Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some writing tools and image-generation processes were used alongside our own artwork. We begin with concepts and exploratory art created in-house, and these tools help us produce consistent final assets when needed.
The project makes use of AI as a support tool in the creation of Steam banners and marketing assets, especially for refining colors and lighting.
This assistance is crucial because our designer is color-blind (yes, daltonic), and AI helps ensure that the visual presentation maintains the intended impact and consistency.
In this way, technology complements creativity, guaranteeing banners that are both aesthetically appealing and effective for promotion.
AI was used for creating a replicate voice of the characters in the game from real people who gave consent. The reason why: they did not want spoilers.
AI was also used for sound effects to achieve sounds that were not obtainable naturally.
This game utilizes generative artificial intelligence as an assistive tool in the localization process for a wide range of languages; however, every line of dialogue and text has undergone rigorous human curation. The goal was to preserve the cultural nuances and emotional integrity of the narrative across all 29 languages, ensuring an authentic horror experience no matter where you are.
The narrative structure, sound design, and art were created and directed entirely by humans, without any AI support.
AI helped me a lot when moving from GML to C#. The music in the Early Access version is also AI generated this is just a free-time hobby project and I mainly needed some semi ambient tracks to set the mood. Later on, I plan to purchase proper human made tracks before the full release. Towards the end of development I also used an AI plugin for Aseprite to speed up animating some of my own hand drawn sprites, but the very vast majority of the graphics was made by me, handcrafted, pixel by pixel.
The music in the trailer, title screen graphics, game over screen graphics, bouncy ball graphic, and airplane graphic were all generated with AI. Everything else was produced by the people who helped develop this product.

To make our stories accessible to as many players as possible, we have used AI-assisted translation for French, German, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, and Turkish.
As a small team, we have worked hard to provide the best possible context for every scene, but we know AI isn't perfect. If you encounter any awkward phrasing or errors, please let us know! Your feedback helps us improve the experience for everyone.

All the image materials in the game are generated using AI, such as soldiers, maps, and backgrounds, but these AI materials have been further processed and are not used directly; they are usually stitched, modified, and so on.
This game uses artificial intelligence only to create static character portraits during dialogues. All gameplay, animations, mechanics, and other elements were developed traditionally. AI was used as an artistic tool to give style and personality to the characters in their conversations.

Generative AI was used in the creation of the game’s logo and certain background visuals, and was used to generate a small number of sound effects.
Additional audio assets were sourced from third-party asset stores and integrated into the project in accordance with their licenses.
All remaining content, including gameplay design, implementation, art, and systems, was created directly by the developer.
