Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Dockable was coded with the assistance of Claude Code (Fable 5), however it does not use generative AI to function.
AI used to assist in creating some pre-generated promotional artwork and visual assets used in snapWR and its store presentation. snapWR does not use generative AI to generate content during use.
AI tools were used for localization (language translation) of StatsStation's interface and store page text.
All speech audio is generated at runtime by a local text-to-speech model (Kokoro) running on the player's PC. Memnon reads text that is already visible on the player's screen and speaks it aloud. It does not write stories, create images, or generate any other content. If the player connects their own cloud API key, those voices are synthesized by their chosen provider under their own account. Some of the app's code was written with the assistance of AI coding tools. All artwork and store assets are human-made.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation and refinement of some static promotional artwork, interface text, and localization. All AI-assisted material was reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion. The application does not generate content during use and does not connect to any external AI service.
MistWindow includes static visual assets — the application icon, task-tray icon, and the sprite sheets for the bundled pet characters — that were created with AI tools during development, and portions of its source code were written with the help of AI coding assistants. All of this content is pre-generated and ships as fixed files: MistWindow does not generate any content with AI while it is running, and it does not send user data to AI services.
This application was developed in collaboration with AI. The promotional video (PV) on the store page is an AI-assisted recreation of the actual application behavior, and AI tools were partially utilized in creating the PV and other visual assets. The application itself does not contain any functions that utilize AI.
AI tools were used to support portions of the development process. All product decisions, rigorous testing, review, and final releases remain under full human direction and oversight.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create the game's visual art assets, including character images and animation/video assets. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated before release and included in the game. The game does not use generative AI to create content during gameplay.
Voxio uses a local AI model to understand spoken words and trigger sound items you have set up.
Localization and the visual assets for the store interface are generated using AI technology.
Dashboard Engine uses AI only at runtime, on your own device, and bundles no pre-generated AI content. On-device neural text-to-speech (installed by default): the app includes neural TTS voices (MeloTTS and Kokoro) that synthesize spoken audio from text locally on your PC. An English voice is bundled and installed by default; other languages download on demand. These voices produce speech at runtime — for the assistant's replies, spoken system alerts, and voice previews. They are used purely as speech output: a "voice profile" is a small set of tuning settings that reference a licensed base voice, and the app stores or uploads no voice recordings of any kind. Optional AI assistant (off by default): if you turn it on, you connect it to a language model you run locally on your own machine or local network (for example Ollama or LM Studio). Your typed messages are sent to that local model to generate conversational replies in real time, which can be read aloud by the on-device TTS above. There is no cloud AI service, account, or API key — nothing leaves your PC. All AI output is generated live from your own input and your own local models, so it is not authored or reviewed by the developer. No AI-generated content is pre-created or bundled with the app.
AI assistance was used to translate the user interface and this store page into non-English languages. The artwork, trailers, and original English text were created by the developer.
Store page capsule artwork was generated using AI tools. Application code was developed with AI assistance. All output was reviewed and tested by the developer.
HyperION DAW uses generative AI only for optional music and audio-production features. Depending on the installed local model and enabled feature, users may generate instrumental audio, sound effects, MIDI ideas, and related production material. Generated results remain editable inside the DAW and can be inserted into an arrangement, mixed, exported, or discarded. The application does not generate visual, adult, hateful, violent, or explicit text content. Users are responsible for reviewing generated material and ensuring that their use complies with applicable laws, licenses, provider terms, and copyright requirements. HyperION does not guarantee that generated material is free from third-party claims.
Yakutori uses on-device AI to translate Japanese text on your screen into English in real time. It reads the on-screen text with optical character recognition (PaddleOCR PP-OCRv5) and generates the English translation with a local large language model (Qwen3-4B). All AI runs entirely on your own computer — no cloud services and no internet connection are used, and nothing you translate ever leaves your device. As with any machine translation, the AI-generated output is not always perfect.
Generative AI was used as part of the creation process for certain store artwork and promotional materials. All final assets were selected, edited, and reviewed by the developer. SlapBox itself does not generate AI content and does not connect to external AI services during use.
ChimpChat is an AI application. Its core feature uses a generative AI text-to-speech model, running entirely on your own device, to synthesize character voices from text you write. Generative AI was also used to produce this store page's assets, including the artwork and the trailer; the character voices in the trailer were generated with ChimpChat itself.
RagNext Studio includes pre-rendered sample background artwork, character portraits, and icons created with Generative AI tools within sample demonstration projects. Additionally, RagNext Studio provides optional AI-assisted narrative and dialogue drafting tools for game creators during the design process. The software operates 100% complete offline out-of-the-box using built-in rule-based generators and offline templates.
Store page assets were generated with the help of AI.
This software does NOT use Generative AI to generate images, artwork, audio, or text. All visual elements, templates, and store assets are 100% original, hand-crafted art and photography created directly by the developer. Machine Learning and AI technologies are strictly limited to technical functionality and development: - Background Removal Tool: A local, non-generative Machine Learning feature accessed by users to instantly remove image backgrounds and create striking visual compositions. - Software Development: AI-assisted coding tools (vibe-coding / LLM assistance) were used during the programming process. No AI-generated content is included in the software or produced during runtime.
Art assets (pre-generated): In-game scene backgrounds, UI icons, and store page promotional images are generated using Doubao as initial drafts. After manual screening, modification, and style unification, they are packaged into the game. All AI-generated art assets have been reviewed manually one by one, confirming that they do not contain any violations such as violence or pornography, and no copyrighted third-party assets have been used as input for generation. The AI tools used all have commercial use licenses. Code (pre-generated): Some game logic code is generated with AI assistance during the development stage. After manual review, testing, and modification, it is compiled and packaged. The game does not call AI to generate code in real-time during runtime. During the game's runtime, there is no AI-generated content in real-time. All AI-generated content visible to players are pre-generated static resources.
AI-Generated code has been used to help speed up development, debug code, and optimize core systems. All engine architecture, structural logic, and tool designs remain fully custom-built from scratch. The final compiled software consists entirely of human-written and human-reviewed code to ensure strict stability, performance, and integrity.
Test cases, hints, solutions, testing and validation was assisted by artificial intelligence.

This app includes an optional AI chat feature: your cheer character can chat with you in real time, powered by generative AI. Using the chat feature consumes an in-app currency ("gems"), which can be purchased. A background image used on the store/library page (depicting a keyboard and a mug) was also created with the assistance of generative AI tools.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with writing, reviewing, and optimizing portions of the game’s code. All AI-assisted code was manually reviewed, modified, and tested by the developer. Generative AI is not used to generate content while the game is running, nor was it used to create player-facing artwork, audio, narrative, or other text content.
LumaEdge does NOT contain generative AI. LumaEdge was born in an RV going down the oregon coast (legit, lol), and its real-world test setup is not quite Steam-capsule material. Generative AI was used to help create and composite some multi-monitor environments shown in LumaEdge's trailers and the Steam store artwork (capsules, etc). All reactive gradients displayed within those environments were captured using LumaEdge itself and composited into those images. No LumaEdge gradient, on any image, was generated by AI. LumaEdge contains no generative AI features. No generative AI content is delivered with, or created by LumaEdge at any time.
Some of the code was written with the assistance of Codex.
Generative AI was used to support parts of the game’s development and to help create some marketing materials. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and refined by the development team.
Generative AI was used in creating pre-rendered SVG assets for the app's UI, logo, and Steam store capsules, along with informational text for the breathing patterns and "Knowledge" section, which was carefully researched and reviewed for accuracy.
Some visual assets (store artwork and logo) and localization text in this app were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer. The app does not generate any content with AI at runtime.
To streamline the creative workflow, this game incorporates AI-assisted tools. AI was employed for initial code prototyping and some asset creation; however, every aspect of the game has been extensively reviewed, modified, and refined to ensure high-quality performance and consistency.
Only the store capsule images and marketing assets were created with the assistance of AI tools to enhance visual quality. No in-software code, gameplay mechanics, or core content is AI-generated. We have ensured that these images do not infringe on any third-party IP.
The game contains pre-generated 2D artwork created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. This includes some character artwork, backgrounds, UI elements, and promotional/library artwork. All assets were manually reviewed and edited before inclusion. The game does not generate any content using AI while running.
AI tools were used during development as a programming and production assistant, under the developer's direction. The interface translations into 41 languages were AI-generated and human-reviewed. Some store and marketing assets screenshot compositions were produced with AI-assisted tooling. All design decisions, brand artwork, and the core wordmark are the developer's own work. The application does not generate any content with AI at runtime and includes no AI features.
This game uses generative AI in limited, non-gameplay-critical areas: - AI-assisted code refactoring and performance optimization during development - AI-assisted translation polishing for multi-language support - UI layout refinement suggested by AI tools during the design process All core gameplay logic, the unique drawing-and-deduction design, and all original game artwork were created, reviewed and refined by human developers.
NarrationOS uses generative AI to create its output. It synthesizes speech from your books using an AI voice model (Resemble AI's Chatterbox) and can generate a custom voice from a short recording you supply. A local AI language model assists with text analysis. All generation happens locally on your device. You are responsible for having the rights to any content or voice you use, and voice cloning requires your confirmation of consent.
This application uses AI-powered text-to-speech (Microsoft Edge-TTS) to read aloud text files that you import yourself. An on-device language model (or an optional API you configure) analyzes the imported text to identify speakers and assign voices. The app does not generate any original story, art, or music content — all audio is synthesized from text you provide.
This game's code was written with the assistance of generative AI. No AI-generated artwork or audio is used. The visuals are hand-coded by the developer and the music is procedurally generated. AI also assisted with some in-game text and its French translation.
Pre-generated AI: GPT Image 2 was used during development to create 2D paper-cut-style images included in the app, including weather phenomena, collectible visitors, ecosystem entities, Steam achievement icons, and key art for Steam store capsules and library assets. The developer selected and edited these images, including cropping, background removal, color and alpha cleanup, and export. The app does not use generative AI at runtime.
The AI model has been fine-tuned with multiple safety measures — including prompt restrictions, keyword filtering, and compliance safeguards — to ensure all generated content remains appropriate. If you encounter any inappropriate or non-compliant content during gameplay, please report it to our support team, and we will promptly review and make the necessary adjustments. Thank you for your understanding!
Portions of the application code were developed with AI assistance. Some UI text translations were produced with AI tools and reviewed by the developer. All visual assets, artwork, and design are human-made.
"AI offered the seeds, but I am the one who selected them with care, nurtured them with devotion, and waited for them to bloom. I serve as a humble gardener, cultivating a flower that never fades, right there on your desktop. Within this space lies the fruit of countless nights at my desk; it holds the tenderness I wish to share—a sincere greeting to every lonely soul. May this bloom rest quietly on your screen, bringing a breath of peace and fragrance to your day."

Keeplight Unclear | "AI offered the seeds, but I am the one who selected them with care, nurtured them with devotion, and waited for them to bloom.
I serve as a humble gardener, cultivating a flower that never fades, right there on your desktop. Within this space lies the fruit of countless nights at my desk; it holds the tenderness I wish to share—a sincere greeting to every lonely soul. May this bloom rest quietly on your screen, bringing a breath of peace and fragrance to your day." | Soft Embrace | - | Jul 22, 2026 |
