Public Steam disclosure research 25,514 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I receive suggestions on how to further optimize the existing code. I also use it for translations into languages other than English and Turkish.
Includes title logo arrangement and sound arrangement.
We use generative AI as a supportive tool—drafting boilerplate code, polishing in-game and marketing texts, and creating initial translations—then our team refines and validates every output to ensure the final content is high-quality, authentic, and true to our vision.
I am using plus licensed ChatGPT AI in order to create some of the Image elements.
Our game uses generative AI exclusively for creating synthetic sounds and voiceovers. These AI-generated audio elements are entirely artificial and are not based on or identifiable with any real individual. We do not use AI for gameplay, narrative, or character design—only for enhancing the audio experience.
AI has been used to generate store page elements only.
We use AI tools during development for concept exploration and texture generation only.
AI has assisted with code development, some textures, and several icons.
We apply artificial intelligence to enhance original materials in 2D content, such as character avatars and loading screens. Initially, we capture a screenshot of the staging scene within the game. Subsequently, this screenshot undergoes processing using artificial intelligence while preserving all key proportions and details of the original material. Following this, our artists conduct final processing if necessary.
The game may contain AI-generated sounds and images.
AI was used to assist with the translation of in-game text (localization) into different languages. The original narrative, dialogues, and all visual assets were created by humans.
Fallen Hunter uses AI voice technology via Resemble AI to bring its characters to life with natural, immersive performances. This enhances the emotional depth of the story and helps create a more cinematic experience.
We used AI-based image generation tools to create our visual assets (store banners, concept art, and some in-game backgrounds). Voice performances were recorded manually, then processed with AI audio tools to enhance and modulate the actor’s voice (e.g. adjusting thickness and tone). No generative AI is used during actual gameplay or to create code or dialogue in real time.
AI assistance is used sparingly.
The game may include AI-generated background music. This decision is currently under consideration and will be clearly communicated in the final release.
Some promotional images are generated by AI, but AI-generated content or code will not be used in real time during the game.
AI was used to enhance realism
Select marketing assets underwent AI-assisted pre-generation during the creation process, with all content strictly adhering to the game's authentic representation and containing no misleading depictions or fabricated elements.
DuoQ. uses on-device transcription, activated by the player via push-to-talk, to transcribe the player's voice. That transcription is sent directly to a cloud LLM, which tells Tala what action to take next. All transcription data is discarded immediately after use.
We’re just a small team of broke developers using AI to help us code
To ease up the production there was AI used to generate a few minor models in the game and enhance the visual appearance of pre-rendered graphics.
We used AI rendered images as reference for creating the main character of the game, and narrative and visual hints of other AI created characters.
During the development of this game, AI tools were used to assist with brainstorming and some scripting support. However, all game content, design, and decisions were fully created and controlled by human developers.
Generative AI was utilized during development to create Steam capsule designs, in-game UI assets, and the trailer music. All assets produced using AI are fully owned and licensed for commercial use by us.
AI generated content for store/UI assets
Some of the game's visual elements were created using AI tools during the development stage (for example, the design of Albums). Artists manually refined all such materials. Generative AI is not used in the gameplay and does not generate any content during the game.

The only AI generated content is some text for the store page About the Game and description section using ChatGPT.
In-game cards, decorative decals and textures were created using AI tools during development. No AI is used during gameplay.
AI was used for enhancing promo-art for the game. Software using AI algorithms was also used to create part of the game's soundtrack.

AI Usage Disclosure Some visual assets on this store page (such as promotional art or background images) were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools. These assets are used for illustrative and stylistic purposes only and do not represent in-game graphics or content. All gameplay systems, characters, and environments in the game itself are handcrafted by the development team.
This game contains AI-generated assets. Specifically, the main menu background image and some in-game icons were created using generative AI. These assets were edited and are used exclusively for this game. Additionally, AI-generated voice lines are used for speaking bandit characters. The voice files were created specifically for this game and edited accordingly. It is possible that an external text-to-speech service was used, but I can no longer confirm which one. To the best of my knowledge, all usage rights are respected.

Artificial intelligence tools were utilized solely in the creation of certain promotional materials, including the game logo and Steam library artwork.
Our game partially uses AI assistance to generate some of the in-game images, 3D models, and game content text. Additionally, AI is used to help create promotional artwork and copy. AI also assists in parts of the program code.
Some background and UI art was generated with generative-AI tools and then hand-retouched. No AI is used for voices or gameplay code
As a very small indie team, we embrace artificial intelligence as a supportive tool in our creative process, while carefully respecting artists and their work. We use AI only as reference material to inspire and inform our designs, never as a replacement for human creativity. This thoughtful approach to AI assistance helps our indie studio deliver quality game design despite limited resources, allowing us to focus our passion where it matters most. Without the large teams or budgets of major studios, this balanced collaboration between human artistry and responsible AI use enables us to refine our distinctive style and solve design challenges efficiently. The result is a lovingly crafted experience that maintains our unique creative vision while honoring the artistic community that inspires us.
