Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some visual assets used in this game's store page and promotional materials were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All gameplay, code, writing, and audio were made by the developer.
Some of the visual assets in Iron Ledger, including the game icon and splash/menu artwork, were created with the assistance of generative AI image tools. All AI-assisted assets were reviewed and curated by the developer. No AI-generated content is produced live during gameplay.
This project uses a mix of human-made and AI-assisted content. The majority of visual assets are human-made. Some 3D character models, item models, and textures were generated with the help of AI tools. All animation, audio, music, sound design, and writing are entirely human-made.
Due to the very short development time frame (1 month) with a 1 man team some icons and images were AI generated and will be modified before the release.
Gold Admiral uses pre-generated AI-assisted visual content.
Generative AI tools were used to create or assist selected in-game artwork as well as selected Steam store and marketing artwork, including capsule images, the custom store-page background, and promotional graphics.
All AI-assisted outputs were reviewed by the developer and edited where necessary before inclusion. Gold Admiral does not use generative AI to create content while the game is running.
Some visual marketing assets and store page artwork were created or assisted using generative AI tools and were subsequently reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not generate content for players in real time.
Some of the visual elements and promotional materials for “Bubble Dogs” were created using generative AI tools and then manually refined, selected, modified, and integrated by the developer as part of the game's artistic production process.
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of selected 2D images, sprite assets, and marketing artwork, including some Steam capsule and store assets. It was also used for proofreading and editing written text. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, selected, and refined by the developer before being included in the game or official marketing materials.
Pre-Generated AI Content Disclosure:
In the development of Stellar Stranded, generative AI tools were used to assist with asset creation in the following areas:
1. Audio/Voiceovers: Generative AI tools were utilized to create or assist in the production of voice lines and character dialogue. All final audio assets have been pre-rendered and vetted to ensure quality and compliance.
2. Visual Textures: Select environmental and surface textures within the game were generated or enhanced using AI-driven imagery tools to assist with look-development and texture mapping.
All AI-generated content used in this project has been fully pre-rendered during development, reviewed for originality, and contains no live or real-time generation during gameplay.
Pre-generated only. The application's theme selector icons, some of the audio visualizer icons, synthwave transition/effect tree graphics were created with generative-AI image tools (OpenAI) during development and ship as static images, in all cases hand-edited afterward. All other content (visualizers, characters, themes, audio handling, and code...) is hand-authored. No AI-generated content is produced at runtime.
Character art, card illustrations, and store marketing images in this game were initially generated using AI tools during development, then manually edited, reviewed, and finalized before being packaged into the build. There is no live AI-generated content triggered by players during gameplay; all AI-related content is pre-generated static material.
Generative AI was used for some marketing visuals, evidence assets, and music. All other content including scripts, character sprites, and game development was created by the developer.
Some game assets and content were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. AI-assisted content was reviewed, curated, edited, and integrated into the final game by the developer. Generative AI is not used to create content during gameplay.
We used generative AI tools to assist in drafting, translating, and optimizing the text for the store page and marketing materials. All final content has been reviewed and refined by the developer.
We use AI image tools during concept and ideation. Final in-game assets are produced and finished by hand by our artists, with AI-assisted elements reviewed, edited, and approved before release. No content is generated live during gameplay
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with coding, game design ideas, music, dialogue writing, and select texture assets. All content has been reviewed and approved by the developer.
OrderlyWorld currently uses a limited number of pre-generated AI visual assets in the development build and store materials, including the main menu background. These assets are static and curated by the developer. The game does not generate content during play or connect to external AI services.
Assistance in programming ( the programmer can't remember Godot's _unhandled_input(event) syntax even after 5 projects… ). Assistance with text and minor graphic patching.
Some visual assets in Singularity Echoes and on this store page were created with generative AI tools during development, then reviewed and edited by the developer. This includes artwork for buildings, celestial bodies, and the Earth strategic map, as well as menu and store marketing imagery. Gameplay systems, UI logic, balance, and narrative text were implemented by the development team. The game does not use generative AI to create new content during play and does not connect to third-party AI services while you are playing.
CutBench is a video application that runs on the user's own computer. The application's core feature is based on pre-trained AI models. These models are included with the application and run only on the user's computer. They analyze gameplay video that the user recorded on their own computer: they recognize what is happening on screen, turn spoken words into text and detect audio events. For each clip the models then generate a short title, short text for the social media post and hashtags. All processing happens on the user's own computer. The application does not contact any third-party AI service, and it does not upload user content for processing. Some of the artwork on this store page (the capsule images, the hero image and the library images) was created with the assistance of tools that generate images using AI, and was then reviewed and edited by hand. The screenshots on this store page were taken from the running application and are not generated images.
Huiyu AI Image is a creative image editor and generator powered by local AI models running on the user's own hardware. All content — including edited images and AI-generated images — is produced by diffusion-based models executed locally on the user's GPU. No content is uploaded to external servers, and all generation remains private to the user's device.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with programming, debugging, text drafting, and localization drafts. All final game content, code, text, and store materials are reviewed and edited by the developer before release. The game does not use AI to generate content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services while running.
We want to be upfront about how AI tools were used during the development of Golden Years. This is a small indie project built mostly by hand, but a few AI assisted elements were used to help speed up production.
Where AI Was Used
A handful of environmental textures, about five or six total, were created or retextured using AI tools. These are simple surface materials used to add extra detail to the environment. Every AI assisted texture was manually edited, cleaned up, and adjusted to fit the game's style.
Where AI Was Not Used
All of the core creative work in Golden Years is fully handcrafted. This includes:
Level design and layout
Atmosphere, lighting, and mood
Gameplay systems and mechanics
Environmental storytelling
Overall direction and feel of the game
No AI tools were used to design gameplay, build levels, or shape the game's atmosphere.
Store Page and Descriptions
Some of the text on the Steam store page may use AI assistance for drafting or polishing. All final wording is reviewed and edited to make sure it accurately represents the game.
Gameplay Logic
AI is not used for in game decision making, player behavior, or gameplay logic. Everything that affects how the game plays is traditionally designed and implemented.
Some visual assets used in this game's store page and promotional materials were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All gameplay, code, writing, and audio were made by the developer.
