Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I've used AI for a lot of things in this project. The code, 3D models, textures, 3D animations, music and more. I know a lot of people don't anything to do with AI so I want to be up front. This is a small pet project, I'm able to create a lot more of my vision than I could without AI. I do not dismiss the reasons people have for rejecting AI.
Some environment prop artwork was created with an image-generation model from written briefs, then hand-reviewed, cropped and integrated. Sprites, tilesets, audio, UI, achievement icons and all code are authored procedurally or by hand. No AI-generated text, narrative or live-generated content.
Generative AI tools were used during development to help create some visual and audio assets, including illustrations, textures, 3D asset sources and short character videos. This content is prepared in advance and included in the game. Hamsuri does not generate AI content during play or connect to external AI services.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of some of the game's pre-generated illustrations and visual assets. No generative AI is used to create content during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during PowerPitch’s development to create its code and player-facing content, including artwork, audio, text, localization, and promotional materials.
Graphics & Concepts: Generative AI was used to design and refine initial concept art, textures, and UI elements.
Texts & Dialogues: Portions of the lore, background stories, and dialogue scripts were conceptualized using AI language models and subsequently revised manually.
Code & Optimization: AI-assisted tools were utilized to optimize programming code and assist in debugging.
Note: All final assets in the game have been thoroughly reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer.
Modern generative AI tools have been used alongside traditional development tools to assist with creating and modifying some visual and audio assets. This includes tasks such as retexturing assets to improve historical accuracy.
As a small development team of just two people, we used generative AI tools in limited cases to assist with the production of certain visual assets and help manage the scope of development.
All AI-assisted assets were carefully reviewed, edited, refined, and finalized by us to fit the game's established art style and direction. Generative AI was used as a supporting tool during development, rather than to define the creative direction of the game.
Artificial intelligence was used to create the game logo, assist with the game's translation into multiple languages, assist in writing and translating the game's description, and help estimate the system requirements.
Some of the artwork in Boom Crew was created with the help of generative AI image tools. This covers character and object sprites, ground and paper textures, the game logo, and the capsule art on this store page. Every generated image was directed from hand-drawn mockups, then cut out, corrected and assembled by hand before it shipped. Code, level generation, on-screen text and audio contain no generative AI content, and nothing is generated live while you play.
AI Disclosure: Certain background textures, NPC portrait concepts, or promotional marketing assets in this game were generated with the assistance of AI tools.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create some decorative artwork and surface textures, including botanical table mats and room furnishings. These assets are reviewed and incorporated into the game by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to an external AI service.
About Generative AI Content
We want to be transparent with our players about how AI was used during the development of this game:
Visual Art: Certain visual assets and background elements in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools, then reviewed and integrated by our team.
Code & Development: We utilized AI-powered coding assistant and large language models to help prototype, write, and optimize parts of the game's code to speed up development efficiency.
All AI-generated outputs shipped to players have been curated to ensure they meet our quality standards for your experience.
Pawnimals uses generative AI as part of its development and content creation process. Generative AI tools were used to assist with the creation and refinement of some visual assets, character artwork, animations, voice/audio content, and other creative elements in the game.
AI-generated content is reviewed, edited, directed, and integrated by the developer to maintain a consistent visual style, character design, and overall player experience. Generative AI is used as a production tool and does not generate unrestricted content based on player prompts during normal gameplay.
・We are using generative AI to reimagine characters based on original designs.
・We are using AI to generate characters based on some original designs.
・We use generative AI to create illustrations for store and website images.
・We conduct pattern testing using generative AI for logic and communication tests.
Generative AI tools were used to create and edit selected pre-rendered visual assets, animations, and marketing materials. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
"Generative Artificial Intelligence was used to assist in the creation of 2D visual assets for this game, including the store page promotional artwork and in-game UI graphics."
Parts of this game's art, music and translations were created with AI tools during development and edited by hand. They ship as fixed assets — nothing is generated by AI while you play.
Tug-O-War Wrestling uses a locally-run AI model (Llama) to control enemy wrestler behaviour and decision-making during matches. This AI is not used to generate any art, audio, dialogue, or other player-facing content - all in-game content is human-created.
Generative AI tools were used in the development of this game, including character art and sprites, backgrounds and environment art, sound effects and music, in-game text and narrative content, and store page assets such as screenshots and marketing images. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and curated by the developer before being included in the game.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in creating some pre-generated visual assets, character artwork, backgrounds, and promotional images. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and selected by the developer before inclusion in the game. No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not connect to any external AI service.
Some of the art, music, voice-over and cinematic clips in Synapse Grid were produced with generative AI tools during development, then edited, curated and directed for release. Nothing is generated while you play.
The tools used, and what each produced:
Google Gemini - concept art and texture reference
ACE-Step - original music tracks
MiniMax-Music3 - original music tiles
IndexTTS - cast voice-over
MiniMax H3 (via ComfyUI) - tutorial and transmission video clips
All of this content was generated for this project. No third party's personal media, voice or likeness is used. The same list is shown in the game's own credits screen.
Separately, the opponent riders use a neural network trained by self-play. That system decides how a bike steers; it does not generate any art, audio or text that you see or hear.
In Game: Icons and splash screens in the game have been generated during the development process using artificial intelligence.
Store page: Images on the store page have been generated using artificial intelligence, with exception of in game screen shots which are not made using AI.

game. In-game text was translated into the supported languages with AI
assistance. All music and sound effects come from licensed, human-made audio
libraries.
Some in-game images, depicting traditional dress, festivals, food, and cultural artifacts, were created using an AI image generation pipeline (Google Gemini through an automated workflow). Every generated image was reviewed, curated, and approved by the developer before it was added to the game. No AI content is generated live during gameplay.
Urban Bus Simulator includes some content created with the assistance of generative AI. AI-generated content is used for certain HUD elements, menu/interface visuals, and promotional or illustrative images related to vehicle brands.
