Public Steam disclosure research 25,727 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

AI is used to generate the club crests for the fictional first-division clubs, and to translate the game into languages the developer does not speak. The game's design, systems, and data logic are the developer's own.
We used artificial intelligence for localization translation and game coding and story illustration, trailer
AI helped with translating into different languages and with editing some of the original textures.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the refinement of certain visual assets and to improve the quality and consistency of translations. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the final game. No generative AI is used to create content dynamically during gameplay.
Currently, this is used in music and the icons for items in the game. Icons and items should be changed before the full release.
BattleDeck uses AI tools in the following areas: Artwork, audio and as a development assistant during coding. All AI generated content has been reviewed and refined by the developer.
Dungeon Cooking uses generative AI tools for some of its content, created during development (pre-generated, not generated in real time): - Part of the creature art: 6 of the game's 18 monsters were made with AI image tools, then edited and integrated by the developer. - Some in-game dungeon event content was drafted with AI assistance and edited by the developer. - The announcement trailer was produced using AI tools. The rest of the game's art comes from licensed asset packs and the developer's own work. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated by the developer before shipping.
Some character portrait sprite sheets and brand/division imagery shipped with Bankr are produced with generative AI tools during development, then reviewed and edited by the team before inclusion. All game text, simulation code, balance-sheet math, ratio logic, and gameplay systems are human-authored. No content is AI-generated at runtime — every asset is pre-rendered and pinned in the build.
AI was used for some translations and visual assets. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay, and AI was not used to write the game's code.
some of the code for the game is AI generated, some backgrounds
Generative AI tools were used to create and refine some pre-generated 2D artwork and Steam store graphical assets. All outputs were reviewed, curated, and edited by the developer before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content at runtime or connect to external AI services.
Generative AI was used to create the capsule artwork displayed on the Steam store page. No AI-generated content is used during gameplay, and the game does not use live-generated AI.
Some of the background music in Aquora was produced using a generative audio tool. Those tracks are placeholder. They are being replaced with commissioned original music, and any remaining generated audio will be phased out of the game over time. All visual art in Aquora is procedurally generated by the developer's own custom tooling, drawn from hand-authored colour palettes, explicit shape instructions and seeded random number generation. No image generation model is involved at any point in the art pipeline, and no AI generated images appear in the game.
部分演出用插图使用了生成式人工智能。
Used TTS/AI voice lines and AI-generated in-game posters.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with enhancing certain texture assets. All final assets were reviewed and tweaked by the developer.
Generative AI was used to create some base assets, which were subsequently heavily edited by hand. All final assets included in the game have undergone substantial manual editing.
Generative AI tools were used during the development of this game in the following ways: - Art creation: AI was used to assist in generating and refining visual art assets. - Mathematical computations: AI was used to perform complex mathematical calculations and to derive equations used in the game's systems. All AI-generated content was reviewed and integrated by the development team.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with selected 3D assets, music, promotional artwork, and parts of the game code. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, modified where necessary, tested, and integrated by the developer. No content or code is generated by AI during gameplay.
I used generative AI tools to help create some of the game's art — including certain UI elements (buttons and icons), backgrounds, story illustrations, and marketing images — which I then edited and finished by hand in Photoshop.
The artwork in this game (backgrounds, menu art, the still-life and landscape references used as puzzle targets, achievement medals, and store art) and the music were created with generative AI tools, then selected and adjusted by the developer before inclusion. No content is generated live during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with some promotional artwork and written content. All AI-assisted material was reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion. Apple Catcher does not use generative AI at runtime, and no content is generated during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating pre-rendered 2D artwork and graphical assets (including cowboy character portraits and background visuals), as well as generating select background music tracks for the game.
The layout of some graphics and one soundtrack.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create portions of the game’s artwork, sound and localization. Each AI-assisted asset was reviewed, edited, palette-matched, and curated by the developer.
Programs, background images, 3D objects
We use generative AI for some of the following elements. ・Some of the in-game art ・Some of the code ・Some of the banners and trailers on the store page
Only images for steam Capsules
AI tools were used during development to help compose the soundtrack, draw the pixel art, and draft text (including localization and this store page), all under human direction — every piece was reviewed, curated, and approved by the developer. All content is fixed at build time; the game contains no live or runtime AI generation.
During the development process, I use procedural and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects my own creativity and vision as a solo developer. Examples include utilizing AI tools to help generate and refine certain textures and 3D models in the game.
One More Fishing contains selected pre-generated content created or refined with generative AI tools during development. This includes selected in-game artwork and UI assets, selected Steam store and marketing artwork, audio assets such as music, ambience, sound effects and selected character voice lines, plus assistance with narrative and quest drafting and localization. All shipped content is selected, edited and integrated before release. The game does not use live-generated AI. It does not contact generative AI services while running and does not send player prompts or player data to such services. At runtime it only loads, selects, animates, processes and mixes fixed content prepared before shipping.
I mostly use AI for debugging and I make it document my code for me. I've been using it for placeholder art but intend on replacing all, or at least most of them by release. I use it like a tool I can turn to for general tasks rather then a crutch that does everything.
AI was occasionally used to assist in the creation of certain textures. However, these instances are light-hearted and do not impact the creative vision of Static Field Interactive.
This game uses AI for art, music, and localization.
Wildmark was made by one person. The story and all of its dialogue are my own, written by me. But without a studio's budget to commission artists, composers, and voice actors, I used generative AI tools to help create much of what you see. Nothing ships as a raw, untouched generation: every asset was hand-directed, chosen, refined, and assembled to fit a single cohesive, hand-crafted style and world, and reviewed by me to make sure it belonged. In the end, what matters is whether the game is enjoyable and worth your time, not which tools helped build it.

The game to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence
This game's store page description and some marketing/visual assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. AI is not used to generate gameplay content, puzzles, or code during play - Sudoku puzzles are generated using standard, deterministic algorithms, not AI.
This game uses AI technology in the production of some of its illustrations, music, voice, and text assets. All generated assets have been reviewed and adjusted by the developer before inclusion. The game also includes an "offline AI study assistant." This assistant does NOT generate text. It identifies the intent of the player's question and searches through study data that the developer has written and verified in advance, then displays the matching explanation as-is. It uses two bundled machine-learning models to improve search accuracy (an embedding model, multilingual-e5-large / MIT, and a re-ranking model, ms-marco-MiniLM-L-6-v2 / Apache-2.0), but these models do not generate any answer text. All processing runs entirely on the player's device with no external data transmission (no GPU required; runs on CPU). Any explanation shown was written and verified in advance by the developer. Note that it cannot answer topics outside the included data, and content may become outdated due to changes in exam rules or laws, so please confirm important matters with official exam information. This AI assistant is a supplementary study feature.
Generative AI tools (ChatGPT Image Generation / DALL-E) were used during development to generate concepts and visual marketing assets, including some store page banners and promotional artwork. All core gameplay pixel-art, character animations, sound design, and code were created manually by the developer.
Some of the game's 2D artwork (the slot machine cabinet and its symbols) was created with the help of generative AI image tools, then reviewed, corrected and integrated by hand. Part of the soundtrack was created with generative AI music tools. All game design, gameplay code and text were authored by the developer, who also used AI coding assistants during development. Nothing is AI-generated at runtime: the game contains no live AI content.
Use AI to assist with openness and appropriately generate various game materials!
Partial artwork uses generative AI assistance. Scripts are fully original written by the developer. Background music is CC0 public domain material, no in-game real-time AI generation.
Some of this game's assets were made with the assistance of generative AI tools and were reviewed, curated and hand-finished by the developer. No content is generated while you play.
I’m a web designer by day, and making a game has been a childhood dream of mine. I used generative AI as part of my development process, including helping with code, visual and audio assets. Every asset included in the final game was personally selected, refined by hand, placed, and directed by me to match the game’s overall vision.
During the development of this game, pre-generated AI tools were utilized to assist with text translations, programming scripts and optimization, and the creation of 2D artwork assets. All AI-generated content was directly reviewed, refined, and applied to the game by the developer.
Kerf - Sawmill Tycoon was made almost entirely with AI tools. The developer directed the work, chose what went into the game and approved every result, but did not model, rig or write code by hand. What that means for the content that ships in the game: - Code: written by an AI coding assistant. - Characters: generated by an AI 3D tool from AI-generated reference images, then rigged and set up in the game by the AI assistant. - Other 3D models: some came from an AI 3D tool - a vehicle and environment props such as rocks, mountains and bushes. The rest, including the valley, the buildings, the machines and the trees, were built in 3D software by the AI assistant writing scripts. - Animation: all character animation was generated with an AI motion tool. - Music: all of the in-game music was generated with an AI music tool. - Sound: some sound effects were generated with an AI sound tool; the rest were sourced from sound libraries by the developer. - Text: the in-game text was written with AI assistance, and the translations from English and Polish into the other 13 supported languages were made with AI. Everything was reviewed and approved by the developer before release. No content is generated by AI while the game is running. The Twitch integration only displays messages typed by real viewers.
We used generative AI tools to create the video content shown on the in-game pinball machine, and some of the promotional assets on our store page. All AI-generated content is reviewed by our team before release.
Eclipsia uses generative AI as part of the development process to assist in creating certain visual assets. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and integrated by the development team. The game does not use generative AI to generate gameplay, game logic, or player-created content in real time.
