Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game and associated materials uses AI generated audio and visual graphics content. All AI generated content is commercially licensed from the industries leading AI generation platforms.
In game artwork for characters, items, and background were made with AI based on non-copyrighted images.
All images, text, music, code, and other important parts of the game are created manually. We have used AI for some of the translation, as well as for creating some textures (for example - wall posters). The usage is minimal, and you probably won't notice it. This is done to speed up the development process. In the future, we may replace these assets if we deem it necessary.
We used generative AI to generate part of the 2D background art and manually corrected it.
In order to achieve better results, some characters, scenes, and animations in the game are generated using AI.
In the game are included images for cinematics, generated with a commercial image generation engine.
AI used to assist with background paintings & VO.
Some music and graphical elements (ie. music that plays during scenes, pictures that display during scenes, etc.) were edited and/or created using AI. These technologies are used sparsely throughout the game, and the entirety of Cryspace's story, characters, UI elements, etc. were not created using any AI technologies.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
Some music pieces are generated by Suno AI and labled. They have been purchased and can be used in commercial ways.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
It's midjourney premium for the backgrounds.
Photos were edited with Adobe Photoshop AI Tools
The game uses AI-generated images. Some character's voices and sounds are AI-generated. Some texts are assisted by artificial intelligence.
Prototypes for pregenerated content were used in one of the announcements.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure for NecroNomNomNom: Eldritch Horror Dating From the very outset, "NecroNomNomNom: Eldritch Horror Dating" was conceived as a cosmic horror experiment in itself. Instead of passively wondering how generative AI might impact creative professions, we decided to confront that existential dread head-on. Our core design philosophy was to push the boundaries of AI's capabilities, attempting to completely replace human creative input and, in essence, make ourselves obsolete in the game development process. Our findings, however, have been profoundly ironic and surprisingly reassuring. While generative AI played a significant role in various aspects of the game's development (including concept generation, preliminary asset creation, dialogue outlines, and certain code snippets), we discovered that achieving a cohesive, engaging, and polished experience still required substantial human oversight and manual intervention. AI, in its current form, proved to be an invaluable tool for iteration and initial ideation, but it could not replicate the nuanced artistic direction, problem-solving, and quality assurance that only human creativity and discernment can provide. Ultimately, this experiment demonstrated that the path to creative obsolescence is far from straightforward. In a twist we didn't anticipate, the very act of attempting to replace ourselves with AI actually created new roles and opportunities for human collaborators in areas where AI fell short. This project, born from a fear of replacement, has, against all odds, generated more work for creative professionals rather than eliminating it. The human touch remains indispensable in bringing a truly unique and compelling vision to life.
You engage in direct dialogue with artificial intelligence via a radio, which becomes a key element of the gameplay. Your conversations with the AI can directly influence the course of the story and the outcome of missions. The artificial intelligence, implemented using the advanced ChatGPT technology from OpenAI, is capable not only of conducting natural dialogues but also of exhibiting emotional reactions that alter its behavior and attitude towards the player.
Generative AI was used to create six placeholder images and one piece of music used in the game. These assets are temporary and are intended to be replaced with non-AL-created assets.
All illustrations were generated by AI.
The in-game assets/content do not involve AI generation. The use of generative AI in this game is solely limited to assisting in the creation of concept art for community items, including trading cards and badges, which are subsequently refined and adjusted by artists.
I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. They are locally generated using Stable diffusion, without resorting to paying any generative AI company. Although paying them could have given me better tools and results, I decided not to pay for their use to support the claim of artists for fair royalties. (It is not possible to discuss such a complex issue here, but I will consider opening a discussion on the topic in the game forum, follow my game to be notified if it is created) Most of the artistic content in the game, mainly music, is compensated in various ways depending on the case to its artists. My original content is registered, but the images generated by AI are essentially treated as 'creative commons' and I consider them fanarts of my characters. All added scenes and backgrounds are of high quality and maintain good coherence, avoiding deformities in hands, eyes, etc., and without annoying or confusing shapes. All AI-generated images are generated, selected, and edited exclusively by me, the creator of the game, to reflect my original vision, previously inaccessible due to high costs. I have sought to include only select content that enriches the narrative and immersion of the game.
During the development phase, some placeholder voices and vocal prototypes are generated using AI tools. These are used solely for iteration, testing, and internal production workflows. For the final release, all characters will be voiced by professional voice actors.

The original narrative of "My Poodle's Diary" is inspired by true events. AI was utilized to enhance the text, generate visual artwork, and provide narration, ensuring a polished and engaging experience. Despite this technological integration, each chapter has been meticulously crafted by hand to preserve the authenticity and emotional depth of the story.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them. Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools. Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
This game was initially developed without using Artificial Intelligence. Later, I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. Description of the Game’s Use of AI Our game does not use generative AI to create gameplay behavior or influence player decisions. All narrative content, character behavior, dialogue, level design, and artistic direction are hand-crafted by the developer. We only use AI in limited, non-gameplay ways, such as: Development assistance (e.g., debugging or improving scripts). Optional asset prototyping (concept sketches used as early references before creating final assets). No AI systems interact with the player during gameplay, and no player data is used to train AI models. The in-game guidance, character responses, and story progression are fully authored, not generated dynamically by AI.
The Art Director chose a composition for each background. They were then made by professional artists or, for a few, bought on Adobe Stock. Finally, the art director enhanced each background in Photoshop and also through LeonardoAI.
The only use of AI was to create voiceover for the trailer.
Generative AI has been critical for the development of this game and is infact a part of it's lore as well. Generative AI assisted us in producing pre-renders for our backgrounds and complimenting the high quality of our human made animations, the backgrounds of this game wouldn't have looked as beautiful as it does nor even possible had BOS released before generative AI existed. In simple: The game uses AI generated images for the backgrounds of different regions.
Due to the ambitious scope of the game, as well as our limited budget and manpower, generative AI has been integrated into our workflow to create pre-rendered "AI-assisted" assets. Character sprites (including facial expressions) are hand-drawn and colored, but enhanced using Stable Diffusion (img2img). Background images may be real photographs taken by hand, and/or AI-enhanced versions of real photographs (img2img). Voices are uniquely AI-generated by Eleven Labs. Proper inflection and tone are achieved by using an AI voice-changer to "wear" each voice and record lines individually. All of the above work is being done by the team lead, who is also responsible for the writing and programming, in order to bring his creative vision to life in a reasonable span of time. We appreciate your understanding, and hope you enjoy the game.
