Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Game art may contain some generative AI aspects.
Some backgrounds are taken from the Futuristic Anime Backgrounds Pack that is AI-generated.
Most art in the game is AI generated then edited.
Time Shock is hand-built by a solo developer. The design, gameplay, levels, writing, and world are all made by hand. AI tools play a limited supporting role only — used to tweak character voices, assist and refine artwork, and add lip-sync to dialogue. Everything is reviewed and finished by hand before it ships.
AI was used to assist with game localization, and create certain user interface elements.
If your ingame choices are inconsistent or raise moral questions, you’ll have to justify them in writing. An AI will read your defense and decide whether it counts as a solution. Convince it — because its verdict carries real consequences in the game.
The Logo art was created with A.I tools.

AI-generated art objects
Used for Early Access placeholders, and is intended to be replaced with more development time. AI generation was used for some voices and some 2D images within the game. These assets are intended to be replaced with ones created by human artists.
Some audio assets and store/marketing visuals were generated or assisted using AI during development. All gameplay content is static — no AI content is generated at runtime.
Use AI for make in game music.
During the development of this game, AI-generative content was used to create auxiliary interface elements, some icons and character voice acting.
I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. They are locally generated using Stable diffusion, without resorting to paying any generative AI company. Although paying them could have given me better tools and results, I decided not to pay for their use to support the claim of artists for fair royalties. (It is not possible to discuss such a complex issue here, but I will consider opening a discussion on the topic in the game forum, follow my game to be notified if it is created) Most of the artistic content in the game, mainly music, is compensated in various ways depending on the case to its artists. My original content is registered, but the images generated by AI are essentially treated as 'creative commons' and I consider them fanarts of my characters. All added scenes and backgrounds are of high quality and maintain good coherence, avoiding deformities in hands, eyes, etc., and without annoying or confusing shapes. All AI-generated images are generated, selected, and edited exclusively by me, the creator of the game, to reflect my original vision, previously inaccessible due to high costs. I have sought to include only select content that enriches the narrative and immersion of the game.
Infrequent usage of placeholder character art, to be replaced as funding allows.
The voice acting for some characters and some images were created using AI.
During the beta phase of Steel Hunters, we may use AI-generated voices for certain in-game characters, including the announcer, to support our development process. The majority of the voices in the game are performed by real voice actors, and AI-generated voices will be replaced with human voices before the official launch. This helps us focus on delivering the best experience while the game is still in development.
Traxion 3 uses AI-generated voices for in-game characters.
The vast majority of the game is handcrafted. AI tools were used to assist in the creation of 2D character dialogue portraits and some minor environment textures.
We use a limited amount of pre-rendered AI generated content in our game. The background announcers in the hub and gameplay announcer were made using text to speech generation.
As a solo developer I use AI assistance to generate graphics and audio content for my games and marketing material. No generative text is used.

AI-Powered Cinematics & Immersion To bring the world of The Hive Pandemic to life, we’ve integrated cutting-edge AI technology to enhance both visuals and audio. 🎙️ AI Voice Generation – Leveraging Eleven Labs, we crafted realistic, emotive voice performances that breathe life into our characters, from the cold directives of corporate leaders to the haunting whispers of the Hive. 🎵 AI-Generated Music & Soundscapes – Using Suno, we designed dynamic, immersive soundscapes that evolve with the game’s intense action and eerie mind sequences. 🎨 AI-Assisted Cutscenes – Our art editor, combined with AI enhancements, has helped create stunning cinematic sequences, blending hand-crafted art with AI-powered refinements for a truly unique visual experience. By combining traditional artistry with AI-driven tools, The Hive Pandemic delivers a deeply atmospheric, story-rich experience that blurs the line between technology and creativity—just like the world it portrays.
This game was initially developed without using Artificial Intelligence. Later, I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. One of the Voice Actor's performances was digitally altered using AI tools.
The 2D character portraits (standing illustrations) in the game were created using Stable Diffusion and are provided under the CreativeML Open RAIL-M license.
The game uses AI-generated illustrations and character voices. The promotional images for the game were generated by ChatGPT.
This game features voice-over content partially created through AI voice generation tools.
We leveraged AI-generated content to enrich our game with elements that would have been otherwise challenging to include. Specifically, we used AI for the AI character voiceover in different languages, a feature made possible thanks to this technology. In this case it made even more sense since the character is actually an AI. Otherwise, all the core art and visual elements of the game have been designed by human talents.
In order to empower a single developer to achieve results that would otherwise not be possible, the developer utilizes a variety of AI tools to help in the creation of specific texture designs, translations as well as incorporating text-to-speech voice models for voice narration within the game.
