Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Help with localization and some coding assistance.
Translations and text content are AI-generated. Some of the UI and game backgrounds are AI generated with manual post-processing. Some of the VFX for the animations are AI generated with post-processing.
Project AIRI uses live-generated AI for player-initiated companion conversations and synthesized voice responses. In the Steam edition, these features are provided through an AIRI account and AIRI-managed services. Players cannot enter third-party API keys or configure custom AI providers. Cloud AI features require an internet connection and a free AIRI account.
Generative AI tools were used to create images, audio, and text materials used in the game and on the store page. Generated materials are reviewed, selected, edited, and adjusted by the developer before use. The game does not include any feature that live-generates AI content during gameplay.
During the development of this game, generative AI is used as a supporting tool for parts of the Japanese / English translation drafts. Final wording is reviewed and adjusted internally before being adopted.
This is a novel creation assistant tool based on artificial intelligence technology, capable of automatically generating novel outlines, chapter structures, and complete content according to user input.
This game is a detective adventure in which the player investigates a murder in a small town. An AI language model generates real-time dialogue when interacting with townspeople or interrogating suspects. The AI creates dynamic and context-appropriate conversations based on each character’s personality and the situation. All generated content is restricted to the game’s internal narrative and is filtered to prevent the inclusion of copyrighted material or inappropriate content.
Some of the narrative flavor text and commodity names were built with assistance from AI.
This game uses generative AI to assist with the translation of some localization text. The content has been reviewed and edited by the developer.
AI-assisted tools were used during development to support some early exploration and temporary development content. Any AI-assisted assets were either replaced or refined by humans in order to maintain the creative and artistic vision of the development team.
Some of the text descriptions on the game’s store page, certain in-game localization texts, and some images used in the test version were generated with the help of AI technology.
TRANSLATIONS in store page and in-game have been generated with artificial intelligence. These translations are FULLY OPTIONAL to use and you can experience the full game without any artificial intelligence by playing in the English language. I wanted to give people the possibility to experience the game in their native language, which is why this decision was made.
AI was used to generate 2D character portraits, icons, part of the music, sound effects, item descriptions text, and localization.
AI tools were used during development for assistance with English localization, parts of programming, and the creation of certain icons and visual assets. All generated content was reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the final game.
We use generative AI in a limited capacity for certain visual and written content. Generative AI may be used for: - Marketing materials, including promotional artwork, trailer graphics, and store page content. - Loading screen images and decorative in-game poster artwork. - Assistance with some written text, such as tutorials and informational content. Generative AI is not used for: - Live content generation during gameplay. - Gameplay screenshots shown on the Steam store page. - Maps, level geometry, character models, weapons, gameplay assets, game mechanics, or networking systems. - Player-generated content.
The game is mostly made by hand, ai was used for this things: 1) Translations 2) A couple of sprites and scripts 3) Composition of promo banners
As a solo indie developer, I use AI to assist with multi-language localization and the creation of some background images. This helps me provide a smoother, more accessible player experience while allowing me to focus more time on gameplay, systems, level design, and other core parts of the game.
I'm a solo developer. Without AI tools, this game would not exist — the art, music, and copy would have been unaffordable to commission and impossible for me to produce alone. AI let me focus on what I actually built by hand: the game design, the mechanics, the 181 tomes, the scoring engine, the balance, the words. What's AI-generated: • Visual art (backgrounds, character portraits, tome/scroll/blessing illustrations, store page art) — generated with AI image tools, curated and selected by me • Music — generated with AI audio tools, curated and selected by me • Some flavor text and descriptive copy — drafted with AI assistance, edited by me What's not AI: • The game itself — every system, mechanic, balance number, character design, and core decision is mine • The dictionary, the tile distributions, the scoring math, the run structure, the boss fights — hand-built • The code — written by me with the help of AI assistants the same way any modern developer uses them No AI runs at runtime. Nothing is generated for you on the fly during play. Everything you see was reviewed before it shipped.
AI tools are used in a limited capacity for language polishing and coding support. All story content, characters, and creative direction are created by the development team. No AI-generated voice acting, art, or music is used.
AI was used solely to assist with the English and Spanish translations, which were then manually reviewed by the developers. However, they may still contain errors. If you find any, please let us know.
Characters and Music is generated by AI
There's a local Large Language Model that integrates with the game's systems and is used primarily for but not limited to dialogue generation. Several other uses are planned, including localization. AI has been used for coding and in a limited capacity for creating placeholder assets that will be replaced at a later date.
Some visual assets, store assets, localization drafts, and marketing materials for SEO OR DIE were created or enhanced with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to match the game's final art direction, narrative tone, and quality standards. The game does not use real-time AI generation during gameplay.
Limited use of generative AI tools was made in the production of certain sound assets and localized text during development.
Some art assets, audio, and text translation were produced with the assistance of AI.
Based on the developer's original creative direction, AI tools were used to generate the game's store page capsule images, soundtrack, and the non-English in-game text translations. AI coding assistance supported programming during development.
Partially. Galactic Tenebris Company believes in being transparent with the people who play our games. Here is an honest account of where AI tools contributed to this production: — Some icons and UI elements, including weapon icons — Organizing and structuring the scenario, narrative documents, and dialogue across the game's four regions — Translation from Mr. M.'s private family dialect into English. All 3D models were handcrafted by the developer. No textures were AI-generated. The music and sound effects were composed and not generated by AI tools. Our position as a company is simple — we use AI only where we have no other means or resources available. Where human craft was possible, human craft was used. Every creative decision — the story, the world, the characters, the quests, the writing — was made by the developer. The scenario and dialogues were authored by the developer and organised with AI assistance. The foundation of this game is firsthand experience. That part was not written by any tool. — Mr. M., Owner of Galactic Tenebris Company
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with code, localization text, store page copy, and procedural geometric marketing assets. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.

Some music tracks in IconicQuest are generated using AI based on the developer's creative direction and prompts, then curated and edited for in-game use. Some sound effects are generated using AI. Promotional artwork on the Steam store page (capsule images) was generated with AI image tools as a creative starting point, then edited, composited with hand-crafted typography, and color-corrected by the developer in post-production. All in-game artwork, character sprites, tiles, environments, UI elements, and animations, is created entirely by the developer in Aseprite or sourced from art professionals. No AI is used for in-game pixel art. All in-game text content (quest dialogue, item names, NPC scripts, lore, and tutorials) is written by the developer and AI. No live AI generation occurs during gameplay. All AI-assisted content is finalized and shipped as static assets.

VOID RUNNER uses generative AI tools in a limited way, exclusively for pre-rendered content (never generated in real time during gameplay): — Text translations (10 languages): the in-game interface, changelog and Steam page description have been produced with AI assistance and then manually reviewed. The source text is written by the developer. — Marketing visuals: some promotional images on the Steam page (capsule art, banner) may include elements generated with AI assistance, in line with the game's art direction. All AI-assisted content is reviewed by the developer before integration. No content is generated in real time during gameplay — all assets are fixed and finalized.
Some visual, audio, and creative assets used during development were created or assisted with generative AI tools. All content was reviewed, edited, and integrated into the final game experience by the developer.
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this: We used generative AI to help create the level layouts and parts of the game code. Everything was then tweaked, edited, and put together by us. All gameplay and design decisions are fully human-made.
Beyond the Fracture contains both pre-generated and live-generated AI content. Pre-generated AI content: Some visual, audio, and voice assets were generated with AI tools during development and reviewed, edited, and curated by the developers before being included in the game. This includes selected construct opponent portraits, spoken name clips, character histories, and HERALD-7 commentary voice clips in German and English. Live-generated AI content: During first-time onboarding, the game uses external AI services to generate three candidate player identities live. Each identity includes a generated profile portrait and a generated spoken name introduction. The profile portraits are additionally guided by internal short character descriptions generated from predefined archetypes and prompt templates. This live generation is constrained by predefined prompts, fixed character archetypes, a controlled name system, and no free-form text input from players. The player selects one of the three generated identities. The chosen identity cannot be changed during the current Playtest, and repeated regeneration is not available during normal gameplay. No live AI generation occurs during normal matches after onboarding.
This game uses generative AI to improve both the development process and gameplay features. During development, AI tools were utilized to generate certain text, visual, and audio assets. All AI-generated content is reviewed and controlled to ensure it aligns with the game's design and provides a safe experience for players.
The English translation of this game was completed with AI assistance.
Most of this game is AI-generated. In-game text (UI, game names, descriptions), graphics (player icons, vector elements), code and the majority of the micro-game implementations — all AI, then reviewed and curated by the developer. Localization to all non-English languages is AI-translated. No AI runs at runtime; everything is pre-generated and shipped statically.
It uses small amount of AI for localization.
Some game and store page text or visual assets were created or refined with generative AI during development. This content is pre-generated and included in the shipped game or store materials. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services during gameplay.
