of the official 1.0 release. All current monster designs, battle maps, and GUI elements are already original pixel artwork. I appreciate your patience as I work to ensure the final version of the game fully reflects my personal artistic vision!

This game contains AI-assisted content, including voice performances and music. Without it, the visuals would likely resemble the work of a sleep-deprived stick figure artist. 📝 AI Generation Transparency (Steam Store Page) 1. Real-Time Narrative Gameplay (LLM): The core of the game is powered by an advanced Large Language Model (AI) that generates kidnappers' responses in real-time. Unlike traditional games, your dialogues are not limited to pre-written choices. The AI interprets your arguments, your tone, and your creativity to offer unique and unpredictable reactions. We have implemented strict moderation filters to ensure that all interactions remain within the satirical framework of the game and fully comply with Steam’s community guidelines. 2. Pre-Production Creative Assistance: We utilized AI-generative image tools for artistic exploration and concept art during the initial design phases. This allowed us to define the game's "moonshot" and vibrant aesthetic.Important Note: All final visual assets (interfaces, characters, environments) have been retouched, finalized, or recreated by our human team to ensure total artistic consistency and full respect for intellectual property.

As a solo developer, I used generative AI tools to assist in creating many of the game's character sprites, environmental art, and audio assets. This allowed me to focus my limited time on the things I care about most: deep mechanical systems, addictive prestige progression, satisfying combat feel, and making the "numbers go up" fantasy as juicy and rewarding as possible.

Arcana, Gas & Waterworks Inc.
In-game content
arttextaudio
The pipes, ley lines, and gas mains of Arcana, Gas & Waterworks Inc. were designed, debated, and duct-taped together by a single developer. All music was licensed from real indie musicians, who did NOT use generative AI in any way, and who are credited in the game. Generative AI tools helped bring AGW Inc. to life by turning hand-drawn sketches into finished art, scripting sound effects, and contributing early drafts of in-game text. All of this content was rewritten, expanded, or replaced by the developer to fit the game's voice and world. Thanks to the help of these AI tools, I was able to finally answer the burning question, "What if fantasy worlds needed infrastructure?"
