Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI was used only for in-game text localization and translation.
Some assets have been created with the help of AI.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating pre-rendered 2D artwork and graphical assets (including cowboy character portraits and background visuals), as well as generating select background music tracks for the game.
I mostly use AI for debugging and I make it document my code for me. I've been using it for placeholder art but intend on replacing all, or at least most of them by release. I use it like a tool I can turn to for general tasks rather then a crutch that does everything.
AI was occasionally used to assist in the creation of certain textures. However, these instances are light-hearted and do not impact the creative vision of Static Field Interactive.
Kerf - Sawmill Tycoon was made almost entirely with AI tools. The developer directed the work, chose what went into the game and approved every result, but did not model, rig or write code by hand. What that means for the content that ships in the game: - Code: written by an AI coding assistant. - Characters: generated by an AI 3D tool from AI-generated reference images, then rigged and set up in the game by the AI assistant. - Other 3D models: some came from an AI 3D tool - a vehicle and environment props such as rocks, mountains and bushes. The rest, including the valley, the buildings, the machines and the trees, were built in 3D software by the AI assistant writing scripts. - Animation: all character animation was generated with an AI motion tool. - Music: all of the in-game music was generated with an AI music tool. - Sound: some sound effects were generated with an AI sound tool; the rest were sourced from sound libraries by the developer. - Text: the in-game text was written with AI assistance, and the translations from English and Polish into the other 13 supported languages were made with AI. Everything was reviewed and approved by the developer before release. No content is generated by AI while the game is running. The Twitch integration only displays messages typed by real viewers.
Business And Life Simulator, uses generative AI-assisted artwork in some packaging visuals for in-game products/items. Generative AI is not used in any other part of the game, and we are working to remove these AI-assisted visuals before the full release.
This game contains pre-rendered AI-assisted artwork and marketing assets that were reviewed and edited by the developer. No live AI-generated content is produced during gameplay.
Some UI elements and 2D visual assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and then manually edited and refined in Photoshop. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed by the developer to ensure it does not infringe on third-party intellectual property.
Character portraits are entirely hand-drawn by artists. Background assets are created using AI as preliminary sketches, then comprehensively revised and manually reworked to achieve consistent art style.
Some art assets in this game (character models and Music) were initially created with the assistance of AI generation tools, then reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game by the development team. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime.

This game contains AI-generated 2D artwork, while all 3D models were created by hand.
Only used for assisting translations, no generative AI is used in the store page or the game assets
Blast Arena does not use AI to generate gameplay, code, or real-time content. Artificial intelligence was only used during development to help create certain promotional and marketing assets, such as concept art and store visuals. All in-game content and player experiences are fully handcrafted and not AI-generated.
Some minor 2d art is sketched with AI and then refined. Some music samples created with AI and composed by hooman.
Generative AI was used to assist in creating certain promotional and store page artwork. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and refined by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
Relyora is independently developed on a limited budget. Some visuals were created with AI assistance, then carefully selected, edited, and integrated by hand. No AI is used in real time. If the game finds an audience, revenue will be reinvested into working with professional artists.
AI-generated 3D models for characters and objects in the game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with certain production tasks, including localization and the creation of placeholder/reference materials. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay, and the game does not connect to or use any AI services while running.
Generative AI was used during pre-production to create early concept sketches, used purely as visual inspiration and reference. None of these initial AI-generated images appear in the final game, all art assets were subsequently created and replaced by the development team. Generative AI tools were also used to assist with writing portions of the game's code and with translating the game's text into other languages. In all cases, all output was reviewed, tested, and approved by human developers before being used in the final product.
AI-generated content was used for some 2D artwork, loading screen assets, and some secondary 3D models. I reviewed, edited, and integrated all AI-assisted content into the game. The main game systems, world design, gameplay, narrative, and historical research were created and developed by me.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with portions of the game’s code, gameplay data, English and Korean text, visual assets—including card, character, monster, UI, and environment artwork—and the creation of music, ambience, and sound effects. All AI-assisted material was reviewed and selected by the developer, then edited or processed where appropriate, tested, and integrated into the game. The game does not use generative AI at runtime, and no player input or personal data is sent to generative AI services.

Generative AI was used to create some promotional artwork for the game’s Steam page.
Some of the content in Broken Pixel was created using generative AI. All of it was produced during development, reviewed by us, and shipped as fixed, pre-generated assets — no AI runs while you play. - Story narration: the roughly ten hours of spoken narration were generated with an AI text-to-speech model (ElevenLabs). The scripts were written with AI assistance and edited by hand. - Player avatars: the 3D character avatars were generated with an AI image-to-3D tool (Meshy). - Store & marketing art: the capsule and marketing images were generated with an AI image model (Runware / fal.ai). - Soundtrack: the lounge soundtrack was generated with an AI music model (Mureka). The gameplay itself contains no AI-generated content — every room, screen, painting and level layout is built by traditional procedural code. Nothing is generated live, and the game never connects to an AI service while you play.
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of certain sound effects included in the game. These assets were generated during the development phase and are included as static elements in the final build. The AI was used as a supplementary tool to enhance environmental audio, while all creative direction, editing, and integration were performed by me as the solo developer
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with programming tasks and to generate some reference assets and 3D models. All AI-generated content was reviewed, modified, and integrated by the developers.
A few generated placeholder pixel art icons that will hopefully be gone by the time of the full official release.
Some visual and audio assets were created or assisted using AI tools, then selected, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game's story, gameplay mechanics, dialogue, programming, and overall design were created by the developer.
