I literally use AI for every inch of this game. There is human made art here and there, but you can safely assume 90% of the game is AI.
Artificial intelligence tools were used during certain stages of the development of The Letter as supportive tools to assist the creative process. AI was primarily utilized for concept ideation, early visual references, and iterative design exploration. These tools helped accelerate prototyping, generate visual inspiration, and assist with writing drafts during early development phases. However, all core gameplay systems, narrative design, environmental storytelling, and final artistic direction were created, reviewed, and curated by the developer. AI tools were used as creative assistants rather than autonomous content generators, ensuring that the final experience remains a carefully crafted and human-directed project.
The development of the game was supported by AI in some areas to improve efficiency and quality. AI was used to write code and debug, as well as for performance optimization. It also contributed to the creation of 2D graphics for the shop area and the generation of background sounds. In addition, AI played a role in automating translations thus contributing to the realization of the game for a single developer.
The images for the steam store were created using concept images, some of which were ai-generated. And the text for the steam store page was translated using google translate. Except for english, dutch/nederlands, and german/deutsch.
AI tools were used during development to assist in creating certain game assets and content, such as visuals and text. All content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. No AI is used in real-time during gameplay. а переведи мне

This game uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) in limited aspects of its development. Some background images in the game were created with the assistance of AI tools. In addition, AI was used to help translate in-game text into multiple languages. All AI-generated content has been reviewed and integrated by the developer to ensure quality and consistency.
This project incorporates AI-assisted coding and text translation.
AI tools (Claude by Anthropic) were used during development to assist with code generation, debugging, and localization translations. All game design, financial logic, UI/UX decisions, and gameplay mechanics were created and directed by the developer. No AI-generated artwork, music, or narrative content is included in the final product.
This game uses GeminiAPI for conversations and features some photorealistic images.
Chess Master Quest was developed by a solo developer with assistance from generative AI tools during development. • Code: AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude) were used to help write and refine parts of the game code. All code was reviewed and tested by the developer. • Text: AI was used to help draft and edit some in-game text, including puzzle annotations and educational commentary. All text was reviewed and edited by the developer. No AI-generated visual art or music is used in the game. Chess piece graphics are open-source vector assets. Store capsule images and artwork were created by a professional artist. The chess engine (Stockfish) is traditional software, not generative AI. No content is generated by AI at runtime during gameplay.
Some visual and audio assets were partially generated with the help of AI tools. These elements represent a small portion of the overall content and were further edited and integrated by the developer. AI was also used to assist with minor code optimization and to translate all in-game dialogue.
Translation and some background pictures
During the Early Access versions of the game AI has and will be used as placeholders, primarily for music and text, that will slowly be phased out over time. The game will be completely AI free upon the games full version release.
Some localization and code were generated via AI
AI was used for some Chinese and Japanese translations, as well as for certain cutscenes and icons.
Our crafting system depends on AI to generate new game data when you combine a combination of items not yet seen before, so you never run out of weapons to discover and experiment with. We also generate text and sprites for any new items created. Assets for the game also use image generation: the title screen and other UI elements use generated textures and graphics. These images have been touched up by a human and reused on our Steam page also.
AI image generation tools were used to create store page artwork (capsule images, banners). AI was also used to assist with localization for 12 supported languages. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by the developer. No AI was used for in-game visual assets, sound effects, or music.
Some art and localization were aided by AI.
Generative AI tools were used during development to help create early drafts of some game-related content (for example, concept ideas and text drafts). All such content was reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer before release. The shipped game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not use any external AI services at runtime.
AI tools were used to assist with writing game narrative and event text during development. All style guides directing tone, humor, and historical relevance were created by the developer and all content was reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer.
AI is currently used for translated text.
Some of the art assets were made using gen AI and retouched by a human artist. Some of the translations were made using gen AI and reviewed by a human native speaker.
AI-assisted creation of graphics AI-assisted creation of music AI-assisted localization
Some of the text and code is generated by AI
Generative AI is used to compose the original score (instrumental VGM only. This game doesn't include vocal music) and handle the translation (primarily for Simplified Chinese version).
This game uses AI-generated content for localization. All in-game text translations are produced with the assistance of generative AI.
Game descriptions, text translations, and some images (excluding textures) are made with the assistance of artificial intelligence, while all other in-game resources are handmade
This game makes extensive use of generative artificial intelligence tools during development from concepting, writing support, assets prototyping, animation and sound design. All AI-assisted content is curated, modified, refined, and integrated by the developer to ensure artistic cohesion, gameplay integrity, and thematic consistency. The final gameplay experience is not dynamically generated by AI at runtime. The game does not use generative AI to create player-specific content during live play, and no player data is used to train AI systems. Generative AI tools were used as creative and production accelerators within a human-directed development process.
The vast majority of assets in this game were created from scratch by our team, including hand-crafted models, textures, animations, environments, and gameplay systems. However, to support our creative process and speed up certain production stages, we used generative AI tools for a limited portion of the assets. This includes some 2D/3D art elements (via AI art models), a selection of animation sequences, and certain text inscriptions or UI elements. All AI-generated content was carefully reviewed, edited, and integrated by our team to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with our vision. No live AI generation occurs during gameplay. We remain committed to delivering a polished, human-directed experience.
Automatic translation (google translate) tools are used for the translation of long texts.
This game uses AI-assisted tools in the following areas of development: Localization: Some translations were assisted or reviewed using AI language tools. Sound Effects: Some SFX were generated or prototyped using AI audio tools. No in-game visuals are using AI except the main menu art as of now. Promotional materials may still have AI generated content. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, curated, and approved by the development team. No AI content is generated at runtime.
This game analyzes and evaluates images input by the user using a Visual Language Model, and outputs the results as text. This game contains ai (grok) generated graphic assets.
During the period from Early Access to Launch this title may use AI for voice in quest dialog as placeholders, prior to launch all AI elements shall be removed should they have existed and replaced.
Generative AI was used during development to help create some game artwork, store page text, translations, capsule images, and marketing materials. All assets in this project are handcrafted, the only usage of generative AI is locally run LLM (Large Language Models), TTS (Text To Speech), and STT (Speech To Text) systems used for the optional feature of live conversation with the user created character.
Some visible in-game assets, including but not limited to cutscenes, characters, environments, and UI elements, were created or visually enhanced with the help of AI, including generation based on white model references. Some store page assets were also created or visually enhanced with the help of AI, including generation based on white model references. Some music and sound effects were generated with the help of AI. Some localized language content was translated with the help of AI.
Some development assistance tools based on generative AI were used during the creation of this game, including help with programming and text drafting. No AI-generated content is produced during gameplay.
Using AI tools to generate translated text and image textures.
This game uses AI to assist in generating [art assets/localized text/voice dubbing]. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed and modified to ensure compliance with regulations and the game's world setting.
We are a small studio with only six people actively involved in development. For teams like ours, generative AI is a supportive tool that helps us realize a creative vision that would otherwise be completely out of reach within our budget. Here is exactly how we utilized generative AI in our game: • We used generative AI during the prototyping and concept art phases. Every AI-generated image was manually modified, iterated upon, and finalized by our artist. • The sea shanties in the game feature AI-generated vocals and music, but the lyrics are original and written by our team. • Certain voice-over (VO) lines were generated using AI.
I'm building this game on my own, with generative AI tools as finishing and scaling assistants on top of my own creative foundations. 3D mech and monster meshes started as my own concept sketches; Meshy AI generated the base 3D models from those sketches, which I then refined and animated myself in Blender. Character voices began as dialogue I wrote and the tone I set — some are my own voice recordings, and for others I used ElevenLabs to alter the voices so they fit each character. Music tracks each started from vocal melody references I recorded; Lyria (through Gemini) developed those references into the final orchestrated tracks. Cinematic video sequences were generated by Veo3 from my prompts and storyboards, then fully edited by me in DaVinci Resolve. I review every AI output before it ships in the game, and I hold commercial-use rights to all generated content per each service's paid-subscription terms.
This game was developed by a solo developer with the assistance of generative AI tools during production. AI tools such as ChatGPT were used as a development aid for Unreal Engine guidance, technical explanations, spell-checking, and drafting some in-game text and UI messaging. ChatGPT was also used to generate some placeholder images and audio assets during early development. Some 3D models and textures were created using AI-assisted tools such as Tripo3D.ai. These assets may be refined, replaced, or improved over time as the project evolves and budget allows. All gameplay systems, mechanics, design decisions, Blueprint scripting, and overall game implementation were created and assembled by the developer. No AI system autonomously generated gameplay code or core systems. Additional assets were purchased through the Unreal Engine Fab Marketplace where noted. AI tools were used strictly as production assistants to support solo development.
This game uses artificial intelligence for translations into Spanish, German, Italian, and Simplified Chinese.
