Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Voice overs, translations and character busts are currently being handled by AI.
As a budget limited studio, we want to have everything in place before an artist to work on. These placeholders would reduce the amount of back and forth, rework and hours invested. Everything is directed and supervised by humans.
Voice overs and character busts will be completely replaced by the work of artists by the 1.0 release.
Pre-rendered AI tools were used to generate the base artwork for the Steam store page capsule images and marketing materials. All generated assets were manually edited and combined in image editing software.
AI was used in the application to create illustrations, voiceovers, translations. All materials have been manually reviewed and refined to ensure the quality and integrity of the application.
AI Content Disclosure (Or: Why Your Eyes Aren't Bleeding)
Steam requires me to formally disclose that I used AI tools to help create the visual assets for this game, and honestly, you should be thanking them for it. My personal artistic abilities peak at drawing lopsided stick figures, and if I had to hand-draw the assets myself, this wouldn't be a co-op horror game—it would be a tragedy.
To spare you from my awful programmer art, I used Meshy AI to generate the 3D models and Nano Banana Pro to handle the textures. The gameplay, the panic-inducing 90-second timers, and the terrifying undead Grandma mechanics are all me. The art, however, was assisted by AI as a public service to protect your eyeballs.
Some store visual assets (promotional images and capsules) were created with the aid of generative AI tools and manually
edited. Sound effects were generated using ElevenLabs API and music was created with Suno AI. Translations for languages
beyond Portuguese, English and Spanish were automatically generated and reviewed. All game code, gameplay, level design and
in-game sprites were manually created.
This game includes some content created with the assistance of generative AI during development, such as visual assets, text, and a small portion of background music.
All generated content has been carefully reviewed, refined, and integrated by the developer to ensure a consistent artistic direction.
We use generative AI tools to assist with some game audio assets, such as dinosaur sounds and other sound effects, as well as some store page, marketing, and promotional artwork. These assets are reviewed, selected, edited, and integrated by the developer before use. Generative AI is not currently used to create live gameplay content during play.
Some visual and marketing materials for this game were created with the assistance of AI tools. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
Hi, fellow players! While developing Flavor Legend, I used AI to assist in generating some character models, art textures, animation videos, background music, and ambient sound effects. All these assets have been manually reviewed and revised. The core gameplay, story, and all interactive experiences of the game are entirely original and created by me, with no AI-driven NPCs or dialogue features used. If any copyright disputes are found in the future, I will adjust and replace them immediately. Thank you for your understanding and support!
During the development of Heavy Mental, we utilized Meshy AI to assist in creating base 3D models and textures for several character assets and environmental props. Every asset generated through AI has been manually refined, rigged, and animated by our development team to ensure it fits the game's unique stylized art direction and meets our quality standards. Our use of AI is limited to the pre-production phase to streamline our artistic workflow.
An AI was consulted for ideas on how an AI would act if taking over the world. Game logo image was generated using generative artificial intelligence. Music before remixing/producing created with generative AI.
This game was developed with the assistance of generative AI tools. AI-generated content includes background music, UI design, text, and other assets — with the exception of pixel art graphics, which were created by human artists.
This game uses generative AI tools during development to assist with the creation of certain art assets, text, and programming content. The gameplay design and final integration are completed by the developer. All such content has been manually reviewed, refined, and approved by the developer to ensure it fits the game's design goals and remains consistent with the materials presented on the store page.
This game uses generative AI for some in-game paintings, store artwork, and the introductory voiceover. All content was reviewed and integrated by the developer.
Our store assets were created using a hybrid workflow. We used AI tools to generate initial concepts and textures, which were then extensively edited, refined, and combined with custom illustrations by an artist to ensure a unique, high-quality final result.
This game uses generative AI tools during development to assist with the creation of certain visual assets and concept art. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure consistency with the game’s artistic style and design.
No generative AI is used in gameplay systems or player interactions.
As a solo developer, I utilized generative AI tools during the development process in the following ways
- Visual Assets: AI was used to assist in the creation and enhancement of certain background images and textures. All final assets were manually reviewed and integrated to ensure quality and consistency.
- Text & Localization: I used AI for proofreading, refining the phrasing of in-game text, and assisting with translations into multiple languages to ensure a polished experience for players worldwide.
- Voice Generation: AI was used to generate certain voice lines in the game. All audio content was reviewed, selected, and integrated manually to ensure it fits the intended tone and quality.
All AI-assisted content was pre-generated and manually verified by me to ensure quality and compliance. The game does not feature any real-time AI generation during gameplay.
AI tools were used to assist in creating some store page descriptions and promotional graphics. The game itself does not use AI-generated content during gameplay.
Developing Aevalore solo meant tackling a massive project on my own. To manage the 500+ sprite sheets required, I used generative AI for the artwork (most hand polished for finish) and 90% of the music. Some of the music was made by a friend and me. This allowed me to pour all my energy into coding the 81-ability system, 12+ unique characters and crafting the world. These tools didn't replace my vision; they made it possible for a solo dev to build it.
Generative AI tools were used during development as assistants for code implementation and debugging, design iteration, localization drafts, UI mockups, and the creation or refinement of some 2D visual assets, including backgrounds, icons and interface artwork.
All outputs were reviewed, edited, selected, integrated and tested by the developer, who retained control over the game’s systems, balancing and final creative decisions.
No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not connect to generative AI services at runtime.
AI tools were used in a limited and supportive way during the visual development process for certain graphic elements such as the logo and parts of the user interface.
This game utilizes generative AI tools to assist in the creation of certain content during development, including the following:
* Art / Images: Some in-game assets and promotional materials were generated using Nano Banana. All AI-generated visuals were manually edited, integrated, and refined to ensure visual consistency and quality.
* Music / Audio: Some background music tracks were generated using Suno and were subsequently manually adjusted, mixed, and refined.
* Code / Logic: AI coding assistants were used to help generate portions of programming logic and code. All final code was manually reviewed and modified by the development team.
All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed and edited before release and does not contain illegal or inappropriate material.
This game does not include live-generated AI content. All AI-assisted assets are pre-generated and finalized during development.
This game contains pre-generated AI content.
