Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

“This game includes a small number of static 3D meshes created with generative AI tools. All environments, gameplay, and narrative content are handcrafted.”
I used generative AI technology to produce some static (pre-rendered) visual assets: - Background photo of the board on the Title/Menu screen - Images of animals in the pop-up speech bubbles - Logos on the 'Achievements' page NO live generation of images/video using AI! NO banned content! All images in my game are considered tasteful & SFW (Safe For Work).
Some game scripts and minor visual assets were created or refined using generative AI tools. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure originality and consistency with the game's vision.
Cabin Curse uses generative AI tools to assist with development. Specifically, AI was used to help create early concept art, generate a few ambient music tracks, and design minor in-world details such as product labels on props (e.g., mugs, cereal boxes). No AI is used to generate content during gameplay, and all AI-generated assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
Some sound FX, texture maps, and background characters were initially started with AI, but after that all assets were either reworked, or built entirely from scratch by a trained 3D Artist. The developer is a 3D Artist more than a programmer, and so AI was used for help when building the Blueprints in Unreal Engine.
Generative AI content was used in the following cases: - The main character of the game on the covers of the Steam page - Music in the game - Voice acting in the game - Images for splashes and backgrounds in the game
the voices were created using speech synthesis, some ideas were taken from the concepts of ai
Generated images for some paintings and photographs using AI.
Our game does not use generative AI during gameplay or for live content generation. However, we have used generative AI tools during development to create some pre-rendered art assets and promotional materials (such as background illustrations and store visuals). All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game to ensure consistency with the visual style, appropriateness, and originality. No AI systems interact with players or generate content dynamically while the game is running.
Capsule art and some ai modeling are in this game
Generative AI was used to create the graffiti on the walls and all the posters in the game.
Images and videos generated with AI
Some of the 2D background art and promotional visuals were created with the help of AI image generation tools, then edited and integrated by hand. No gameplay-related logic or text was generated with AI.
AI was used to assist during coding the project and was used for some art assets.
Yes, we use AI-generated images in our game, but they are heavily reworked by our artists to match the final visual style. The pre-story video is also primarily AI-generated.
decotrative Drawings in-games and Trailer musics are only AI generated contents

The store pages that were not English are machine translated (i.e. DeepL, Google Translate etc.).
The game's artstyle and static assets were created using AI.
Some images and voiceovers are AI-generated, but they do not constitute the core part of the game.
Only the images used as background scenery were AI generated.
The voiceovers featured in the game were generated using AI technology provided by ElevenLabs. Some of the visual assets were created with the assistance of ImagineArt AI.
The station AI's voice is made by AI.
Ponchorado's music tracks where created with AI assistance.
Elevenlabs, some sounds
In the game, AI (DeepSeek) was used to create some natural landscape images, such as mountains, forests, houses, and fantasy spaces. All the above-mentioned content consists of images. Furthermore, all these elements were generated entirely by AI (DeepSeek) based on brief textual descriptions, created from scratch without involving any copyrighted human figures or existing images. Beyond this, no other content in the game was created by AI (DeepSeek).
During the development process, we use AI-based tools to assist in content creation. Mainly in terms of character audio, we use text-to-speech tools to generate dialogue audio for each character in the game.
The game's localization text was translated using AI, and a small number of illustrations were created with AI.
The faces of the characters are generated with the help of AI.
Some music in Journey to the Center of the Lost Waterpark has been created with the assistance of generative machine learning tools (short: "AI"). No content is generated by AI during live gameplay. All visual elements, mechanics, interactions, SFX, texts and story are hand-crafted by the (human) development team. The AI tools that were used for generating some music tracks are commercially licensed to ensure compliance with the platform's terms of service and intellectual property guidelines. There are 2 types of music in this game that were generated by AI: - At the end of the game: The final credits song - In-game: Everytime you see a song information in the bottom right corner of the screen when music starts to play
Some of the 2D background images were created using AI.
Marketing materials, the in-game loading screen and character portraits have been partially made using artificial intelligence.
This game uses AI-generated voice acting for some characters, created using ElevenLabs. No AI is used to control player behavior or decision-making.
All content in the game except text is generated by AI, such as portraits, backgrounds, and music.
Arts were made by AI
AI was used to create concept art. I'm making the game alone, with no budget, so it was necessary to speed up the process. However, the music, final artwork, code, animations, and script were all made by hand
Some art scenes utilized AI to assist in production
AI was used to pre-generate some images which are then used as reference and modified to create image assets of the game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist developers to create and debug game scripts, and support charactor dialogues and game description writing. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, edited, and curated by our team to ensure originality and compliance. No AI-generated content is produced in real-time during gameplay.
Some of the art in the storepage is AI generated
We use AI to generate character concept art and make refined adjustments to align with the game's atmosphere and immersion. Some music is generated by AI.
Our game utilizes neural networks for creating visually stunning and immersive environments. AI technology is employed in the production pipeline to assist in rendering backgrounds and character designs, ensuring a unique and high-quality artistic style. While AI aids in the creative process, all generated content is carefully reviewed, refined, and finalized by our team of professional artists to meet the highest standards of originality and quality.
Some images are made using AI.
Less than 4 assets utilized Midjourney tech to finalize the look of some environments and some indexing. This game is a labor of love and is overwhelmingly designed, animated, coded, and composed by humans.
Sound Photos Images
During development, AI-powered tools were used to assist with coding, early concept art, and placeholder voice acting (AI voice acting is temporary). These tools supported early prototyping, but the assets they produced are not representative of the final game and will be replaced by human-created content before the game reaches the Early Access stage.
Some of the marketing billboard textures have been created with AI. Image and Logo enhancements with AI tools in Photoshop
The major portion of the stories in the game is fundamentally human-made. See below for details. All raw graphics are generated using AI. Subsequently, manual work is performed by our developer, including composition revisions, visual detail correction, and color synchronization of images. For Graphics For all stories, raw graphics are generated by AI. Depending on the image structure and complexity, one to three hours of manual graphics work is required to achieve the final result. For Stories Magical Cats: After the images are created by artificial intelligence, we use our natural intelligence to imagine and write appropriate stories for each image. Since these stories make little sense as they are intended to. Moon Shade Tarot: After the images are created by artificial intelligence, the core story concept and event for each card have been devised by our developer. AI is then used to expand and rewrite this content for narrative fluency and readability. Missing Velsoro (Rangers Under The Moons): The story, characters, and narrative are written by our writer. Some adjustments are done by our developer. The images are composed of multiple raw images to match the story. To improve fluency and enjoyment for native speakers, artificial intelligence is used to perform final grammatical and stylistic corrections on all of the stories. Please check the respective DLC explanations for similar usage details regarding their content.
