Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

The AI was used to work with some animations
Some graphic assets, text translations, and voice conversion materials in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI.

- 1 of the 8 optional title themes is alleged to have used AI - even though the band insists otherwise, offered up the track a year before this project existed, and refused any payment for doing so. You can interrogate them on the matter here: https://www.bandlab.com/track/390bf936d0be49dda14dd68c125d500f_2a98d8102c85406ab4e8fdfbfe0cbda5 Had I used AI myself, I like to think I'd take the opportunity to produce something more relevant than muttering "there are people who will never change" on a loop. I bought the rights to the other 7 themes in 2016, so it's unthinkable they used AI. - I invested tens of thousands of dollars in professional assets from the Unity Asset Store - most of which again pre-date AI, or otherwise give assurances that it was not used. - The "Infinite Lives" logo dates back to the iOS release of 2017, where using AI would have put a terrible strain on the space-time continuum. - AI helped to depict the zombie fist in more of a comic book style and then upscale it to a higher resolution. The intention was to create an "other-worldly" art style that is deliberately distinct from the developer's own 2D or 3D. There was supposed to be a new cover every month like a real comic series. - AI helped to construct a legal argument for the release of a customizable superhero sim, citing precedents and loopholes that the developer was not familiar with. - My accountant may have used a calculator to calculate how much money we lost by releasing 2 games for the price of 1.
A small percentage of textures had some post processing using generative AI.
Some code and design decisions, aswell as store page assets were lightly assisted by AI tools. All game logic and implementation were written, reviewed, and tested by the developer.
Some visual concepts, store art assets, and most of the gameplay scripting were created with the assistance of AI tools to support solo development and explore creative ideas more efficiently. All final in-game content has been reviewed, tested, and implemented manually.
Artificial Intelligence was generated in the creation of certain in-game graphics and marketing banners, and there may also be some AI-generated dialogue in the game.
Using AI technology in the game development process, there is no real-time AI performance in the game
AI is used in some audio and visual components.
Some of the images, as well as all the music in the game, were created using AI.
The game uses AI to create card images, but does not use AI to generate game content in real time.
If there are not enough players to start a game, AI bots will temporarily join the game until more players join. AI will generate bot phrases and vote on user-created phrases.
Parts of the artwork were enhanced with the help of AI.
Game voice acting and "absurdometer" image
Some materials were generated by AI and manually modified.
Chibi Wars: Deep State currently uses 3d models and images (such as posters) that have been generated using AI. Our goal is with funding to replace all aspects of models or images produced by AI with products created by real people. I suck at art, so until I can pay someone to make it for me (no one works for free) I have to use AI models and posters (decals).
AI was used to polish marketing images and dubbing.
Some photos in the game are generated using AI.
Some visuals in the game (e.g., background art and character illustrations) were created using AI tools during development. These were inspired by public domain material and were edited extensively. No AI is used during gameplay or to generate real-time content.
For ingame music and introductory voiceover.

AI‑generated background images, sprite assets, and text are used.
Used AI generated code, text, and images.
Character designs are created manually by artists and writers, but we use AI to speed up the drawing of details.
AI was used in the following ways: - Translation into some languages - Creation of images for the Steam store - Improvement of animation
all the pictures are generated by artificial intelligence.

Some of the visual assets featured in our game have been created using AI-powered tools. We believe in blending human creativity with cutting-edge technology to deliver a unique visual experience. While most of the game’s art is handcrafted by our team, select elements were enhanced or generated with the help of AI to push artistic boundaries and streamline production. Thank you for your continued support and feedback!

This game uses AI-assisted tools in the development of art assets. As a solo indie developer, I utilize AI to enhance workflow efficiency while maintaining creative direction and manual refinement of all final assets.
Some visual and voice assets in this game were created with the assistance of AI tools and were manually refined to match the game’s artistic style and narrative tone. The story is adapted from a previously written novel by renowned online author “NetSoul,” originally published on a major literary platform. It is not AI-generated, ensuring narrative depth and a strong human perspective. The game contains no real-time AI-generated content.
Some skill icons are generated using AI.
The main character's dialogue is created with real human performances from the developer and altered with an Elevenlabs voice changer to change the timbre.
For the voice content in my game, I used a generative AI tool, ElevenLabs, to create the voice of the cat. However, after generating the voice, I modified and adjusted it to match the tone and specific needs of my game. No other form of AI-generated content is used in the development of the game.
The game's soundtrack has been enhanced using AI tools. Some of the marketing material images have been enhanced using AI tools.
I'm a solo dev, mostly a programmer, not an artist. So I used AI to generate some of the images used in the game, then refined them to look a bit better. Hopefully, it won't affect the gameplay experience too much.
The only use of AI is the Store Page art. This is a temporary placeholder.
We’ve been working since 2009 (when the Bot Colony concept was unveiled at GDC) on a game where players can say ANYTHING to a character and be understood. Adding a Generative AI component to our proprietary dialogue technology enables us to make the dream come true.
