Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
All illustration assets in this game were created using generative AI tools (Whisk and ImageFX). All remaining work required to produce the game—from UI design and editing to layout and event scripting—was manually crafted by the developer. AI-generated content is limited to static illustration assets only, and the game does not include any real-time AI generation features.
I personally feel the final artwork reflects my own creative input as I used original images and applied manual edits without any AI tools during the post-processing phase, however Steam’s requirement is based on the origin of the asset, not the amount of human editing afterward.
AI was involved in the initial generation of the capsule art, and other images on the store page.
AI is not used for live generation or code during gameplay.
This game does not include AI-driven gameplay elements. However, the store page features custom artwork generated using artificial intelligence to showcase the game’s theme.
Some store page and library artworks were created using generative AI. All AI-generated images were manually edited, enhanced, and finalized by the developer. No AI was used for gameplay assets, models, sounds, or UI elements.
This game uses pre-generated AI images for the game. While navigating the menus, you'll see AI-generated images for menu backgrounds and buttons. The game's runtime (.exe) file icon and store images are also AI-generated.
This game uses AI-generated images, voice, and music for pre-rendered content.
All assets were created and finalized prior to release.
No AI is used during gameplay.
Some of the pixel art in this game was inspired by AI-generated concepts, but every design has been edited and refined by me, to fix imperfections and make it my own.
As a Solo Developer with a limited budget, I also used AI tools to help create the sound effects and music.
Some store page images were created with the help of AI. Our game artist uses AI tools to support and accelerate the creative process for certain designs.
Some graphical assets and sounds were created using generative AI tools during development. These were manually refined to ensure quality and unique identity.
The developer of Synergy Strike used AI-assisted tools as part of a solo development workflow. Audio, visuals, and code assistance were crafted using a curated set of generative tools all directed, reviewed, and shaped by a single human creator. Synergy Strike is handmade at its core.
Some of the voices, music and 3d models and their textures were created with the assistance of AI. Much of the legacy script was revised and improved on using Claude.
The Slots level features a jukebox that contains a list of AI tracks made by myself using Suno.
We use image generation AI for some character portraits, backgrounds, eye-catching images, etc.
All images used are processed and used after confirming that they have a commercially available license.
Use of Generative AI
Generative AI was used during the development period in a limited capacity, specifically for code generation assistance and for temporary placeholder image (sprite) assets used only during the early development stage and test play.
All image (sprite) assets generated by AI at the placeholder stage were used exclusively for testing purposes. These AI-generated assets are not included in the released version of the game that players play.
In the released version of the game, all sprites have been completely replaced with assets that are either hand-drawn by the developer or obtained from legitimate asset stores. As a result, players will not encounter any AI-generated image (sprite) assets during gameplay.
Even at the provisional stage, great care was taken to avoid any infringement of third-party copyrights. Image generation was strictly limited to generic, non-distinctive materials with no risk of copyright infringement. Examples include the following (note that all such provisional materials are replaced with custom assets or assets from the asset stores in the released version of the game):
- Background wallpapers (such as copper, silver, gold, or rainbow-style gradients)
- Decorative text elements and font design prototypes
- Common, generic pattern materials (such as brick blocks, metal pipes, springs, wooden boards, etc.)
By using generative AI in this manner, players benefit primarily in the following ways:
- Improved development speed, enabling faster delivery of updates and balance adjustments
- Cost efficiencies in development, with savings Lead enhancing the overall game experience and strengthening player support
