Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Only the player characters portraits and spell/ability icons were created with generative AI.
The only use of AI gen tools were for the backgrounds on the Store page images. Nowhere else is AI used. Certainly not anywhere in the actual Game itself. Any and all Images in the game itself have been rendered directly out of the game project without any sort of AI gen tools in the process whatsoever.
This game may use AI players to makeup team members in in-game multiplayer match.
Currently uses an AI narrator for accessibility for event related text while in early access in hopes to get a full voice actor on release.
During the development process, we might utilize procedural and AI-driven tools to assist with content creation. However, the final product always showcases the creativity and expression of our development team.
At the time we launched in Early Access, item art, UI art, and 2D environment art was AI-sourced. We have now replaced all of these with hand-drawn art. Please note that, as of writing, the trailer on the store page shows a previous version of the game with AI-generated UI assets, though it is still highly representative of what the game currently looks like. Please view the screenshots at the top of the page and the gifs on the store page to see what the game looks like currently with no AI-generated assets in it.

AI tools were used to generate translations for in-game text and store page content.
AI is used to generate daily puzzle levels using a procedural generation algorithm. However, no AI was used to generate any art asset content for Crabity.

Our studio logo was generated by AI.
i generate text, pictures and speach with AI
AI was used to make the Loadingscreens as well as the cover image of the game.
Generative AI is used solely during development for supplemental, non-essential purposes, including unit testing or the creation of certain art elements. These AI-generated outputs are limited in scope, reviewed by our development team, and never substituted human creative or technical decision-making. All final core assets and game content are created entirely by Wargaming’s artists and developers.
In the early stages of game development, we utilized AI technology to generate NPC voice-overs, scene skyboxes, and song covers to enhance the gaming experience. Based on user feedback, we will consider making optimizations and replacements in the official release. We look forward to your valuable input!
We use AI to create the images in the game
Tickle Monster has used the Midjourney AI service to generate most of the images shown in the game. In particular, the 650+ player images were generated using heavily pixelated and manually-edited composite images as source material, and mascots were generated from text inputs. None of the text content is AI-generated, though. For more on the process used to generate player images, see this blog post: https://www.ticklemonster.com.au/2023/06/14/photobashing-game-assets-via-midjourney/
During the development process, we may use procedural and AI-based tools to assist in content creation. In all of these cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team. Examples include voiceover audio, badges, and calling cards.
Used for marketing assets only
we use Ai for baner or our game
We use text-to-speech AI to build our voice lines in game.
AI was used to generate base sprites for the game and I modified those images to the games needs.
UI icons
This game relies on AI to underpin its procedural image and functionality generation systems (the systems that allow for personalised creatures and their effects).
Some store page elements are generated by AI.
- Memes in the pictures are drawn with AI - Music in the player on the map is generated with AI
Our design team used generative AI to create preliminary concept images to effectively communicate ideas with our art team. However, all of the final game artwork was crafted by our human artists without the use of AI
In Project ZETA, AI-generated content is actively utilized across various domains, including animation, sound, character design, and VFX. However, such content is employed solely to enhance development efficiency; all final art assets are meticulously reviewed and completed by designers to align with the project’s creative direction.
AI was used for generation of players' faces and in-game logos.
Some of our artwork is placeholder AI. We have decided to use AI art to allow us to quickly test cards and features that are rapidly changing. We consider AI art as a development tool and not as a substitute for talented artists. We respect the concerns the community has about the use of AI artwork and plan to remove all AI art from the game as cards and features become locked. This means AI art will be removed iteratively during Early Access, with Village Studio committed to it being completely removed by full launch.
Only game logo
Used for image illustrations, icons, etc.
We use AI to pre-generate some in-game banners and icons. Some of this generated content is used as reference and then modified by our in-house art team.
Most of the voices you hear in-game come directly from our friends and the development team. We used AI for a few characters, but we plan to replace them with professional voice actors as soon as we can.
Some textures in Candy Bandits were initially generated using AI tools and then manually edited and adjusted by our artists to meet our design and quality standards. No generative AI is used during gameplay or player interaction.
We use AI tools to help us develop the game faster, mainly for coding purposes.
Static 2D art, such as background images, are AI generated.
IA was use to create images and textures (https://starryai.com/app/create) Everything is mad by human
Mostly AI generated Images
The game banner was generated with AI based on a screenshot taken from our game. We chose a graphical style different from the one in-game. We also used IA to generate musics for our game.
Artificial intelligence was used both for multilingual translation and for creating the DLC illustrations.
I Had A Plan! uses human-made sprites and assets, but uses AI to transform voices for most (non narrator/GM) characters. These were still recorded by the developer, but then transformed to sound like other people using AI. AI was also used to lip sync those voices.
In TACTICS UNLIMITED, we use AI-generated, realistic-looking photos for male and female players. These images are displayed on the player profile or on the staff screen, for example.
In this game Akpala, there is a feature that allows players to converse with NPC characters during gameplay. For the responses to the player's voice input, we use AI-generated text.
DeepVoice(from the unity asset store) asset is used to pre-generate some of the character voices in the game and in one of the trailers
As an indie developer, we use AI tools for translating the game, generating some textures, and for audio-related tasks, such as creating sound files and voice recordings.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team. Examples include voiceover audio where we utilize text-to-speech tools to e.g. generate the audio of our in-game commentators Scotty & June.
