Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI has been used to generate music
Large portions of the game’s background music, sound effects and written texts, together with a limited selection of models and texture assets, were created with AI tools.
Generative AI was used to create the music and for text translation. Distant views in the image were partially edited using generative AI but manually edited for the final product.
This game includes content created with the assistance of generative AI tools. Some character and UI artwork was produced using AI image generation (ChatGPT) and then edited by the developer, and the background music was generated using ACE-Step (an open-source model whose output permits commercial use). All AI-assisted assets were reviewed by the developer to ensure they do not infringe the intellectual property of third parties. No AI is used at runtime—all generation occurred during development (pre-generated).
Some store page assets and library assets (marketing banner etc), as well as some artwork and maybe 10% of the sound effects, were created with the assistance of AI. The music is entirely human. No AI music in the game.
Sydwater is solo developed, AI was used to help with the workflow of the game and was used to generate SOME: Artworks, Voice Lines, 3d Models. Gemini Google Assistant was also used as a Coding Assistant with SOME code.
Some AI-generated placeholder music and conceptual artwork were used during development and the promotional design process. All gameplay content, levels, story, characters, dialogue, and final implementation have been created, reviewed, and curated by the development team. Any AI-assisted content is subject to human oversight and modification prior to release.
Some images and sound have been generated with the assistance of AI.
The announcer's voice is AI modified.
AI is used to help on music and art creation both out and in game.
I use Ai for sound tracks or fixing problems in unreal engine 5 and I do not use it for 3D Desgine because sound actors are very expiensive to hire
The tutorial includes AI-generated voiceover to assist new players
This game uses AI-generated art assets (ComfyUI / Stable Diffusion XL) and music (AceStep). All AI-generated content was created during development and is fixed in the final build. No AI APIs are called at runtime.
The game's original artwork and music are both generated by AI
Generative AI was used only for certain voice and audio elements featured in the game and its trailer. All gameplay systems, visual assets, game design, programming, and other content were created and implemented by the developer. Players cannot generate content using AI within the game, and no AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
Cavernreach contains very limited AI-assisted content, including some music/audio assets and promotional artwork. All gameplay, environments, programming, story content, voice acting, level design, and game implementation were created by the developer. Any AI-assisted assets used during development for testing or reference purposes have been replaced, recreated, or removed from the full release where applicable.
AI-generated content used only for musics
Some of the images and sounds in this game were created using generative AI. This allows us to reduce development costs and deliver more content faster, providing players with a richer and more engaging experience.
Temporary images for furniture and clothing icons within the game, some promotional materials and banners, text translation, and some temporary sound files were created using AI. All in-game content will be replaced with human-made work before the game’s release.
We developed the game with AI assistance for graphics, coding, and music. All AI assets are pre-rendered and static.
Ultimate Jam uses generative AI for all coding and select pre-made assets (announcer voice and/or music), created from robot-human-written scripts and prompts, then edited by the team. Gameplay, controls, and AI opponents use traditional code — not generative AI. Nothing is generated live while you play.
Some in-game assets, including textures / background art / sound effects / narrative texts, were created with the help of generative AI tools during development. All AI-generated content has been reviewed and manually adjusted to ensure it meets the game's quality standards and does not contain any infringing or inappropriate material.
This game contains pre-generated AI content. Certain in-game dialogue voice lines were created using AI-generated voices. No live AI generation occurs during gameplay, and no user-generated AI content is included.
All background music used in this game are pre-generated offline AI audio assets sourced from Pixabay (static files only, no real-time generation). All materials fully comply with Pixabay’s free commercial use license with no copyright infringement issues. Full download records of these assets are retained, and there is no mandatory requirement to disclose specific AI generation tools. Localized texts and tutorial content of the game are created with the assistance of AI tools. All AI-generated content has been reviewed for compliance.
All final artwork is created by our artists. AI-generated 2D placeholders are clearly labeled and will be replaced during production. Generative AI also assisted with select audio elements under our team’s direction.
Art,Music,Code
Generative AI was used to assist with drafts of some visual, audio, narrative, and localization assets, as well as marketing materials. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and finalized manually by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to any external AI service.
Generative AI was used to assist with sound design and localization.
During development, procedural and AI-assisted tools may be used to support certain content creation tasks. All content is reviewed, refined, and integrated by the developer. Examples include artwork coloring and sound effect generation.
The music in SEPTAR is created using generative AI tools.
AI technologies were used extensively throughout the development of this game. The vast majority of the game's design, balancing data, art assets, audio assets, programming, and testing were completed with AI assistance.
AI was used to help find bugs, create some art, music, and game content. The game itself was designed and made by humans.
Cutscene CG animations, background music and character artwork in this game are created via generative AI, with all assets pre-generated during development. All such content has been manually revised and reviewed to ensure full compliance with relevant requirements. 本游戏中的过场动画 CG 动画、背景音乐以及角色原画均是通过生成式 AI 技术制作而成,所有资产均在开发阶段预先生成。所有此类内容均已经过人工修订和审核,以确保完全符合相关要求。
AI was used to generate some art assets, some BGMs, and text translation localization.
Stickplosion makes extensive use of generative AI in its creation. Visual assets — including character art, environment art, UI elements, and logo — were generated with AI tools and curated by the developer. Sound effects and music were similarly produced with AI assistance. In-game text and store-page copy were written with AI assistance as well. All generated content was reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before inclusion in the final game.
Generative AI tools were used extensively during development to assist with the game's source code, background music, and sound effects.
Generative AI tools were used during the development of this game to assist with the creation and refinement of some visual assets, background artwork, character-related images, audio elements, voice content, narrative-related materials, localization, and programming code. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, selected, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure that it fits the game’s artistic direction, narrative, and technical requirements. The game does not generate new AI content while it is running, and players do not directly interact with any live generative AI system.
This game contains some pre-generated visual and sound assets created with the assistance of generative AI. All such content was reviewed and integrated by the developer. No generative AI is used during live gameplay.
This game contains pre-generated AI-assisted audio content. Some music tracks were generated using Suno AI under an active paid subscription and later edited in Audacity. Some voice audio was generated using ElevenLabs under an active paid subscription and later edited in Audacity. No live AI generation occurs during gameplay.
This game uses generative AI tools as part of its development and content production process. AI-assisted workflows were used for selected visual assets, video materials, music or audio drafts, localization/text drafts, code assistance, and marketing/store page materials. All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services while the game is running.
By My Side is developed by a small independent studio, and we use generative AI as part of our content pipeline: - 3D models — many in-game models (crops, props, buildings, devices and characters) are generated with Meshy AI, then adjusted, scaled and integrated by hand. - Music & sound — parts of the soundtrack and sound effects are created with AI audio tools and curated by us. - Localization — translations are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed before release. All AI-generated content is reviewed, edited and curated by the developer before it ships. No generative AI runs live during gameplay — everything is pre-generated and fixed.
As the sole developer of Veridium: Final Pulse, I utilize generative AI tools as development assistants to create pre-rendered assets. AI technologies were used to generate 2D artwork, animations, music, sound effects, coding workflows, and promotional store texts. Crucially, all AI-generated elements have been thoroughly reviewed and curated, and were manually edited, modified, or refined wherever necessary to ensure high quality and artistic cohesion. The game contains no real-time or dynamically generated AI content during gameplay, and all tools are used under valid commercial licenses.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence to create portions of its GDScript code, Steam store promotional graphics, character designs, skills, in‑game items, environment maps, sound effects, background audio, and various dynamic content. All AI‑generated content is manually reviewed and adjusted before release to ensure quality, consistency, and safety, and many AI outputs undergo significant hand‑editing. During game development, some NPC dialogue was first refined and translated using generative AI, after which filtering and moderation mechanisms were applied to ensure the dialogue remained safe, appropriate, and consistent with the game’s world. No unreviewed real‑time AI output is used in the game. This game uses generative AI to produce certain content, and all AI outputs are subject to human review and filtering to ensure compliance with Steam’s guidelines and the game’s content standards. No unauthorized copyrighted material is included.
Some of the artworks and music were first generated by AI, then manually revised and recreated.
OUTWORKS was developed with the help of AI-based coding assistants, which we used to write parts of the game's source code. Everything you see and hear in the game is then generated procedurally by that code — all graphics are drawn in code (SVG/CSS) and all sound is synthesized in code (Web Audio). The game contains no AI-generated image or audio assets, and no generative AI runs while you play.
Generative AI Disclosure Some visual concepts, promotional images, text drafts, and background music were created or edited with the assistance of generative AI tools. The final materials were reviewed, selected, modified, and integrated by the developer. The game does not include real-time generative AI features during gameplay.
Some artwork, character illustrations, backgrounds, music, and promotional images were created using generative AI tools and then reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game by the developer. The game does not generate AI-created images, music, text, or other content during gameplay.
This game uses generative AI in two ways: (1) AI language models (LLM) to generate character dialogue text in real-time during conversations, and (2) AI text-to-speech (TTS) technology to generate character voice audio. AI processing is handled via cloud servers or optional local models. No conversation data is stored or saved on servers. All AI-generated content is produced live based on player input.
