Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some of the abnormal phenomena in this game include AI-generated content.
Часть музыкального сопровождения в игре создана с использованием инструмента SUNO. Шрифт логотипа был изменен с помощью инструментов генеративного ИИ.
AI-assisted tools were used to generate and refine some store page text and certain visual assets. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by the developer. No AI is used for live content generation during gameplay or for processing player data.
A part of references for artworks was generated using AI. Some music tracks, interface and environment sounds may contain samples generated by AI. There is no AI content in its unprocessed, "raw" form.
AI is used to translate the store page.
Some sound effects and portions of the music soundtrack were created using AI-assisted audio tools. AI is used only as a creative aid for generating and polishing audio assets; it does not affect gameplay, player data, or in-game decision making.
The images for the page have been slightly improved.
Some in-game resources were created using generative AI.
We've used AI to generate all of the voice acting for the characters in the game. However, it was also heavily manually edited and remastered by our team members (100% humans guaranteed) before reaching your ears.
This is used for the 3D models and their textures within the game.
Some visual, audio, and writing assets in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools during development. Every AI-assisted element was carefully reviewed, manually edited, and significantly refined by the development team before being added to the final game or its marketing materials. No AI systems generate or alter content while the game is running.
We use AI for pre-rendered backgrounds; all other assets are handmade.
We used AI tools during the development process solely to assist in writing standard game scripts (coding assistance) and to generate musical notation for some background tracks. The game does not use any AI generation in real-time; all assets are pre-made.
Some marketing images (e.g. Steam header and capsule art) were partially AI-assisted and later manually edited.
We use AI in early conceptual design, to figure out an appropriate background art. We then go through several iterations manually with artist modifications, to produce a good, highly polished background that gels well with our characters, story and intended art style. Our characters are hand drawn by humans. Our objects are hand drawn by humans. All user interface (UI) elements are hand drawn by humans. All animations are hand drawn and meticulously rigged (also by humans) using bone animation.
There is an optional 100% local and open source AI to create an antagonistic voice taunting the player based on their actions, which can be disabled entirely.
AI technology is used in in some promotional materials.
Generative AI is used to generate texture of certain models
Some visual and audio assets in Somnolence were created or enhanced using AI-assisted tools during development, such as generative image and voice synthesis software. All content has been manually reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to fit the game’s narrative and aesthetic design. The game itself does not generate or modify content in real time.
Using artificial intelligence: Some famous games (example, lyrics, partial usage, and musical accompaniment) were created to promote technological progress. The lecture, one way or another, is dedicated to (OpenAI) and Mubert. This helped expand the creative possibilities and add a unique atmosphere, while maintaining full creative control on the part of the developer.

Logo was generated with AI.
I use it to review my code for efficiency and to spark inspiration for some art. It also helps with generating secondary or background art elements, but the core creative work and vision are all mine!
As a solo developer, I've used AI to generate a number of 3d models, textures, and images. Most have been modified after their generation to some extent.
AI-assisted tools were used during development for prototyping and reference purposes, including code, visuals, and audio. All such materials were manually reviewed and approved by the development team. The final game does not rely on AI-generated content during gameplay.
Generation of UI elements and music
Some visual and audio assets in this game were partially created or enhanced using generative AI tools under the developer’s supervision. All content has been reviewed and edited manually to ensure it fits the artistic style and atmosphere of the game. The game itself does not generate or use AI content in real time.
Paintings were generated with AI.
The background of characters in some promotional materials utilizes AI technology. 3D modeling will be employed to create backgrounds in the game.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
All assets are generated using AI tools. The gameplay utilizes LLM models to simulate a debate.
AI is used to translate the store page.
Part of Non-Interactable Visual Novel Background Pictures
This game uses AI-assisted tools during development to support the creation of assets such as text polishing, 3D models, textures, and sprites. AI was used as a creative aid for pre-rendered content and visual elements, but it does not generate live gameplay, or player-driven content. All final assets are reviewed, refined, and integrated by the development team.
Super Real AI reverses the traditional use of artificial intelligence. Instead of AI serving humans, humans now serve AI. A local LLM powers simulated users who constantly send unpredictable queries—while real players, acting as AI workers, must respond, classify, and adapt. It’s not a game using AI; it’s a game about using AI.
Generated images for some paintings and photographs using AI.
We use AI for Generated Image Capsule
A.I. generation was used in the creation of promotional materials via leonardo.ai (that's TOS permits commercial use) with custom inputs and subsequent tweaking with other art tools like GIMP as well as some sounds/audio via https://elevenlabs.io/ (also permitted for commercial use) then often modified in Audacity, but all images/videos/dialog/story in game are not the product of AI generation.
AI was used for making translations
Was used for generate voice acting.
AI was used in the storyline.
AI is used for the person in the capsule image.
This game makes limited use of generative Artificial Intelligence strictly to support the creation of certain pre-rendered assets, such as visual concepts, object drafts, and artistic reference material. All AI-assisted content was subsequently edited, refined, and manually integrated by the development team. AI is not used to generate content dynamically during gameplay, nor does it create dialogues, decisions, code, or any element that affects the player's real-time experience. The final game—its story, mechanics, core art, lighting, audio, and all interactive systems—was created manually. AI was used only as a creative support tool during development, fully respecting copyright, ethical guidelines, and Steam policies.
We have utilized AI-assisted design for the store materials and some 2D background images within the game. However, these are not purely AI-generated; they are based on our original photographs that were enhanced using AI technology, and subsequently refined manually to ensure quality.
The game features certain textures generated with the help of AI, as well as concept art created using AI tools.
This game does not generate content during gameplay. AI was used only to create title and logo art.
In the game, photorealistic images on posters and on a book were created using AI.
We use generative AI across all disciplines of game development with heavy amounts of human editing. That involves audio and visual art. We use it as a productivity tool so we can achieve a higher level of quality, faster, than we would have been able to.
Some 3D models were created with generative AI tools and then added into the game.
This game is a visual novel, and the majority of the images featured in the game were created using AI-assisted tools. All generated visuals have been selected, edited, and finalized by the developer to fit the narrative and artistic direction of the game. AI-assisted tools were also used during the writing and editing process of the game’s text, particularly for language refinement, consistency, and quality control. Translations of the game into languages other than Turkish will be produced using AI-assisted translation tools. The game does not contain any dynamically generated AI content presented to the player in real time during gameplay.
