Public Steam disclosure research 25,514 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The card UI artwork in the game was created with AI-generated technology.
The cutscenes in the game featured AI-generated voice acting.
Some visual assets were created using generative AI tools as part of the concept art process, then refined and finalized by human artists. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
During the development, we used generative AI on our capsule image and code-completion AI agents such as CoPilot.
AI is used for translation.
We used A.I. in some assets of our game.
Some graphic assets, text translations, and voice conversion materials in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI.
It is using IA to generate game image and adjust some translations
We used AI to create the capsules for the game's store page and several assets in the game
The 3D cat models, cat and achievement graphics, and background music used in our game were generated using AI and subsequently modified by us. Additionally, AI support was utilized in the creation of some of the text within the game and achievements.
The game's menu visuals, menu background music, store images, and soundtrack were generated using AI tools before being added to the game and store.
Some image materials and coding assistance Translation
We used AI to create drawings on the wall only. Detailed in "About This Game" section.
In this game, AI is used during the development process to pre-generate 3D objects such as buildings. No AI is used to generate content during gameplay.
As a solo developer, I used AI to create some textures and marketing art (e.g., Steam capsule images) for the Dartmour: Tablets of the Ancients demo, as well as for coding assistance during development. The demo does not use AI for live-generated content or code during gameplay. The future full game, The Tablets of the Ancients: Chapter I - Dartmour, will feature an LLM to enhance dynamic storytelling, with details to follow closer to release.
We used AI to translate this store page.
- 1 of the 8 optional title themes is alleged to have used AI - even though the band insists otherwise, offered up the track a year before this project existed, and refused any payment for doing so. You can interrogate them on the matter here: https://www.bandlab.com/track/390bf936d0be49dda14dd68c125d500f_2a98d8102c85406ab4e8fdfbfe0cbda5 Had I used AI myself, I like to think I'd take the opportunity to produce something more relevant than muttering "there are people who will never change" on a loop. I bought the rights to the other 7 themes in 2016, so it's unthinkable they used AI. - I invested tens of thousands of dollars in professional assets from the Unity Asset Store - most of which again pre-date AI, or otherwise give assurances that it was not used. - The "Infinite Lives" logo dates back to the iOS release of 2017, where using AI would have put a terrible strain on the space-time continuum. - AI helped to depict the zombie fist in more of a comic book style and then upscale it to a higher resolution. The intention was to create an "other-worldly" art style that is deliberately distinct from the developer's own 2D or 3D. There was supposed to be a new cover every month like a real comic series. - AI helped to construct a legal argument for the release of a customizable superhero sim, citing precedents and loopholes that the developer was not familiar with. - My accountant may have used a calculator to calculate how much money we lost by releasing 2 games for the price of 1.
Some art assets are made with AI
Some visual assets used in the game and on this Steam page were created with the assistance of AI-generated imagery. These elements have been significantly modified and manually edited to align with the game's overall art direction and art style.
In this game, conversations with NPCs are powered by generative AI. You can freely ask questions to villagers, and their responses are dynamically generated by AI on the spot. Each character’s personality and background knowledge of the mystery are taken into account, allowing for natural dialogue and unique testimonies. All AI-generated responses are carefully restricted to stay consistent with the game’s world and narrative, ensuring the mystery remains coherent and immersive. Talking to AI characters is a key part of solving the case — gather clues, uncover keywords, and enjoy the thrill of free-form deduction as you get closer to the truth.
Some visual assets (such as the logo and a few textures), as well as the store page summary, were created using generative AI tools. No generative AI is used in real-time gameplay.

Uses AI generated images
This game includes limited content generated using artificial intelligence. Only certain image assets (such as logos and interface elements) and some text translations were created with AI tools. The entire game design, structure, and all 3D models were fully created by human. No AI-generated content includes real people or synthetic voices. All AI-generated elements have been reviewed and integrated in an ethical and transparent manner.
AI-assisted tools were used to upscale and enhance some in-game textures, to help add visual detail to the original artwork. All final assets were artist-reviewed and then integrated by the development team
The game has used chatgpt's image model with no artist prompts used. The game uses udio for the music.
In-game background art.
The game's music, art, and shader assets are supported by generative artificial intelligence. Pee Wee the Polka Dotted Pig and his jingle are copyright of PineyWoods Corner, LLC. Music and imagery is used with permission.
A few minor decals and minor texture details are generated with AI and then hand-painted onto props.
Some of the game's visual assets—such as expedition events and rewards—were assisted by AI during creation and carefully refined by human to deliver a rich and engaging adventure experience for players.
A small percentage of textures had some post processing using generative AI.
Generative AI was used to generate the style of the images of the decorative flags you will see in game but they come from real images.
The Steam Capsule Art is AI generated
AI was used to help create the game’s music. All other game content was created by our team.
The game's two characters have been generated with AI.
AI-generated artifacts
AI-generated artifacts
The menu art currently is AI generated. I am working with an artist for new menu art.
AI is used for text to image generation.
Cosmetics like logos
Some of the game's and store's visual content was initially created using AI, with significant rework and editing by myself. This content is intended to be replaced in future versions once there's a budget for a professional illustrator.
The capsule images on the store and library pages were prepared with artificial intelligence.
This game uses generative AI to create Japanese voiceovers and some logo designs. All AI-generated content was reviewed and approved by the developer to ensure it fits the game’s tone and quality standards.
Some code and design decisions, aswell as store page assets were lightly assisted by AI tools. All game logic and implementation were written, reviewed, and tested by the developer.
Generative AI was used for some of the music and textures.
AI was used to create some of the pictures and 3d models.
I used AI to generate promotional images for the Steam page and to upscale several in-game textures used within the game.
Placeholder AI-generated unit voice-lines in current playtest build, no AI usage targeted for final release build.
The use of AI for Come To An End is for the AI voice for the evil AI villain in game. I also am using a placeholder AI generated mesh for one of the monsters (Cytaur). This could change through the game’s development process rolling to release.
We used generative AI during development to draft some artwork. The game does not generate content at runtime and players cannot create AI content. All assets are cleared for copyright and policy-compliant commercial use.
