Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some artwork in Deal of the Dead Final Cut was created with the assistance of OpenArt AI software.
The game features narrative scenes where speech texts appear in front of an image. The background images during the narrative scenes were created by artificial intelligence. Some songs on the soundtrack were also done by A.I. As a solo developer, this feature was essential for the project's realization.
The visualisation of the characters for dialog portraits is accomplished with the help of AI generated imaging.
We used AI-generated images as a basis for some of the images on the store page and made manual modifications
This game currently features AI-generated voiceovers to bring its characters and story to life. As a solo developer working on my first project, this was the most feasible option during development. A post-release roadmap will be published, where I plan to transition to fully voiced lines by real voice actors as soon as resources allow.
I will use AI to create pre rendered images to enhance the game's image quality.
Unyha uses AI to generate stories about the players' characters, their heirlooms, and the world.
The game does not contain AI generated content. All art, music, sound effects and all other assets are crafted by human hands. The intro video on the store page contains an AI generated voice.
AI content is used to generate some promotional material such as some art work/concepts, and art for our logo.
We used generative AI tools to create code, concept art, pixel art sprites, background environments, and store page graphics. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by our team. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
AI was used for grammar support and translations into other languages. All in-game content is either developer-made or licensed from purchased assets.
Some card & store page artwork are ai assisted.

We use AI to proof read and sometimes edit our Lore texts
When Born In Reverie is released in full, around 5% of the code base will be AI generated snippets. All illustrations, UI elements, soundtracks, dialogue, sprite designs, etc. will be human-created. -AI image generation was used for ideation on a small number of designs. What this actually means in practice is that AI images were created, modified, and then sent to real artists to serve as reference material in their work. The final illustrations and designs, were created by artists. -To improve productivity, the development of Born in Reverie utilized AI tools for coding/programming support, and AI scaling algorithms to up/down sample a small number of human-created assets. Born in Reverie DOES NOT live produce anything in-game via AI generation. -As an indie developer, I am unable to supervise the work of all the freelancers I work with and cannot guarantee their work is entirely AI free. If anyone I work with is found to produce content with significant AI usage, I will be removing their content and credits from the game and replacing their content with proper human artistry. Above all else, Born in Reverie values human artistry and seeks to create something genuine and authentic for players to experience.
The Maze on the Cover was generated with A.I.
Pre-generated AI images
AI was used to generate store page images and in-game loading screens including the logo. AI was also used to revise some dialogue.
In our game, AI is a powerful ally that has significantly increased our productivity. It helps us create new scenarios, which are then refined by our art team, allowing us to offer an expanded variety of playable environments for players. Additionally, we plan to integrate AI-generated dialogues to dub the game into multiple languages. This dubbing process would be impossible for our small studio without AI support. With this approach, we aim to make our game accessible to a global audience and provide a localized and authentic gaming experience in different languages. In summary, AI plays a crucial role in our development process, enabling our small studio to achieve great feats and provide players with a rich and immersive experience.
I am using AI for the NPC and narrator voice. Also some NPC portraits, and a few other 2D elements. Also some of the store assets like the box art.
AI-generated content has been used and then edited by our team for certain parts of the in-game voices, music, and graphics. This content is included in: ・Some parts of the background signboard textures ・Some parts of the Records images ・Some parts of the InfoCast videos ・Some parts of the voices and music
Character portraits were made using AI. The two paintings in the main menu in the background are also AI generated. Intro movie contains AI images.
Mostly AI generated Images
The game banner was generated with AI based on a screenshot taken from our game. We chose a graphical style different from the one in-game. We also used IA to generate musics for our game.
遊戲裡有幾張惡搞的虛構電視劇畫面的圖片
I have used AI art generation for some of the game's assets.
- Capsule images: The images were created by a professional artist who partially used AI - Title screen: The background image on the title screen was partially AI generated
AI tools were used in the production process of some graphical assets. In these cases AI is mainly used as a middleman to add detail between first drafts and final product. AI was used to assist with minor code segments and some dialogue lines.
Nothorian is an original work developed by our creative team. Some artwork and promotional text were assisted by AI tools (GPT) during development. No AI content is generated during gameplay, and all content has been carefully reviewed and adapted by humans. We use it as a support tool for some things (as almost everyone does these days), but our team designed the story and the entire game and oversaw everything. There is no crazy or dangerous real-time generation.
We have used open source LLMs trained on our game's lore and dialogue to generate quests. We have used our own private NeRF systems to generate some 3D models. Some of our marketing materials, game icons, and concept art was generated using art we had designers create under contract for this game. That art was used to train an open source generative system.
The cover art and character poses and expressions in our game were initially generated using AI during the development phase to enhance the creative process. These elements were then redrawn by our art team to ensure quality and originality. Additionally, the story text within the game was refined, proofread, and translated with the assistance of AI tools. No real-time AI content is generated during gameplay, ensuring players receive a consistent and controlled gaming experience.
The paintings and the voices are created with AI.
AI is used to generate some images and voice lines for the game.
The use of AI has been incorporated into the pipeline of some of our artists and developers, in some cases for creating references, in others as a base for further work and finishing.
Collapsed State is a project created by the RevoltGPT to showcase the power of our proprietary game development platform! This project was created almost entirely using our proprietary AI game engine editor, which you can use yourself at https://revoltgpt.dev! Thank you so much to our community for coming together to turn this project into a reality, we truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Dialogue voices were generated using the DeepVoice AI tool available in the Unity store.
Some UI elements and icons have been made using AI.
This is a SPOILER, actually, but your arch enemy in this game is an Evil Generative A. I. It must look accordingly. Big part of it is A. I. generated, and it's made as obvious as possible.
I Had A Plan! uses human-made sprites and assets, but uses AI to transform voices for most (non narrator/GM) characters. These were still recorded by the developer, but then transformed to sound like other people using AI. AI was also used to lip sync those voices.
AI used for current page artwork ONLY. None is used in game.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.

Some of the Graphical Content on the Store Page is, at least in part, AI generated.
AI is not used in game. However it was used for the capsule images.
The background of the capsule image on the store page was drawn by an artist, but then stylized using AI.
Human creation and the use of AI : ➧ 100% of the game's sounds were purchased and designed by humans. ➧ 100% of the animations VFX were purchased and designed by humans. ➧ 100% of the interface was designed, customized, and integrated by me over more than two years of meticulous, case-by-case attention, representing thousands of hours of work. These interface elements come from numerous resource packs purchased online from human artists such as Kodiac Graphics and his amazing Mercenary GUI https://kodiakgraphics.itch.io/mercenary-rpg-gui or PONETI and his 4000 icons https://poneti.artstation.com/store/zVzR/4000-fantasy-icons or PVGames and his trully unique 2D Srpites used as cosmetic in-game coat of arms appearances, REXARD https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/13229 Dream Circle for hundreds of incredible animations vfx https://dreams-circle.itch.io/ And many more ! I recently updated the sprites of all the enemies in the game using generative AI; the retro 3D rendering is incredible and perfectly matches the art style. All this represents approximately 15% of the game's graphics assets. But this was done carefully and sparingly, and in conjunction with human work and my artistic direction. ➧ 100% of the game's music was made by humans 15 Soundtracks by Alexander Nakarada 1 Soundtrack by Wolfgang Muermann 26 Soundtracks by Alkakrab
The game itself is completely 100% free of AI-generated content. I only used AI to help myself with store page. Examples: grammar corrections or generating character poses for artworks (composition and character designs are still handcrafted)
